Food war

It had been 1 week sense the talk Ozpin had with Team ROWBY, they had one more week for it and today was weekend to bad community service was needed always.

As in the kitchen of Team ROWBY was Oscar, he had finished making his food ready to take his dinner to his table then he heard shouting,

Ding!

[Host has gotten + 1 to charisma ]

As he saw Weiss using her body to block the door from Yang, they were yalling at eachother.

Weiss looked at Yang. "Oh hell no, I am not trusting you with the kitchen, it would be ok if you were cooking for your self, but I am not allowing you cook for all of us".

Yang looked at Weiss, as she had narrow eyes. "What is that supposed to mean Ice Queen, move out of the way then".

Weiss just looked at her. "Oh hell no".

Oscar final walked, as he saw Weiss, Yang fighting and Ruby trying to cool them down, Blake was probably in the bathroom when this is happening.

[ Host I know what you are thinking, and yes it is good idea to get involved ]

Oscar just looked at system replying to him, this thing was getting more emotion by the day and he liked it, so he walked up to his team

Oscar looked at Weiss. "Hey what is going on, and Weiss why are you blocking Yang".

Weiss looked at Oscar, the moment she did she had a quick face of iratation in her face, she didn't like him. "Because she is going to cook".

Oscar just looked at her as he spoke. "Your point?".

Weiss looked at him as she spoke. "My point is that, Yang is not trusted in the kitchen".

Oscar raised an eyebrow at that, he thought she would say that about Ruby not Yang, but then Yang shouted a Hay, wondering why Weiss would say something like that to her.

But then they smelled something good, as the three girls looked at Oscar, they looked at the food in his hand, if was something they haven't seen it was clearly Mistrial cooking but they have no idea what it is.

Ruby was the first to speak when she got the smell. "It smells good, where is it coming from".

Yang also smelled it as she looked at Oscar. "Is that your food".

Weiss looked at the food, Oscar cooking was good, very good and they knew it. "What is it called, I wanna taste it".

Oscar looked at the plate of his food. "It is a Katsudon".

Weiss looked at it as she spoke. "Will I never heard of it".

Ruby then spoke, this time with sparkle in her eyes. "Yeah, and I have been to Mistrial many times".

Oscar just scratched the back of his head, his nerves showing. "Will you won't find in store, it is something my auntie makes for me, over time I learned how to make it"

Ruby then looked at as she spoke. "Can we try it".

Oscar said why not, and used the chopsticks to feed it to her, as she loved it he did to Yang as she asked, but it was bit more seductive again she only did this wait him to see how fluster it can make him, he then asked Weiss and after a few seconds she Tryed

They all loved, as then looked at them. "So Weiss, are you willing to allows Yang in".

Weiss gave him a ice cold stare. "No, not at all".

Ruby sighed, decided to take Coco advice on stride. "How about this, if 3 out of the four of us vote, Yang gets to be in the kitchen".

And Ruby, Oscar and Yang did, but Yang didn't count, but then Blake did one for Yang but Weiss was not done.

Oscar just sighed. "Fine, Weiss go with her".

Weiss crossed her arms, glaring daggers at both Yang and Oscar. "Fine, but I'm supervising everything she does. One wrong move and I'm taking over."

Yang smirked, flipping her hair confidently. "Supervise all you want, Ice Queen. I'm about to prove I can handle this just fine."

Ruby chimed in, trying to diffuse the tension. "This is going to be fun! I mean, how bad could it go, right?"

Weiss shot her a look that could freeze fire. "Famous last words, Ruby."

Blake entered the room, holding a book and clearly catching onto the chaos. "What's going on now?"

Ruby grinned sheepishly. "Yang's about to cook for all of us, and Weiss is... supervising."

Blake raised an eyebrow but shrugged. "This I've got to see."

In the Kitchen

Weiss stood with a notepad in hand, meticulously documenting Yang's every move. "You're holding the knife wrong. Adjust your grip."

Yang groaned, slicing vegetables with exaggerated motions. "Weiss, it's fine. Stop micromanaging me."

Oscar leaned against the counter, watching the exchange with an amused expression. Ruby, meanwhile, was sneaking bites of leftover Katsudon, trying to avoid Weiss's hawk-like gaze.

