[Mc pov]
Sitting at the table, i watched as my mother smiled and ate with me. Looking at her lift the lid to the pot, showing me the spicy curry meat for my rice.
'This stuff smells too good.. like too damn good, i mean mom really stepped her game up for my birthday.' Waiting for my mother to eat, I thought to myself, my mouth was watering but I didn't want to be rude.
"You don't need to wait for me honey, eat as much as you like." My mother said picking up her rice and eating.
"Ok, thanks for the meal." I said before going straight for the curry, while i took a spoon full. When i put it into my mouth a pleasurable sensation spread across my tongue, every bite better then the last.
'She's still my baby, mother is sorry she has to lie to you. Just until you get older, Kiro is running out of time and soon I'll only have you.' Mako thought to herself looking over at her daughters face.
Watching her eat in a blur, while taken notice of the veins that stressed by her eyes and on her arms.
"Slow down honey, it's not going anywhere." My mother said as she placed her hand on mine.
"Uhh.. sorry mom, I didn't mean to." While in a trance I snatched my hand away, looking at my mothers face that was blank for a second. I didn't notice I had hurt her hand a little.
"It's ok, I think you ate it all. I guess I'll have to cook something else for your dad." My mothers face returned to normal, she wasn't hurt or mad. She was only worried and it showed in her eyes as I lowered my head.
"Where is father.. I mean I haven't seen him since earlier mom. Is he ok?" I asked not wanting to look in my mothers beautiful eyes.
"He is just tired honey, he wanted me to tell you happy birthday.. you know he is not good at these things but he still was proud of your progress. He will be up later and wants to talk to you about your quirk." Getting the dishes from the table, my mother spoke as she walked over to the sink.
'He wants to talk to me about my quirk? Really? I mean maybe I can get some answers at least.' Standing I helped put the dishes away.
After a while my mother walked out of the room, coming back after a while with a small box in her hand. I tilted my head slightly seeing the strange box but before I could ask anything, she handed it to me.
"Happy birthday baby, I know you might want more but I'm sure you had not being able to play because of school and training but I got this for you." Squatting a little my mother hands the box over while smiling at me.
"Thank.." I tried to say taking the box but my mother reached over and took out my simple earrings.
"And these are just something to make you even cuter, my little girl.. look at you, your so pretty just like your mother." My mother then pulled out a small square box, taking out two long silver ear rings and helping place them in both ears.
'Pretty? I don't want to be pretty.. but mom is so happy.. maybe I'll just wear them for a little and take them off later, yeah I'll do that." Thinking to myself, I saw my mom back up and rub my face. Her smile was like the sun, it could make the whole world melt away, there was no way I was going to disappoint her over earrings.
"Ok now.. open your gift, I hope that you like it. Me and you can even play with them if you want later." My mother said, while I opened the box slowly, even if I was mentally 75 I was a kid now, still this was my first actual gift and I mean like ever.
'It can't be.. I didn't think I would actually get these.. how the hell.' Looking in the box, I reached my hand into it, gripping two objects and pulling them out.
"What are these mother, there kind of heavy and really pretty." Lifting up the multi colored things as I held them up to mom. Watching her take one out of my hand, shaking it a little as a bell like sound came from inside them.
"These are.. Temari balls baby, there something used like any other.. we can play catch or kick if you want. Do you not like them?" Mother said, thinking I didn't like them at the face I was making.
"Temari? And what are you saying mother.. I love them, thanks mom!" Rushing into her I hugged her tight as she smiled and rubbed my back.
"Good, I'm glad you like them.. go play in your room for a while, I'll clean up everything here and when I'm done.. we can go out and play." She said, handing me the large hall before standing and walking into the kitchen.
'To think I'd actually get these, but are they the same as the original?' Nodding my head to my mother, I bounced the temari a few times as I thought. The temari felt like a part of me as I didn't even need to look and I would catch them.
'I can't test them in the house.. then where? Outside? But mom will freak out.. well only if she knows.' Smiling I walk to the wall, looking into the kitchen watching my mother hard at work in the kitchen. Slipping pass her I make my way to the front slide door.
[In the kitchen]
'She is growing up so fast.. I still remember when she couldn't even walk. Time is moving to fast.. I just want my little baby back.' Standing in the kitchen mako thought on everything that had happened. Smiling to herself at the face her baby made when getting the earrings.
'Me and your father will find a way to save you.. I won't let you become..' While washing the dishes and thinking she was cut off.
"Ahhh!"
Hearing a sound of a yell in her ear, her motherly instincts went on overdrive. She knew more then anyone the sound of her child. Her head snapped around as she ran to the hallway, when she was about to turn to go to her child's room she stopped.
'Nononono! Baby! I told you never to go out there while the sun was up!' Seeing the front slide door open, she started to panic as she watched the sun light creep into the house. Rushing to the front door with out any more worry as she heard another yell.
'Baby! Please be ok, I'm sorry I wasn't watching!' Rushing out of the door as the bright sun blinded her.
