About Dust and its Uses

I'm already giving these information to my readers who haven't watched RWBY, so you won't have to go to the wiki or learn about it in the internet. These are the necessary information that you should know, so you won't have any kinds of confusion while reading. Read properly and carefully to understand if you didn't get it in the first time.

- Dust is a source of energy in Remnant. The physical properties of Dust make it incredibly useful for a variety of purposes, particularly in the weapons of many characters in the series. It is known to make a distinctive "shimmering" sound passively and when in use.

- Dust is known as a naturally occurring and is commonly used as fuel for the various machines, gadgets, weapons and vehicles in RWBY. Its crystallized energy propellant version can be used and triggered by the Aura of Humans and Faunus.

- For unknown reasons, Dust does not function outside of the atmosphere of Remnant, precluding the possibility of space flight.

- Dust can be found in four basic types . These four types can be combined both artificially and naturally to form other types of Dust, each with their own unique properties.

- Different colors of Dust appear to correspond to their different natures or effects. The four basic colors are shown to be red, blue, yellow, and green. Other known colors include dark blue, cyan, white, purple, bright orange, dark orange and pale blue. Each color has its own unique property.

- Dust can be found in two distinct states, crystalline and powdered. Both crystalline and powdered Dust are known to be highly explosive. For example, during the Dust store robbery, Roman Torchwick threw a crystal at Ruby Rose's feet and fired at it, causing a sizable explosion.

- The powdered form appears to be even more volatile since something as innocuous as a sneeze is enough to detonate a cloud of Dust.

- Both powdered and crystalline Dust can presumably be activated by Aura. There are many hunters in RWBY that uses Dust to give their weapons some additional or 'magical effects'.

- Dust serves as a power source for the majority of technology in Remnant, from airships to androids, though some alternative technologies that doesn't use Dust do exist.

- Dust can still be used without the aid of weapons or machines and can be unleashed in its raw form such as lightning.

- In machines that is powered by Dust, they are required to have circuits to function.

- Some weapons are shown to be fueled by Dust for a more "magical" style of combat. By doing so, Huntsmen combine the brute force of the weapons themselves with effects like object enchantment and elemental attacks such as weather and nature manipulation.

- All of the known weapons incorporate Dust into their designs, either by utilizing Dust into an attack, as seen with Myrtenaster, or using Dust in the form of bullets or ammunition. It is implied that all firearms in Remnant use Dust ammunition that can have different effects. The bullets can come in several different sizes and cartridges to be used for any given situation. It is also safe to say that the weapons that Hunters use can transform into a Gun.

- Dust can also be used in its raw form, which is described as being "elegant, yet destructive" in nature and requiring a certain level of skill to maintain control over.

- If utilized properly and skillfully, Dust can be used to give Semblances added effects upon use.
