Chapter 6: Hateno Village

The next morning, Ryu and Yanagi awake and after cleaning there weapons and clothes continue there trek to Hateno Village.

A few hours of traveling and the two approach the forest right before Hateno.

Ryu: "We're almost there. We just have to travel through this forest and then we'll be at Hateno."

Yanagi: "Good, because I need a drink."

???: "HEELLLPP!!"

Ryu and Yanagi make there way towards the source of the voice as fast as they can.

When they arrive, they see two Hylian women being attacked by two red Bokoblins. Ryu unsheathes Blood Rose and dashes forward.

One of the red Bokoblins brings their sword down on one of the women, but before it can cleave into her flesh, a loud clang sounds throughout the forest. The women opens her eyes and sees Ryu standing in between her and the Bokoblin. Ryu kicks the Bokoblin in the knee, causing it to fall and then he plunges Blood Rose through the creatures neck. Ryu sheathes his sword and looks over at the Hylian woman.

Ryu: "Are you ok, ma'am?"

Woman: "Y-yeah, thank you."

Ryu: "No problem."

Yanagi walks over with the other woman and the 4 head towards Hateno Village.

Once they arrive the women give their thanks and leave.

Ryu and Yanagi make there way to the local tavern. When they arrive the two witness a Rito be thrown to the ground by a Hylian. Ryu and Yanagi make there way over to the commotion.

Ryu: "Hey! What's going on here?"

Rito: "This thief is trying to steal my wares!"

Thief: "Oh shut up, just give me the gem!"

The thief attempts to attack the Rito again, but Yanagi steps in the way and grabs the thief's arm and holds him there.

Thief: "Hey man! You're hurting me!"

Yanagi: "Get out of here before I throw you to the Moblins."

Yanagi throws the thief to the ground. The thief quickly gets up and scurries away in fear.

Rito: "Thank you, if there's anything I can ever do to repay you, don't hesitate to ask."

Ryu: "Actually, there is."

Rito: "Oh, then let me buy you a drink and we can discuss it."

Ryu and Yanagi follow the Rito into the tavern, Ryu and the Rito take a seat at the bar counter and Yanagi makes his way to the card table. The Rito motions to the bartender and the bartender brings out two glasses and fills them with wine.

Rito: "Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Bass and I'm a traveling merchant."

Ryu: "I'm Ryu and the one at the card table is Yanagi." he says pointing behind him.

Bass: "Now, what did you need?"

Ryu: "We're looking for someone, a man with a scar on his lip."

Bass puts his wing to his chin and gives it some thought.

Bass: "I'm sorry, I haven't seen anyone that matches that description."

Ryu sighs and takes a drink of his wine.

Ryu: "Thanks anyway."

Bass: "I might know someone who has seen him though."

Ryu: "Who?"

Bass: "He's a knight of the kingdom, if this guy is really bad then he might of at least seen him at some point."

Ryu: "Thanks, I owe you one."

Bass: "Don't be ridiculous, you're the ones who saved me."

Ryu smiled and thanked him again, he then went and grabbed Yanagi from the card table. The two ate and then got some rest for tomorrow.
