im not at combat class having a sparring match against team crdl alone, i didnt use my ninja outfit at this but im wearing a black trousers with a red, orange and yellow flame design on the right pant leg and red and black footpads. im also wearing a red gauntlets with a triangular pattern of metallic studs on the backhand.

if your a tekken player or played tekken then you'll know this outfit resembles jin kazama, before the match starts i grab my right gloves fixing it "your wasting my time" before looking at them then i copied jin starting form. team crdl got provoke at this then match starts as they charge at me.

2 guys first arrived a dual knife guy and a sword wielding i will call them guy 1 and 2, guy 1 first arrived he tried to stab me but i low kick him he trip and i spin around and kick his head then he flew out. guy 2 arrive next he swung his sword i side step and axe kick his head then punch his stomach.

cardin and the halberd guy follow up who i will call guy 3 they attack together but i blocked their blow, i then rained punches at them before delivering a powerful punch at guy 3 and then kick cardin at his chin follow up with kick at his stomach.

then guy 1 recovered and attack me again i block all his slashes and stabs and then grab his hand and kick his temple and back head then i throw him towards guy 2 knocking them out. the halberd guy charge at me swinging wildly, i punch his leg and then sent a strong punch at his face knocking him out.

cardin who is the only one left charges at me we trade blows but more like cardin receiving my blows and i block his attacks, then i punch his face dizzying him then i duck dash and sent an uppercut "shoryuken!" knocking cardin out. "this is reality" i said to him ending the match..

'hmm. wait i think i messed up that finishing blow meh never mind' i thought to myself. "well done mr. uzumaki. you should have no problem qualifying for the tournament" gleenda said to me "thank you professor" i nodded at her.

"alright, now i know that's a tough act to follow but we have time for one more sparring match. any volunteers?" she ask the students at that were at the audience area. in the show gleenda called blake because she isnt to active at the class always worrying of the white fang but now she isnt.

"i'll do it" said a student in gray hair raising his hands, "mercury is it? very well lets find you an opponent" said gleenda clicking at her tab? scroll tab? just then mercury interrupted her "actually, i wanna fight... him" i raised my eyebrow at this since i thought he'll choose pyrrha but it looks like im their target now.

if this is the case im more relieved if they set my sight at me than pyrrha, "im afraid mr uzumaki has just finished a match, i'd recommend you to choose another partner" gleenda said to mercury "i accept" i said immediately "are you sure mr uzumaki?" gleenda inquired me "yes i am professor" i smiled.

"very well then" gleenda nodded then mercury made his way towards the arena then he stand infront of me "i heard you use a sword" mercury said to me "and i never heard you introduced yourself to me, im ian uzumaki by the way and im sure you already know that" i said to him smirking.

he smirk too "im mercury black" i raised my eyebrow hearing his full name in the show i never really heard his name or just that i never noticed but hearing his family name is black is familiar to me, "black?" i said "yeah... why?" he ask.

i shook my head and took a fighting position "nothing. that name is familiar to me. enough of that we should start" i said to him he just shrugged like he didnt care and took a fighting position but i can see it in his eyes that his thinking at what i said.

after that we charge at it each other then sent a kick after our kick connected we exchanges kick after kick then i did a low spin kick lifting him of the ground he turned then kick at my head, but i jump back dodging his attack.

we paused for a bit then i initiated the attack i sent high kicks follow up with mid kicks then seeing an opening at his stomach i punch it hitting him making him slide. he patted his stomach and nodded then we walk around for a bit before stopping.

then he initiated the attack he sent axe kick that i blocked and he followed it with mid kick at my stomach then side kick low kick which i block and dodge, while i was dodging i was contemplating at his style which is similar to the person i know who also has the name black.

mercury then jump and sent at double kick at my head which i block by crossing my arms, i patted my arms and look at him "your good, who taught you that?" i ask him "my father" he said nonchalantly i nodded and this answered my question.

"hmm. alright lets end this shall we" i said to him then i concentrated a small chakra at my gloves causing a red glow just like jin kazama. mercury seeing this got serious too but showing a smirk at his face. he ran at me then sent a fast kicks i didnt dodge and block all of it then i parry one of his high kick and punch his stomach and combo it with fast punch in the left rib right rib right hook left hook and finish it with upper cut.

causing him to fly out he landed at his feet but he kneeled coughing a little bit then stand up. seeing that hi didnt fall down despite i didnt use alot of strength at it praised his tenacity to receive my punches. then i charge at him intending to punch his head to knock him out, but he raised both his hands. "i forfeit" he said.

i stopped my fist just inches close at his face, "you'll just stop like that?" i ask him "what's the point? your clearly much stronger than me, we're obviously leagues apart" he said like a matter of fact. i just shrugged "in that case, ian uzumaki is the victor of the match, again" gleenda announced "next time you may want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent" advice mercury "i'll be sure to do that" mercury said before walking out.

"that is all for today. and remember the dance is this weekend, but you all have your first mission on monday. i will not accept any excuses" gleenda said to the students then i walk towards my team. "that was a good match" pyrrha said to me clearly happy "yeah... you break their leg ian" cheered nora.

i chuckled then i look at them seriously "we go to our dorm i need to tell you guys something" i told them they look confused but nodded. then we arrived at our room we sat at the floor while ren making a tea. "so what is it that you want to talk to us that make you look so serious" pyrrha ask.

"its about the mercury the guy who i fought earlier" i started "what about him" ren ask as he handed us the tea i sipped my tea "his an assassin and i suspect his other 2 teammates too are like him" i said to them they we're surprised. "how did you know that he is an assassin?" pyrrha ask.

"its because of his fighting style is similar to the guy who i fought before and that guy also has the name black, and i suspect that mercury i fought today is his son" they nodded at this "then should we tell this to the headmaster and to team rwby" pyrrha said.

i shook my head "not yet and we still dont know what their motives yet and specially we cant tell team rwby because if they knew they might do something stupid" i explained to them "for now if you encounter them act normal, well just observe them for now and we cant tell the headmaster because he might ask how we knew and i still cant tell ozpin about me" they nodded at this then me and pyrrha decided to do some little spar at the balcony.

at cinder group the emerald is sharing her findings at the students that they investigated at cinder. "and finally ian uzumaki" concluded emerald, "what did you found about him?" cinder ask clearly interested at this unknown blond boy "he's strong... when we fought i feel like he can read every move i make... and the way he ask me about my family name he said that its familiar" mercury said frowning.

"do tell" ask interested, "we didnt know about his semblance but he always use different fighting style and weapons at every combat class" emerald responded "interesting, add him to the list and do more digging about him why he reacted at your family name mercury, he might know something" said cinder they nodded "and oh he's in relationship with pyrrha nikos" said emerald.

cinder just hummed at this smirking "you should be able to take him on" said mercury "it's not about overpowering the enemy. its about taking away what power they have. and we will in time" said cinder then mercury sighted "i hate waiting" said mercury in tired voice. "dont worry mercury, we have a fun weekend ahead of us" said cinder