"Ruby, stop that!" Weiss snapped, not even looking up from her notes.

Ruby froze, chopsticks halfway to her mouth. "How do you even do that?"

Weiss ignored her and turned her attention back to Yang. "You're overcooking that, Yang."

Yang sighed, her patience thinning. "Weiss, if you think you can do better, why don't you just cook yourself?"

Before Weiss could retort, Oscar stepped in, holding up his hands. "Alright, alright, let's not turn this into a food war."

Ruby tilted her head. "Food war? That sounds kinda fun!"

Blake, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. "Maybe a little competition wouldn't hurt. Yang can cook, Weiss can cook, and we'll see who does it better."

Weiss smirked confidently. "Fine by me. It's about time I showed everyone what real culinary skill looks like."

Yang grinned, her competitive spirit ignited. "You're on, Ice Queen."

Oscar sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "This isn't what I meant…"

Weiss looked at Yang as she pulled out her ingredients, and so did Yang, somehow both girls were pancakes a good breakfast food.

Meanwhile in the Kitchen, Ruby, Blake, and Oscar was waiting this could be so bad, but one rule was given by Oscar to much batter used both are out and Oscar is stepping in

And will in the Kitchen Weiss and Yang were steering there pancakes looking at Eachother with glares, as Yang moved her a bit too fast, as Weiss looked at her and scooped

"You even don't know how to do this right".

Yang looked at back at Weiss and her commenry. "i need no words from a pampered princess".

Weiss looked at her as she corrected her. "Heiress, remember that fire cracker". She with clear annoyance as she kept stirring her pancakes, as then she got a bit of Batter on her and it was not her. "Hey watch it"

Yang just looked at her with a smirk. "Oh what is the problem Miss Heiress".

Weiss noticed the mocking nature in how Yang said, as she "Accidentally" sent some of the own better to Yang hair, as she looked at her. "Oh sorry".

Yang seeing it, got a bit angry and once again did it, and will let's say it continue for a bit longer and they were then tripling Eachother, making Eachother fall a bit and the kitchen it was becoming a mess more and more, then they started to argue with Eachother, like Cats and Dog, or will more of a Rabbit and a bear.

Thing we're sent flying, batter was on there face and will they were ready to through hand, then they heard a Gun shot, they it was Oscar holding his smoking gun, as it was pointed up with his was Ruby, Blake sat this one out, as for Oscar he has a face that said, Not again

Oscar sighed deeply, his gun still raised to get their attention. "Alright, that's enough! This is a kitchen, not a wrestling ring."

Ruby stepped forward, hands on her hips, trying to look authoritative despite the amused grin tugging at her lips. "Seriously, you two. You've turned this into some kind of pancake warzone!"

Weiss and Yang froze mid-motion, both covered in batter, with equal parts indignation and embarrassment plastered on their faces. Yang had some batter dripping from her hair, while Weiss had a glob of it on her cheek.

Weiss crossed her arms, glaring at Yang. "This is entirely her fault! She started flinging batter everywhere like a child!"

Yang rolled her eyes, wiping some batter off her nose. "Oh, come on! You're the one who escalated things, Heiress."

Oscar pinched the bridge of his nose and set his gun aside. "It doesn't matter who started it. Look at this place!" He gestured at the kitchen, which was now an absolute disaster. Batter was splattered across the counters, the stove, and even the ceiling.

Ruby picked up a spoon from the floor, eyeing the mess with a wince. "Uh, yeah… I think you two owe the kitchen an apology. And by apology, I mean you're cleaning this up."

Blake finally spoke from the sidelines, her voice dry. "I'd suggest getting started before the batter hardens. It'll be even harder to clean."

Oscar then went to Weiss, be took a napkin and then put on water, helping her clean her hair, Yang was a bit more touching with her hair, so Oscar didn't do it, he didn't want to get punch out the wall, even do in his theory he may e gets defense pointed for that, he rather not test it.

Oscar was cleaning Weiss hair and helping her out, as it made her blush a bit both from what was happening and the intimate way it was happening to her, it didn't help she was basically told to clean by a 14 year old.

Ruby them looked at one of the batter and took from, it was a Weiss. "Huh taste good actually".

Oscar did it as well, as he was a bit supires. "Yeah it does, your a good cook Weiss, or you would be if you worked will".

