Why is my brother so dumb!

While Lolipop was away serving her customer. Mitch, with a red swollen palm print on his face, made himself busy by cleaning up the shop and checking the commercial stocks and handling bookings using a software developed by alien technology (humans from another world?).

At this moment, the morning rays pierced through the crystal door and cast dancing swirls of tiny rainbows on gilded gold countertops. The opal marble floorings glitter with gleed and bleached ironwood cupboards stood proudly with a faint weak light.

Columns of crystals with curious faint glows were suspended in mid air, raising and dropping in a hypnotising fashion. These crystals were specifically designed to attract curious patrons who did not wish to change their fate, each crystal has the ability to keep them safe from physical harms, curses and hex once contracted. Once the glow died, the patron can trade for another one from the store.

Other peculiar and weird products were lined up in neat rows like an exhibited art-pieces on the cupboards. Some had a unique price attached to it, some only solely for one to one exchange. Fleeting apparitions of princely handsome guys and unearthly beautiful women appeared in the store, some stood by the merchandise, ready to greet and assist any incoming customers. A few of the ghosts (who looks like librarians) fizzled into sparks before appearing again, passes lists of customers to the ghosts handling the sales. Cute genetically altered zombies with childlike innocent features assisted the ghosts with the heavy loads. Mitch looked around, pleased that the store was ready for operations. It should not be long till the second customer arrives.

(Hopefully, there will not be a mad rush during lunchtime.)

Although, a marginal volume of customers came in hoping to change their destiny, majority just visit out of curiosity and to ogle at the handsome staff.

Nestled in the middle of the city centre, it was nothing short of a dream come true for him.

As the hour ticked nearer to the eleventh hour, the moon blocked the sun in the sky and eclipsed the city. At this precise moment, a shadow flitted into the store.

"Quick! I have a few minutes before the eclipse end!" The guy in the white hoodie slammed two sharp fangs on the counter.

"Count Dracular! 🧛‍♂️ Here is your potion as you had ordered!" Mitch poured a glass of sparkling moon nectar for his guest.

The vampire downed the whole glass in a single gulp and breathed a sigh of relief.

"I hate the sun! Even after so many centuries, my skin gets sun burn so easily! No matter how much sun screen I apply, i still look freaking dark after a second in the sun! Look!" The vampire showed the part of his hand that was uncovered and pulled his sleeve up to show the contrast between his smooth black sun burnt skin and pearl white skin. But at this moment before his very eyes, his blacked skin turned dewy white.

"Oh God! It is working! it looks even whiter than my original skin! Are you sure it is not sk12 that you made me drink? You sure you can't make this permanent?" The dracula's happy eyes widened in disbelief.

"Well, I can. But you refused to leave this planet and stay on the moon. It was too costly for you." Mitch replied.

Conveniently dodging his question despite having supreme hearing, the vampire skirt around the topic, "Can I get a year supply delivered to my place?"

"Well, you just gotten your year supplied. Just come back same time next year. The drug should last till then." Mitch smiled, but deep inside his heart he was rolling his eyes at the count.

Thank god he put a protective spell on himself, or else he would have gotten into trouble if his mind was read. That was why his staffs were ghosts and zombies. They would not be able to offend any of his customers, especially if they were mind readers. Since spirits are theoretically brain dead, a mind reader would not be able to pick up any brain signals.

The vampire pulled down his hoodie to reveal a gorgeous crop of royal blood colored hair. His eyes had a tinge of gold and ruby brown. He carried an unearthly bad boy look, mysterious and dark magnetic aura. That makes one drawn to him, and tempted to submit to him as his prey. "Thank you, boy." He winked, made a turn and left. He was glad that the boy did not offer himself as food, he had so many encounters of humans volunteering as blood sacrifice. He is like the flame and all other earthly beings are like moths. A lot of times, he felt he was harassed and sometimes he bite these people in anger and that set off a whole string of witch hunt for him. It is a shame for him to be a vampire because he likes being in the crowd, basking in the warm light without being forced to feed on others. Till now he is deeply traumatised by the phrase, "Please drink/ eat me!", who wouldn't!

"Who was that?" Lolipop asked with a smile on her face and fluffy white ears propped up. Her tail was visibly excited.

Was she interested in the vampire? Mitch wondered and looked at his sister, trying to assess her facial features.

"That was count Vvladimir. Our long term client and investor. He's old." Mitch replied coldly. He was definitely glad that he casted a mind reading spell (Mind readers like his sister seemed to be particularly attracted to him, such bad luck!). After all, he had just gotten a slap from her a few minutes ago and the last thing he wanted was to get into trouble again.

"Since when did age matter? And what did he exchange?" Lolipop asked curiously.

Mitch avoided the minefield and proceeded to explain, "Well, we have in our hands the very first vampire fangs. This little thing can help us to turn any other vampires back to human, control other vampires and night flying creatures, ward off any blood thirsty creatures, or lengthen a person lifespan or create a miracle recovery from major injuries or cancerous diseases or to create a blood bonding love spell or a charisma enhancing potion. This ingredient is super potent"

As he explained, he took out a 7cm by 7cm moon obsidian box filled with a hundred year old sage with rare blood resin. He then took the fangs and pressed it into the resin. The fangs throbbed as veins grew to absorb the blood. "This should last a thousand year." Mitch scribbled a date and pasted on the container before finally putting the container away in the safe. After all, this useful ingredient is the one and only in the world.

"And where did you get that blood?" Lolipop asked with big curious blue eyes.

She was looking really cute at this point of time, she definitely turned up her innate charm. Mitch at this point realised he had forgotten to cast a charm prevention barrier. No wonder, he felt intimidated when his sister asked him about the vampire! There definitely wasn't anything wrong with him.

"Oh, I travelled back in time and when I was back in the present the blood aged to a hundred years. It definitely was not from a hundred year old dying man on the hospital bed almost breathing his last, whose body accidentally became younger with lots of vigor again." He casted a charm protection spell and winked.

Speechless, she rolled her eyes, "boring!" Since her brother figured out what she was trying to do- teasing him, she felt the need to find another victim. Afterall, she does have the blood of a canine. And all canine wants is a good affection from.. almost anyone.. well anyone she chooses. The thing is, she does not like to make things too obvious cause she shy.

"I am going out for lunch!" Lolipop said in a sweet cutesy manner.

"Don't flirt too much haha, remember protection!" Mitch laughed, after all, with the way she flirts, she is definitely gonna get herself involved in a cat fight. It was definitely in her best interest to have a defence spell cast in advance. And she is definitely not going for lunch, she's just an attention craving, curious little vixen beastgirl.

"Why is my brother so dumb" she rolled her eyes again. Honestly, if she roll her eyes again, sooner or later they are gonna pop out.
