The Black Night

In a battle field like place stood a twelve year old boy. Ashes filled the air and fire was everywhere engulfing the land. The air was so poisonous from the ashes, smoke, and other fumes that it burned the lungs of those breathing it.

Blood soaked the ground with countless heads, organs, body parts and weapons laying around. The sky was a deadly gray as the smoke continued to rise and cover the sun. The land was a flat terrain that was surrounded by mountains that also looked to be dyed red with blood.

In the middle of this was something in full fledged night armor. It was black with with red accents on it. The night like being suddenly looked in the boys direction and just stood there looking at him.

Kyosuke opened his eyes and looked at the scene in front of him. This was his tenth time being in this place and he looked the night dead in the eyes. The night took its long sword out the ground and held the hilt with both hands as he put it in front of him with the flat side facing him.

Responding to this Kyosuke got into a quick draw stance. His hands gripping the hilt and his eyes glowing as lightning arches slowly started building up around his body.

The night lowered his stance and raised the sword so that his hands are at his shoulder. His armor started glow with molten orange color, like magma from a volcano.

Breathing in a deep breath Kyosuke flashed and appeared in front of the night with his sword coming at its neck. The night saw this coming and and blocked with it's flat side and pushed Kyosuke back.

Doing a flip in the air to rebound himself he landed on the ground and quickly ducked dodging the blade that aimed to decapitate him.

<First person>

I had been fighting this thing ten tiAmes and they all ended with me dying. He was a night, so he had chivalry, but he also had better defense, he was stronger, he also had lots of damage dealing moves.

He only lacked in agility, speed, and attack variations. All of his attacks were straight forward and meant to get the job done fast and easy.

I put lightning around my sword and swung it horizontally at eye level to block his vision. A arch or neon red lightning shit out of my sword and I used [Flash Step] to get behind it.

It ducked instead of blocking and that's just what I wanted. I used my earth magic to make the ground hold him down and once the Lightning hit me I absorbed it and threw it back like a lightning bolt and it struck the night right in the back.

The only sound that was heard was the armor being pushed in. I didn't hear it scream or anything. The next thing I know is the knights head turn completely around and the eyes shoot out a bright orange beam straight at my head. I leaned back, but the tip of my nose was burned off.

It grew back, but the knight had also broke loose from my magic. I jumped back keeping my eyes on him as he readied his sword. I put my Ninjatō back into the inventory.

"Guess I'll have to do the Jin-Woo method." I said as I cupped my fist. I couldn't exert my full strength using a sword, but with my hands I could go all out and pummel the knight with blunt force.

That being said, knights also know had to hand combat, so I didn't get arrogant. He stuck his sword in the ground and put his fist up.

I did as well and pushed off the ground with all my might. I died so many times to this thing to not underestimate its strength. Even though I didn't know exactly how strong I was after the evolution I didn't get cocky.

When I launched myself at him a huge shockwave destroyed the ground behind me. I wrapped my fist in half of my total DP along with lightning and fire.

I appeared in front of the knight and it looked like he didn't even see it coming from the fact he was standing there motionless. I noticed slight movement, but my fist connected with its jaw.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM*

The knight flew through the air like a bullet making some sonic booms as it flew into a volcano and making another explosion. The ground looked as if a layer of it was wiped clean and I looked at my fist in awe.

'What the hell did I do.'

[Floor 6 cleared. Rewards processing]

I looked at my rewards with a goofy smile as I started fading from the sixth floor.

I appeared in my room on the bed and I just laid there looking at the ceiling. I made it so that I spawned back on my bed when I come from my Battle room.

"Lilith can you status check me?'

[Yup]

I tapped on the mail icon and a letter appeared.

<Dear champion, Kyosuke Kagayama is required to attend the annual meeting of the underworld. You may only bring yourself and come dressed in formal attire. The date is tomorrow at 5:30AM>

I closed the letter and my status board then got up and went outside.

"Just to be correct this is being held in hell right?"

[Yes, but it won't be like you heard. We have a pocket space for formal gatherings away from all the screaming and begs for mercy]

"Oh, I-I see." I said, slightly perturbed by her way of assuring me.

'I wonder what I should do now that I'm the strongest one in this world. I remember something about there being bad familias. There are also some disgusting people in this world, so I could do some vigilante work.' I thought.

I started walking back to town to just look around.

'It's gonna get pretty boring here. I'll just secretly follow the protagonist till I find something fun to do.'

The rest of that day was spent with me just walking around till I went back home to go to sleep. I do need to look my best for tomorrow.

(I know this chapter is extremely short, but I needed to tell you guys that I really do only know about season one of Danmachi. It was just a headache to watch, but I'll watch some of it for the FF. Lilith will also make an appearance next chapter)