Weiss shot him a glance not happy with the backhanded compliment. "Hey what is that supposed to mean".

At this poined she had cleaned hee selp up, as then Oscar went to Yang ana tasted it as she spoke. "Huh this one has ginger, not a bad touch, it is good my aunt always added them"

Yang walked back I fully cleaned, not wearing more a casual outfits, will it was tank top and shorts, that was it. "Um yeah thanks Oscar".

Ruby them looker at Yang batter, as she took a bit of it ready to taste and she regreated as she touched ehe mouth. "Ah so much Genger kill me"

She ran to the kitchen sink and she took a lot fo water, Oscar was bit confused so Yang tried and she got a same reaction. Blake then went and check it and she found two different Ginger bottles, one was names Vale Ginger and the other one was names Mistral Ginger.

Blake then spoke, looking at Yang as she cleaned her mouth. "Um Yang which one did you use"

Yang then spoke, as she finally got the taste our of her mouth. "The one on the left, why?"

Oscar then looked at he spoke. "I see you used Mistrial Ginher, no wonder have problems with it"

Ruby them spoke, as her mouth was still being cleaned. "How are you not effected by it"

Oscar raised and every brow at that as he spoke. "I am from Mistrial, that is why".

Weiss, now fully cleaned up and feeling slightly more composed, smirked at Yang, who was still recovering from the overpowering ginger taste. "Perhaps you should have been more careful with your ingredients, Yang. Cooking requires precision and a certain level of sophistication."

Yang glared at her, still wiping her tongue with a paper towel. "Oh, give me a break, Ice Queen. It was one mistake!"

Oscar chuckled lightly at their exchange, shaking his head. "To be fair, Mistral ginger is way stronger than Vale ginger. It's not something most people outside of Mistral would know how to use properly."

Ruby, still sipping water from the sink, groaned. "Yeah, well, next time can we not poison the team with ginger bombs?"

Blake inspected the bottles again, her curiosity piqued. "It's interesting, though. Ingredients from different kingdoms really can vary so much. Maybe we should start labeling them better to avoid... incidents like this."

Yang, now fully recovered, leaned on the counter, a sheepish grin on her face. "Okay, fine. Lesson learned. Next time, I'll double-check the labels. Happy now?"

Weiss huffed, crossing her arms. "I'll consider it a start."

Oscar, ever the peacemaker, clapped his hands together. "Alright, truce, everyone. Let's get this place cleaned up, and then maybe we can all work on improving our cooking skills together. Deal?"

Ruby perked up at the idea, her silver eyes sparkling. "Ooh, like a cooking team bonding session? That sounds fun!"

Blake nodded thoughtfully. "It could help us all understand each other's strengths and weaknesses better. Plus, it might prevent future kitchen disasters."

Yang sighed dramatically but smiled. "Fine, but only if Weiss promises not to micromanage me."

Weiss raised an eyebrow, looking at Yang with a pointed glare. "And you promise not to treat the kitchen like a battlefield."

Oscar smiled, feeling a sense of relief as the tension began to dissipate. "Great. Now, let's finish cleaning up before the batter dries. Team ROWBY can survive anything—except, apparently, kitchen chaos."

As they all got to work cleaning the mess, Oscar couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. It wasn't much, but moments like these reminded him why he valued his team, quirks and all.

Once the kitchen chaos was dealt with, Oscar took matters into his own hands, declaring with an exasperated sigh, "Alright, that's it. None of you are stepping foot in this kitchen ever again—at least not for cooking."

Ruby tried to protest, raising her hand. "But Oscar, I—"

Oscar shot her a look, cutting her off. "Not even you, Ruby. This is non-negotiable."

Yang snickered. "I mean, fair. I wouldn't trust Weiss with a spatula either."

Weiss turned sharply to Yang, her icy glare piercing. "Excuse me? I wasn't the one who turned breakfast into a ginger grenade!"

Blake, ever the voice of reason, stepped between them. "Let it go, Weiss. Let it go."

Deciding to salvage the situation, Oscar worked his magic in the kitchen, whipping up a batch of pancakes for everyone. Each plate had a special twist:

Ruby's pancakes were dyed a vibrant red.

Yang's were a sunny yellow.

Blake's pancakes were a sleek black.

