I X - [ C H R I S T I A N A ]

was spent with Daemon teaching me and telling stories about Hell; what the demons do, the rulers before him, the works. Daemon was going to teach me the demonic alphabet, but it turned out that they were already implanted in my memory, strangely enough, so that made things rather easier for me to remember spells and commands. Most of the training was boring, but it became slightly more interesting when he taught me about the spells I could cast—and cast I did.

The next session of training was physical. Caden lives up to his name as Hell's best man; nothing (and I mean ) gets past him, and though I try hard, I still wasn't able to assassinate him or even lay a single finger on him. Who would have thought, right? My best friend is a soldier from Hell.

Right now, I'm getting ready for a frat party.

Why, you ask?

Simple.

It's because Lina is going to be at the same party.

Remember what Daemon said the first time I met him? He had wanted me to kill her in the most brutal way possible. It would be a walk in the Chasm; we're sisters and all, but we have a mutual feeling of hate towards each other.

I put on a pair of bright red stilettos and adjust the hem of the white bodycon I have on. I then walk towards the full-length mirror in my room, and grin evilly at my reflection.

I grab a matching red clutch and walk down the stairs ever so confidently. My parents, thankfully, are helping out at church tonight like every other Saturdays—this makes it much easier to get out of the house.

I grab my car keys, hop in the car and drive to campus, feeling adrenaline in every part of my body.

at the frat house, by Tiësto is blaring from the speakers.

Swaying my hips to the music and blending in, I spot a group of guys around a table that I recognize as Lina's friends. I head over to the table, keeping in mind that I should seduce them all the way.

"Hey, guys," I say, touching one of the guys' arms lightly.

"Christie, hey!" The guy who I have my hands on—I think his name is Miller—exclaims. "Didn't expect to see you here."

I shrug in the most flirty way possible. "I figured I would give it a try."

"Hey, man, who's this?" A guy from the opposite side of the table asks.

Before Miller can speak up, I smile and introduce myself to the group. "I'm Christie."

"She's Lina's sister." Miller adds.

"Well hel-, Christie. I'm Theo." The guy from earlier smirks.

"Zach." A boy in a green plaid top says.

"Hayes. And this is Levi." One with dirty blonde hair gestures at the boy beside him.

"Great to meet you all," I smile shyly.

. A voice says in my mind.

. I counter, ignoring how tempted I am to roll my eyes.

.

I take a deep breath.

.

"Oh, have you guys seen Lina, by any chance?" I ask, batting my eyelashes and making Daemon scoff inside my head.

"Uhh," Levi starts, dumbstruck. "She's in a room upstairs with Dean."

I prop my elbows on the table and rest my chin on my hands so that a little of my cleavage can be seen. "Which room, might I ask?"

. Daemon mutters, and I can almost imagine him snarling and bearing his fangs.

"S-s-second to the l-left of the staircase." Levi stammers. All the other guys are too busy staring.

"Alrighty then," I throw him a wink. "Thanks for the help," I say, before spinning on my heels and making my way up the stairs.

? Daemon grumbles.

.

I turn the doorknob of the door Levi told me Lina is in. It isn't locked, those two dumb fucks. They must really want people to walk in on them doing the hanky-spanky.

When I open the door, Lina is straddling her boyfriend on the bed and is only noticing that I am in the same room as them. "Shit!" She screams, covering her chest. "?!"

"You." I point at Lina's boyfriend, who is staring at me with his jaws hanging loose. "Out."

Dean quickly throws Lina off of him and grabs his clothes, covering Dean Jr. with them before scurrying away like a hermit crab.

Lina looks pissed off at what Dean had just done and she lets out a groan in frustration. "What the are you doing here, Christie?! Jesus Christ!"

I close the door behind me and can still hear the music from downstairs clearly.

"Answer me, you bitch!"

"," I say, and she shuts up. She tries to speak and scream, but no sound escapes from her lips.

"You can't say anything now, can you, Lina?" I ask as I walk towards her. Lina starts panicking and picks up her clothes, then cover her private parts with it and makes a beeline for the door. "." I utter, and the door locks from the outside. Lina tries to twist the knob open though to no avail, but continue at it due to desperation.

I laugh menacingly and cross my arms in front of me. "Do you know what I wished for my birthday, Lina?" She slowly turns around to see me and reluctantly shakes her head. "Remember what I asked Mom all those years ago on Christmas night?" For a moment she seems thoroughly confused, eyebrows knit together, thinking. Then her eyes widen in realization and her eyebrows shoot up, making me chuckle. "That's right, I wished to be Satan's Little Helper. And guess what?" As if on cue, Daemon appears beside me and he wraps an arm around my waist, an evil smirk on his face. "He granted my wish."

Celina looks like she is about to pass out. If she could speak, she would let out a blood-curdling scream, letting the whole house know what's going on. Thank Satan I silenced her.

"Lina, this is Daemon. Also known as..." I look up at him and grin. "...Satan."

Lina's eyes roll to the back of her head and she collapses onto the floor. "Oh my, we can't have her out cold," I say, frowning. I break free of Daemon's grip and walk over to her, then grab her arm and twist it hard. Her eyelids fly open immediately, mouth making a shape that indicates that she is screaming in pain. Her arm starts making a kind of cracking noise, and with a final jerk I snap it right off. Blood squirts out from the amputated stub and onto my dress like paint on canvas. "Focus on me, ." I spit and her eyes look like they're about to pop out of their sockets.

"See, in order to be his Little Helper, his right hand, I must do what he told me to do―" I lean down so that my lips are to her ears. "―."

Tears stream down her face as she pleads with her eyes. "Oh stop crying, will you? You look much uglier when you do that." I roll my eyes and let my fingers morph into claws. I then stick one clawed finger just below her right eyeball, scoop it out and do the same with the other, resulting in two black pits staring back at me. "There you go, Lina. Now you won't cry again." I smile sweetly at her before turning to Daemon behind me. "Like a taste?"

Daemon grins at me and takes a step forward before crouching beside me and taking my hand. He licks blood off, not breaking eye contact with me. Upon finishing, he utters darkly, ","

I giggle in satisfaction, and it comes out low and haunting. "." I mutter before snapping my fingers and the spell is undone. Her sobs now can be clearly heard, though the music is still marginally louder.

Pinning her down with my knees, Celina tries to push me off using her one arm. She kicks her legs out blindly as well, practically struggling under my weight. Her thrashing is no use, though, not after what Daemon had given me. My claws, still fully extended, sinks into her flesh and right through her bones. I reach out for the heart as it still beats, and Celina's final breath comes just as I rip it out of her. I drag my tongue from under it to the top before handing it to Daemon, who seems thoroughly impressed by my doing. "Here you are, ."

Daemon's chuckle is malicious and deep. " job," He praises, and closes his palm. The heart doesn't burst, but disappears instead. "I'll be displaying it proudly at home."

I stand up, and so does he. He eyes my mostly-bloody dress up and down and sighs in content. "Absolutely ," He whispers huskily into my ears and caress my waist. "I'm looking forward to being with you in Hell, M."

And boy, so am I.
