#Chapter2

Hello College Life

We went to the register’s office, got our information, and drove over to our dorm. Elena pulled up and parked the car. We climbed out, grabbed a box, and walked inside. We found our room and opened the door. There were three beds with two desks and dressers. It had a huge walk-in closet for our clothes.

There was a bathroom that separated our side from the boys’ side. I was checking it out when a boy with glasses opened the door, then closed the door. Elena and Marissa walked into the bathroom to see what was going on.

/"What was that?/" Elena asked.

/"More like who?/" I whispered.

Then the door opened and standing there were the three most awkward boys ever. I even heard one say, /"I told you they were hot!/"

Another responded, /"Oh, my god, I wet myself./"

The third was even better. /"I hope the girls will play Dungeon and Dragons with us./"

/"Okay, but I get the one in the middle. That girl is fiery,/" one guy commented as he pointed at me.

My eyes widened, and Marissa walked over to the door, /"So you’re saying that myself and the other girl aren’t hot?/"

/"Not as much as she is,/" he said, pointing at me.

/"Well, boys, too bad. She has someone, and her boyfriend can break you like toothpicks,/" she said, slamming the door on them.

Okay, I needed a shower after that creepy encounter. Even in college, the nerdy boys are scary, ugh. Ryan better gets here soon.

We settled in and called the guys and put them on speaker. We told them about our suitemates, and I could hear the agitation in Ryan’s voice when we told him the guy told me I was hot.

/"I will break him like a twig,/" he growled.

/"That’s what I told him,/" said Marissa.

/"That’s my girl,/" Frazier chimed in.

I could tell Frazier had a shit-eating grin on his face.

/"I don’t think you boys have a thing to worry about,/" Elena added.

/"Why?/" Jordan asked.

/"They like to play dungeons and dragons,/" she answered.

We heard the other end become silent, then laughter. The guys were laughing so loud; I knew our suitemates heard.

/"Sounds like you guys have some real winners there,/" Jordan said, trying to stifle a laugh.

/"Who knows? If they play their cards right, we’ll have some fun. Can you play a strip version of it?/" Elena retorted.

/"Wait! What?/" Jordan asked as he stopped laughing.

/"It’s late; we got to go to bed,/" she said.

/"Elena!/" He yelled.

She hung up the phone on him.

/"Was that necessary?/" I asked her.

/"With Jordan, yes, it was. Don’t worry, in five-seconds your phone will be ringing. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,/" she assured me.

As soon as she said that my phone rang, and I answered it to hear a husky voice, /"Hi baby./" My cheeks heated to his huskiness.

/"Hi,/" I said.

/"I didn’t get to talk to you,/" he mentioned.

/"Sorry,/" I apologized.

/"Why are you apologizing? Jordan has some major ass-kissing to do./" I heard Jordan yelling profanity in the background. I giggled at that thought. Jordan didn’t kiss ass unless it came to Elena.

/"Can you talk for a few?/" He asked.

/"For you, anytime,/" I answered.

We talked for a while, and I told him everything that happened since we left. He said to me about what he and the guys were doing. He even told me he made sure Jules helped other people out. I’m not sure if it was because he hated other women bugging him or make me happy. Whatever the reason, I was glad. I hated her.

/"It’s time to go to bed. Goodnight, baby, I love you,/" he told me.

/"Night babe, I love you too./"

I hung up and crawled under the covers. Yes, we even made sure we locked our door. It would be a long semester. Breathe, Alex, breathe.

/"What are you going to do about Jules?/" Jordan asked Ryan.

/"I don’t know, but she’s driving me up to the fucking wall,/" he groaned.

/"Why did you lie to Alex and tell her she was working for other people?/" Frazier asked.

/"Because I know she hates Jules with a passion. She doesn’t trust her, and I don’t blame her,/" he answered.

/"What if she tries something,/" Jordan asked him.

/"That will be the last time she tries anything. I’m not my father. I won’t let a stupid bitch come between my girl and me,/" he informed them.

/"Yeah, but your father always takes care of things,/" Frazier assured him.

/"Yeah, but it almost broke up my parent’s marriage until my mom took control. I know they love each other, but it was hell when it happened. Elena and I got caught in the crossfire,/" he said.

/"Dude, I’ve never seen your mom that angry. It’s not something I ever want to see again,/" Jordan stated.

/"Because of that, I promise myself; I would never let another woman come between the woman I love and me. I never want to cause Alex that kind of pain, ever,/" he told them.

I opened my eyes to see daylight shining in through the window. Elena and Marissa were still sleeping. I used the bathroom and brushed my teeth. As I brushed my teeth, I heard the door on the boy’s side open and slam shut.

I walked over and heard one of them say, /"Dude, I got a boner!/"

Oh, my god, what are these guys? Twelve? Where was Ryan when I needed him? My cell phone rang, and I looked at the screen and smiled. Ryan was calling.

/"Morning, baby,/" I heard him say. He sounded sleepy. I missed his voice first thing in the morning.

/"Morning, babe,/" I greeted him.

/"How did you sleep?/" He asked me.

/"Okay, how about you?/" I asked him back.

/"Lousy,/" he answered.

/"Why?/"

/"Because I didn’t have you to snuggle up to and wake up in my arms./"

/"Aw, I miss you too, babe. Plus, these guys are creeping me out. I heard one say I gave him a mistake,/" I whispered, trying to keep our suite mates from overhearing.

There was silence on the other end.

/"Ryan?/"

/"Well, I can’t blame him. You give me one every day,/" he chuckled.

/"Well, I will help him out in that case,/" I teased.

/"Don’t you dare! You’re mine,/" he declared.

I smiled at that. /"I wouldn’t dream of it./"

We talked more, then I locked the door and took a shower. I didn’t need Dungeon and Dragon boys watching me.

Elena and Marissa woke up and got ready; then we left to explore the campus. The last thing I wanted to do was get lost on my first day. After seeing all the school campus so I could remember it for later. Thank God for a photographic memory.
