I went up to my room to wait for supper and to think about what I needed to talk to Anita about. There was an email from New Economy.

We are very sorry to hear of your problems at school. We take issues of copyright and plagiarism very seriously. Unfortunately we are unable to find any communication that uses your full name instead of the initials given as the author's name on our site. Unless you can come up with another way to show your authorship of the article, we are not in a position to help you at this time.

It sounded like they were politely stating that they didn't trust me any more than my school did. It didn't help that I was using a different email after being spammed at the one that I had used to contact New Economy. That old account was dead and gone. They were responding to a note from someone who just claimed to have written an article for them.
