I ran out of the diner, and he was leaning against his car.

/"Get in./"

/"How can I tell you’re telling me the truth with whom you say you are? You could be a killer or perve./"

He rolled his eyes, then walked towards me.

/"First things first. If I wanted you dead, you would be dead. Second, guys aren’t my thing. That is Nik’s department. Third, stop being a royal pain in the ass. Get into the fucking car./"

He turned and climbed into his car.

I walked over and climbed into the passenger side. Then we took off.

/"Where are we going?/"

/"You’ll see./"

He glanced at me while he smirked. Great. I didn’t know this guy. He claimed to be a cousin. I wasn’t sure if this was a smart idea. Guess I would find out.
