Chunin Ryu Uchiha

After the medical shinobis took Saizan away on a stretcher to the hospital, the audience broke out of their stupor and cheered loudly for the winner of the chunin exams and everyone in the crowd made sure to remember the name Ryu Uchiha who was sure to become a big game player in the future.

Also in the Kage box just as the match had ended the raikage, tsuchikage, kazekage and the mizukage had already made up their minds to put a bounty for the young Uchiha of the leaf village in the bingo book and had recognised the threat he posed to the enemies of the leaf village.

Meanwhile the mizukage was the most angry at the moment because all his plans for the chunin exams had failed and all that due to one 6 years old child, and if that was not enough the mist village would definitely need a new jinchuriki since a jinchuriki with no hands was really a waste of the tailed beast's power.

Without doubt the most satisfied person with the match's result was one Hiruzen sarutobi who was calmy smoking his pipe knowing that the things would atleast remain calm between the hidden villages for some time due to the outcome of the chunin exams since every village will need to focus on bringing in missions which would be scarce for them in the following months.

If Hiruzen was being honest even he was surprised at Ryu's abilities even though Sakumo had given a brief summary of the young Uchiha's abilities. Now watching the immense shinobi powress of Ryu Uchiha possess, even the third hokage considered him and essential shinobi of the leaf who could help in shaping the leaf village's future.

Meanwhile Sakumo who had been watching his student from the stands since the beginning couldn't help but feel proud of his student who had cemented his name across the 5 nations as the prodigy of the generation and this only motivated Sakumo to increase the intensity of Ryu's training as the experienced shinobi could see that if trained properly Ryu could become one of the strongest shinobi to ever live.

After the final results were announced all the finalists of the chunin exams were summoned to the arena except for those who were injured and obviously those who were dead. In the end after a couple minutes of discussion among the supervisors of the exams and the five kages it was announced that out of initial 8 finalists of the chunin exams only four had been promoted to chunin. The four shinobis who had been promoted were - Ryu Uchiha, Fugaku Uchiha, Saizan and Hashiro Hyuga.

The outcome of the chunin exams was evident to lie heavily in favour of leaf village which had irritated the other four kages since it was always the leaf village getting the most recognition since the days of it's establishment. Ryu was given a certificate and his chunin vest by the third raikage, A who although recognising the threat that the young uchiha posed, couldn't help but have some respect for the Ryu's strength in battle.

It was common knowledge that the third raikage A was a battle maniac and did respect those with strength regardless of the village, and while shaking hands with raikage Ryu could definitely see that the raikage wanted to fight him in the future, an idea which even Ryu had entertained afterall, kage or not, Ryu was not one to back from a fight but he still had a long way to go if he wanted to fight on even terms with the infamous third raikage.

After the chunin appointment ceremony was done with, Ryu met up with Sakumo outside the stadium who congratulated him before both student and teacher went on back to their hotels. In the hotel, Ryu quickly freshned up and changed into new clothes before him and Sakumo went towards the village main gates.

As they arrived at the sand village's main gate, there they saw the third hokage along with 4 leaf anbu gaurds waiting for them. Upon noticing the Uchiha and Hatake, the hokage said,

"Sakumo, Ryu let us go back we've already been delayed"

As Sakumo nodded the leaf group of shinobis formed a protective diamond around hokage before they rushed towards the leaf village.

It was also decided that the injured finalists of the chunin exams such as Fugaku and Hashiro would travel back to konoha a week afterwards when they have regained their strength and have enough energy to travel to konoha.

Of course since no body asked Ryu didn't mention about his dragon summons which help them reach home faster and thought to himself,

'Perhaps a little bit of travelling does sound like a good idea'

And simply followed the group maintaining his position on the left flank of the hokage while occassionally activating his sharingan to check for enemies or hidden traps.

It took the konoha group 3 whole days to reach the hidden leaf village borders having camped for sometime in between to rest their legs. During this entire time that Ryu had been travelling, he was always thinking about improvising his training regime as he felt that he had gotten too comfortable with the current one.

Also a brilliant idea had popped up in his mind to improve his control over the wind element as he trained his wind element with a little help from Sakumo during the travel as he wanted to perfect his Futon: Wind Armour as soon as possible. With the rate he was going at it was possible that it could take him possibly upto an entire year to perfect his personal ninjutsu.

