Chapter 9

Ryota woke up feeling an intense pain in his chest. He looked down to see strange markings on his skin that he had never seen before. They were faint, but the markings looked like some kind of ancient symbols. He tried to rub them off, but they didn't budge.

"What's wrong?" the girl's mother asked, noticing Ryota's discomfort.

"I...I don't know. I feel this weird pain, and I have these marks on my body," Ryota said, pointing to his chest.

The mother inspected the markings closely, a look of concern etched on her face. "I've never seen anything like this before," she said, shaking her head. "We need to get you to a doctor."

Ryota tried to stand up, but his legs gave out from under him. The pain in his chest was getting worse, and his body felt like it was on fire. He collapsed onto the ground, writhing in agony.

The family rushed to his side, trying to soothe him. But nothing seemed to help. The pain was getting worse by the minute, and Ryota felt like he was going to pass out.

Suddenly, he heard a voice whisper in his ear. "We have been waiting for you, Ryota. The markings on your body are a sign that you have been chosen."

Ryota tried to look around to see where the voice was coming from, but he couldn't see anyone. He was in too much pain.

"Chosen for what?" Ryota asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"To be our vessel," the voice replied. "To carry out our will and usher in a new age."

Ryota tried to fight against the voice, but he felt his body being taken over. He could feel the power coursing through his veins, and he knew that he was no longer in control.

The family watched in horror as Ryota's eyes turned black, and his body started to contort and twist. He let out a blood-curdling scream, and then everything went black.

When Ryota woke up, he was lying on the ground, covered in sweat. He looked around, confused and disoriented. The family was staring at him, their faces full of fear.

"What happened?" Ryota asked, his voice shaking.

"You...you changed," the mother said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Your eyes...they turned black, and you started speaking in a strange language."

Ryota felt a wave of nausea wash over him. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Was he really possessed by some kind of evil force?

"I need to get out of here," Ryota said, his voice trembling.

The family nodded in agreement, and they all set out to find a way to put an end to this nightmare. But they all knew that it wasn't going to be easy.