Weiss's were an elegant white.

For himself, Oscar made his signature green pancakes.

As he brought the plates to the table, everyone stared in awe at the colorful display.

Ruby's eyes sparkled. "Whoa, Oscar! This looks amazing!"

Yang grinned as she picked up her fork. "Alright, I'll admit, you're the kitchen king. This looks awesome."

Weiss, for once, refrained from criticism, delicately cutting into her pancake. "I suppose this will do."

Blake smiled softly, appreciating the gesture. "Thank you, Oscar. This was thoughtful."

Ding!

[Host has gotten +1 to team synergy.]

Oscar smiled at the notification as he watched his team enjoy the meal. Despite the chaos earlier, moments like these made it all worth it. "Glad you all like it. Just remember—next time you want pancakes, let me handle it."

Ruby, with a mouthful of pancake, gave him a thumbs up. "Deal!"

Yang laughed. "Fine by me. Just don't expect me to give up my crown as the queen of snacks."

Weiss sighed, a hint of a smile tugging at her lips. "As long as I don't have to clean up another mess, I'll agree to anything."

Oscar chuckled, shaking his head. "Deal. Now, let's just enjoy breakfast before anyone else decides to start another food war."

Ruby then looker at Oscar. "Hey Oscar, you use both a Sword and a Gun right".

Oscar looked at her an raised and eyebrow, as he spoke. "Yeah, Midnight Fan and Crimson trigger".

Ruby them spoke as she noded. "Yeah your sword and gun, why did you make two different weapon and not a fusion".

Oscar spit out his drink, this question he hand no answer for, he looker at the system going to his skill tree in rapid looked and found a skill [Loki's Lie], said fuck and unlocked it.

He then looked at his team, ready to lie out of his ass, this skill probably makes his lie's more convincin, but he had no idea.

Oscar just looked at Ruby as she spoke. "Both of my weapon are complicatedly made, Crimson triggere is a kinda a shot gun, and Midnight fang is a Sword, both are also able to enhanced it, so yeah I have been trying to figure out how to fuse them, or combined then to make one weapon, I pretty sure I will call is Midnight trigger or something".

Ruby's eyes widened with curiosity as she leaned closer to Oscar. "Whoa, that's so cool! A shotgun and a sword combo? That's like... peak badassery! But wait, you haven't figured out how to fuse them yet?"

Oscar, having just activated [Loki's Lie], kept his composure despite the sudden pressure. He gave a sheepish chuckle. "Well, you know, it's not as simple as just slapping them together. Crimson Trigger and Midnight Fang were designed with completely different mechanics and purposes. Trying to merge them without losing their individual functionality is... tricky, to say the least."

Ruby nodded, her expression one of pure fascination. "That makes sense, I guess. But you're, like, halfway there, right? I mean, you already have two awesome weapons. All you need is the right inspiration or blueprints, and boom—ultimate weapon!"

Oscar scratched the back of his head, pretending to think deeply. "Yeah, I've been toying with some ideas. Maybe call it Midnight Trigger or Crimson Fang? Still working on the name."

Yang smirked from her seat, crossing her arms. "So, basically, you're stuck. Just say it, farm boy."

Oscar shot her a playful glare. "I'm not stuck—just taking my time. Big projects like this require patience."

Weiss chimed in, sipping her tea. "At least he's taking it seriously, unlike someone I know who names their weapons after puns."

Yang gasped dramatically, feigning offense. "Excuse me, Weiss? Ember Celica is a masterpiece! Don't be jealous because your weapon isn't as flashy."

Ruby interrupted before another argument could spark. "Alright, alright, back to Oscar! Hey, maybe I could help! I've built Crescent Rose, and I'm awesome at weapon design."

Oscar smiled, the skill seemingly working to make his words more convincing. "I appreciate it, Ruby, but I think I need to figure this out on my own first. You know, personal growth and all that."

Ruby pouted but nodded in understanding. "Fine, but if you ever need help, just ask! Crescent Rose is always open for a playdate."

As Ruby went back to her food, Oscar sighed internally, grateful that the lie held.

Ding!

[Host has successfully used Loki's Lie for the first time. +1 to charisma. +1 to deception.]

Oscar mentally sighed. At least the system's on my side for this one.