But the time didn't matter to him since he knew that once he could use wind armour to its full potential, it would surely be classified as a S ranked ninjutsu, moreover he didn't just plan to stop at this and wanted to create more jutsu of his own but for another year his sole focus would be on the wind armour which even the third hokage had praised him about mentioning it to be very unique and innovative.

As the konoha group reached the main gates of the village, the gatekeepers quickly saluted and bowed to their leader who gave a single nod to them before looking at him and saying,

"Ryu you can go home take rest for the week after which you can begin your duties as a chunin of the village"

To which he simply nodded and replied,

"Hai hokage sama"

And with that the hokage and his anbu gaurds disappeared in shunshin while Sakumo and Ryu filled in their registration before parting ways onto their own homes.

Looking at sky he could tell that Kiyomi and Mikoto must still be at the academy so he just shunshined directly to his house in the Uchiha clan compound. Entering his home he had a sense of relaxation after coming back after such a long time and couldn't help but compliment Kiyomi in his mind for taking such good care of their home.

As Ryu quickly went on and took a shower before changing into his new clothes and quickly freshned up before he put on his new chunin vest which he thought looked pretty good on him. Looking at the time, he saw that it was almost the time for end of academy classes so he exited his house and started to walk towards the academy.

While Ryu walking towards the academy through the Uchiha compound he could see many of his clansmen look at his chunin vest and whisper among themselves while many even congratulated him over his promotion to chunin. All this attention was something he had already anticipated since he was the youngest chunin in shinobi history and the Uchiha clan certainly took pride in his accomplishment.

As he reached the academy he saw many parents had came to pick up their children who had just started to exit the academy gates. After standing there for a couple of minutes he saw Kiyomi and Mikoto walking together towards him. As he walked to the two Kiyomi finally took notice and looked at him with the sweetest smile and said,

"Ryu kun you're back!"

Hearing this even mikoto looked at him and immediately noticed the chunin vest and commented,

"Ryu kun so you're really a chunin now"

Ryu simply smiled back at his two friends and replied,

"Yes I am a chunin now, how is the academy going for two hmm?"

Hearing Kiyomi and Mikoto suddenly came to his sides and started to walk to with him towards the Uchiha clan compound all while explaining to him all that has transpired in the academy since he was gone and all the new things they have learned.

What Ryu failed to notice was from some distance a certain blonde haired prodigy student was looking at him with determination and excitement and thought to himself,

'So Ryu is a chunin now, he truly is improving at an unreal rate, perhaps I should go and ask for a spar sometime to see how much he has become'

To Minato, Ryu was a mountain he wanted to climb even if it was only halfway through and he couldn't help but acknowledge the genius and talent of Ryu Uchiha.

After Ryu along with Kiyomi and Mikoto dropped off Mikoto to her house, where he also met with Kagami and Riya who also congratulated him and even invited himself and Kiyomi for dinner which he politely refused since he just wanted to sleep right now feeling extremely tired after days of travelling.

So after the Yuki and Uchiha reached their home, Kiyomi quickly went to freshen up while Ryu tied up his apron and got to cooking lunch. After half an hour of cooking he had prepared himself and Kiyomi some sushi and soba along with rice balls which both him and Kiyomi ate all while he told her everything about the chunin exams.

After having his food, him and Kiyomi quickly cleaned up the dishes before he turned to her said,

"Kiyomi I think I'll go and sleep now"

The Yuki who could clearly see the tiredness in his eyes smiled at him and nodded replying,

"okay I'll be in the back yard practicing if you need something"

To this he just patted her head with a small smile which made her pale cheeks get a hint of pink blush as he went on upstairs while Kiyomi went on to the backyard to train her ice element.

Meanwhile as Ryu entered his room he hung up his chunin vest and changed into comfortable clothes before lying on the bed. As he turned to the picture of his mother Naori Uchiha, he smiled sadly and thought,

'Are you watching me kaa-san I'm a chunin now I hope you'll guide me ahead'

Before his eyes turned drowsy and he went into the peaceful slumber of sleep.
