Chapter Three

I walk back to camp. My eyes see everyone around the campfire listening to Aanya. She has a beautiful voice. I take a seat. I see the way Ajay eye's are watching her, it was clear he has some type of feelings for her, I wasn't sure how strong.

My eyes see Chetan and Zare approaching. They look upset about something. I really hope there is no fighting tonight. I want to return to Riya as soon as possible.

The song is finally over, and everyone claps.

"Glad you two can join us." Ajay looks at them.

Zare smiles awkwardly.

"You mind telling me where have you been, Zare?" he asks.

She retells a story of the apple tree and how he said Kiara will die. I know Ajay can relate to the tree. He has taken many apples from it, which is partly why I feel he lost some of his sanity. And Chetan, I figure he led Zare to the tree, for some brownie points, thinking no harm was done.

Kiara looks scared, and it hurts my heart.

"So you left for a date of picking apples, how romantic," Ajay snaps.

Smoke starts laughing, giving Zare a wink.

"Fuck this shit. Come on, baby, we didn't have to take this. We will just leave the pack,"

Chetan remarks.

"Correction, you need the Alpha's blessing to leave the pack, and you don't have it,"

Ajay comments.

"And?" retorts Chetan.

"You leave, you lose your wolf forms ,and that little mark you two share."

"I think we both know Zare and I share more than just being Mark mates," Chetan snaps.

I roll my eyes at the stupid fight which is taking place.

"Are you sure about that?" I see the anger hit Ajay's face.

"She loved every minute of it, and I am sure she didn't pretend all that moaning." Very classic comment Chetan. I had to bite my lower lip to stop myself from laughing.

"And that's why she was begging for my forgiveness. Because, in the end, Zare knows

who's better. Isn't that right, baby?" Ajay gives me her wink.

"What about you Dev? You bone Zare, too? Do you have anything to add?; asks Smoke,

making a pouty face at Zare.

I narrow my eyes at Smoke, but before I can say anything, Cricket pipes in.

"Enough, everyone!" yells Cricket. "Let Zare join my pack; it will separate you two and

get her off your hands."

"No, Zare is my cub," Ajay states.

"She needs something different. She's not happy, or she wouldn't be running off,"

Cricket says.

"Do me a favor; worry about your pack, and I will handle mine." Ajay grabs Zare

by the arm. "Chetan, follow me now." he yells. I watch as they roam in a different direction. I want to stick my nose in it and let Ajay know I think he is acting like an ass. But I will let Chetan handle his business.

I feel Smoke's eyes upon me, and I am really not in the mood for this shit. I am moments away from beating the hell out of smoke. He is such an arrogant asshole. He is my least favorite member of the pack.

"You have a problem Smoke?" I eye him, hoping he has something smart to say, so I can forcefully shut his mouth.

"Nope," he smirks at me.

I stood up and walked towards Chetan before, I really hurt someone.

"He is such a dick!" I overheard Chetan say.

"Yeah, I wronged him. He's mad at me." Zare sighs.

"Do you think he actually likes Aanya?" Chetan asks.

"No," Zara shakes her head.

"You sure?" he asks.

"I guess I don't care," she says, shrugging her shoulders.

I walk closer , wrapping Zare in a big hug.

"You know I am always here for you?" I say, looking at her beautiful brown eyes.

"I know." She smiles, wanly.

Look at you, bro, stealing Alpha's girl." I laugh, playfully punching Chetan in the

arm.

"You know me, bro." Chetan laughs.

"Don't let that act fool you. He is fucking pissed; he was in the camper earlier throwing

shit all about." I recall the situation earlier, before I found Riya.

Chetan cracks up laughing. "I am glad he's mad."

"That Smoke is such an ass." I feel my face turning red.

"Seriously, you're telling me. I am about to whoop his ass."

"I will join"; I chuckle.

Chetan and I watch Zare walk over to Kiara. I smile, seeing their relationship. It's so sweet.

"Dude, why did you show her the tree? Are you crazy?" I eye him.

" I pretended like I knew nothing, trying to score points with her, you know how she likes adventure."

"I figured that much." Chetan and I know that Ajay took apples from the tree.

"I was careful about how many apples she took," he tells me.

"I know, just make sure she doesn't go back." I glare at him. Yes, I love Chetan, but I was aggravated he showed her the Tree of Knowledge. I know Ajay's warnings are true.

I see Zare returning. I smile at her, before turning and leaving.
