Operation Cooperation!(1) (RR1)

"I-I don't believe you!" Naruto stuttered, his spirit shaken.

"Fine, do it. You would be an insult to the face of a shinobi anyway," Sasuke smirked, while looking at Sakura, who was about to encourage Naruto.

Despite all the pranks he committed, the only consequence he got was hatred from villagers and teachers. He was already used to it so it didn't mean that much.

Never once did he think he would be kicked out of the Academy, so he was frightened his conviction showed to Iruka yesterday would go to waste by this harmless prank.

Naruto hesitated for a while before finally letting go of the duster.

While Sasuke was observing them, he noticed they were more tense than usual.

'Ah, my words finally sink to their thick skulls.' he snickered, to himself.

Seeing no one was looking at him, he opened his Sharingan, which was fully matured.

While he expected time would 'slow down,' he didn't think his vision would dyed red and would enhance to a considerable degree, allowing him to see a detailed image of a sparrow on the tree, from its feathers to its legs and even its eyes, though it lack colour beyond red and black.

It feels as if he was seeing the world through a periscope or specifically a highly advanced video recorder due to slowed-down time around him combined with advanced vision.

'It's enough for today,'

Deactivating his Sharigan, he once again stretches his arm and begins to recall the infamous introduction 'he' and Kakashi gave.

'Definitely that needs to be changed.'

After an hour, Kakashi finally arrived.

'I thought they would be frustrated, but they seemed to be okay,' not knowing the reason, he concluded they were more patient than Hokage credited, especially Naruto who was known for having ADHD.

"Good morning, I am Kakashi Hatake, your current sensei." he greeted while looking at three genin who simply nodded.

'They seem interesting.' he told himself before calling them to meet outside in the forest.

While Naruto tried to speak up, he was stopped by Sakura, reminding him of Sasuke's words.

Seeing how tense these Genins were, he decides to break the ice by asking for an introduction after giving his usual 'stuff' talks.

However, before the excited Naruto said anything, he was stopped by Sasuke: "Why should we give our introduction if our sensei doesn't trust us to tell us?"

Sakura wholeheartedly agreed, while Naruto was hesitating

Kakashi was taken aback, not used to hearing valid complaints from a Genin.

'I guess they are special compared to what Hokage says.'

While Sakura kept hitting Naruto to convince him to earn brownie points from Sasuke, Kakashi was busy with his thoughts.

'I see no point in making excuses anymore.' he thought, satisfied by Sasuke, who was indirectly asking to trust him and his teammate, departure of the loner image Hokage described of him.

"Good point Sasuke, as sensei, I should trust my students, the same way as you will do." He continued: "Unfortunately, I don't have much of a goal, don't have time for hobbies, and as shinobi I can't be picky about what I can do, so I don't have the introduction you were hoping for."

Naruto wondered why he was so busy while Sakura dreads whether or not she would have time to write fanfic about her and Sasuke!

Sasuke meanwhile nodded, pleased Kakashi was not being the infamous prick he was at the beginning.

Just like he expected, Naruto and Sakura gave their introduction similar to anime, though their expressions were more subdued when looking at Kakashi.

When it was his turn, Sasuke gave his own version: "I am Sasuke Uchiha and I have no particular hobbies or liking unless you count training as a hobby and a liking of mine."

"I don't like people who don't take the situation seriously and drag everyone else down."

"And my goal is to be Anbu commander." he said that raises eyebrows of KakashI.

Unlike the other two who were unaware of the meaning of Anbu since they had no one to explain its existence, Sasuke belonged to the Uchiha Clan, one of the founder clans of Konoha and has a son of the Fugaku, the deceased Uchiha Clan head.

Moreover his brother and Shisui were part of Anbu, so Kakashi didn't feel out of place for Sasuke to know their existence, especially when an Anbu squad were monitoring them.

'While not as ambitious as my Sensei's son, the position itself is still prestigious.'

Kakashi thought, who has worked for over 7-8 years and knows how ambitious Sasuke's goal was.

Being commander of the Anbu would give him autonomy, allowing him to assign missions without Hokage permission. It would also give him the rights of a Hokage if the latter were to go missing or pass away without a successor.

'Shinsuke was the only one who could have got the vacant position until he met his mysterious death.'

Only reason Kakashi never wanted the position despite being Anbu Captain for 3 years, having multiple achievements and approval from everyone but Danzo, was because of the politics he loathes.

Kakashi wondered if he should inform the Hokage or not while Sasuke was pleased Kakashi believed him.

'While it was half-life, I honestly wanted to refine the Anbu and make them more useful for me to use.'

'Which also includes the Root.' he grinned before wiping it out before anyone noticed.

"Umm.. Sensei, what is an Anbu Commander?" Sakura asked, who did not know the shinobi ranking system as she never tried to understand them in class.

Naruto nods, who rarely pays attention in class, was curious of the goal Sasuke has.

"Alright, I'll start from the beginning."

"There are 2 ranks you need to achieve to become a fully fledged ShinobI."

"Genin and Chūnin."

"Wait, aren't we already shinobi?!" Naruto yelled, heartbroken, realizing he still needed to study, unaware of the process of being Chūnin.

Kakashi corrected: "Technically you are, but you are too inexperienced for it, hence you are called Genins, the apprentices who would learn from me until you become fully fledged shinobi."

Sakura had a foul mood, realizing there's more years needed to be spent to become shinobi like Kakashi describes, unlike what his father says.

'Then again, he regrets quitting before becoming Chūnin then it is supposed to explain it..'

"Next there are 2 rankings, Tokubetsu Jōnin and Jōnin."

"Unlike the other two, they are actual promotions, based on your performance and approval by the elders."

"Despite Tokubetsu Jōnin a rank below Jōnin, I warned you not to look down on them, as the former are usually either specialist or someone that is not highly viewed."

Sakura nods, while Naruto was confused why the elders did not want someone to be Jōnin.

Kakashi continued:"In our village there are a couple of divisions, the largest being the general force while the smallest being Anbu."

"Based on your capability, you will join a division."

"For example healers usually go to the Medical-nin division while the sensory type Shinobi goes to the sensory division."

"And what Sasuke wanted is to be head of one of the divisions he mentioned." Kakashi concluded and looked at his students.

Sakura understands while Naruto still has no idea what Anbu does.

'Well he is Sasuke, so I guess it must be impressive.' Naruto convinced himself and faced Kakashi with an 'I understood' face.

'Well, it's not like I am going to explain what's an Anbu, so it's fine' Kakashi thought after seeing his face.

"Anyway, tomorrow I will take a test to determine your capability." He continued with a grin:"Hope you pass this one, as I will send you three back to the Academy if you fail otherwise."

Naruto and Sakura wanted to protest before getting glared at by Sasuke.

"By the way, don't eat anything in the morning unless you want to vomit." Kakashi grinned until he disappeared in front of them.
