Chapter ten: Hang out

********* Ryan POV ******

"I'm.. sorry about that Alicia... never knew you felt that way" Alicia smiled sadly at me "it's ok ryan.. atleast I had someone to share my story with.. I feel a little better now".. I was about to say something but the school bell interrupted, indicating that lunch time was over "oh looks like lunch time is over.. we better get to class now or we'll be late for history class" mark said as he stood up.. "umm sorry but I have English class" Alicia said "No way, me too" I said as we both stared at Mark with an apologetic look on our faces "ah c'mon!!.. you mean I have to attend class alone?!!.. it's not fair!!" mark whined as I chuckled at his crazy ass behaviour.. I stood up and patted his back gently "you know what else isn't fair mark?.. Life.. life isn't fair" I faced Alicia "c'mon Alicia, let's head to class or we'll be late" Alicia nodded in agreement and stood up... we both headed to class and luckily, our English teacher hasn't arrived yet.. we both took our seats. Suddenly the door bust open as our English teacher walked, heading towards her desk "Good afternoon class" "Good afternoon miss Ana" we all chorused in unison. "today we'll be talking about consonant clusters... Everyone, open your text books to page 15" Everyone did as they were told as miss Ana began teaching.... My mind drifted back to Alicia sad story... hmm I see now.. Alicia was just acting on how she was brought up.. spoilt, arrogant and rude... after hearing her story, I'm somewhat convinced that she must have a good side.. and I'm really curious to know what it looks like... looks like I'll have to find that out.. after school's over...

School period was finally over; I packed my books quickly and ran out to meet Alicia "hey Alicia" she turned and smiled "oh hey ryan" I scratched the back of my head nervously "so umm, there's this amusement park that just opened downtown and I was wondering if you'd like to come with me to check it out" Alicia's smile widened "of course I will" I smiled back "great" "so.. like a date?!" she said, facing down as she twirled a strand of her hair on her finger while blushing slightly. I sighed heavily "no Alicia.. it's more like a friendship-kind-of-thing" Alicia looked at me with widened eyes "wait, we're friends?!" I scoffed at her silly question "of course we are.. what exactly do you think we were?" "umm I thought... Never mind.. let's just go" I nodded as we walked out of the school building..

"Hold up, lemme get my car keys" Alicia said, searching her purse.. "No need for that.. we'll use my bike instead" Alicia was a bit hesitant but she finally agreed "ok then, let's use your bike". I smirked as we walked down to where my bike was parked. I hopped on it and wore my helmet "you're in luck cuz I brought an extra helmet" I handed her the helmet "but I've gotta tell you Ryan, I've never actually ridden a bike before" she muttered the second part under her breath but I was able to hear what she said "Come on, it'd be fun.. don't you trust me?" Alicia was hesitant but she put on the helmet "I trust you Ryan" she hopped on the bike.. I smiled as I ignited the bike and drove off... I turned to check up on Alicia and saw her eyes sparkling with happiness.. let me make this more fun.. I turned the speed up but not too much "whoa!!! this is so much fun!!" Alicia screamed and started laughing while I chuckled "the fun hasn't even started yet, wait till we get to the park"....
