After a few classes, we finally reach the 5 pm mark as we finally Self-Directed Sparring with our combat instructor Glynda Goodwitch.
My favorite class, I might add.
Waiting for the chance I got to see how the people fight with each other from different points of view of their fighting styles as I see some of them are high levels.

Creating a small shockwave from the two students in the middle of the arena was one kid with a sword literally on fire on the other end a girl using a spear to hold her ground coated in Lightning Dust.
They clashed with each other a few times to get a feel for one another as I see through their fighting styles making this match a bit more closely than one would appear to me but I kept my eye on the aura scree.
Fire sword boy is going to lose with his aura level on the yellow and the girl just a bit higher than him in the green he was panting as he spoke out, "No way I'm losing this! This victory is for Team FLRE!"
Scoffing at this the girl with a spear spoke out as she twirls it around readying to end it in one more strike as she spoke, "Yeah right Vale boy. My win is for Team SHCK. Watch and flail like the disgusting male you are!"

The fire sword guy looks offended as he scoffs at this proudly remarking himself making me want to hurl, "Tch. Yeah, right tits for brains but I'm more a guy lover than a girl lover. I'm an ass man no shame in that."

Even the crowds in here had mixed reactions as Glynda looks like she was about to snap but finally, they finished this as they rushed towards each other suddenly Karen suddenly zoomed ahead as she beat the boy with the fire sword.

Listening in to Glynda's words at the wonderful sounds as she voices out keeping a calm tone in her voice, "Victor is first-year Karen Shocker from Mistral and please you both keep your own comments to yourselves. And Astia Fire be more considerate of what you say. Sigh…"
I feel her pain in this.
As things stood it took us a while viewing the fights as Glynda began to speak she finally spoke out about the next fight for the night, "And finally for the last ones for the night. Would anyone like to try before we call it a night?"
Raising my hand up immediately Glynda looked at me keeping a calm demeanor as she spoke to me, "Mister Nights. Very well then would you like the choice to fight against someone here or by random?"
Taking the choice I wanted to fight I picked out as I got down to the arena at the center, "Yeah. I want to challenge Neptune Vasilias from Mistral Academy."
"Huh?"
A noticeable huh sound was made as Neptune himself was picked as the students of Mistral had been coming over by seas in the last few weeks he got himself up with a smirk on his face and got his weapon, "Ok dude. But don't blame me for kicking your butt but do make sure to keep this gorgeous face intact. After all, this would be a shame for the ladies."

Taking a turn I see some blushes from the female students as Neptune smirks at them as I see even Weiss blush at this.
Rolling my eyes as I already played the simulation of fighting Neptune multiple times under my <Image Training> this kind of pisses me off.
I mean this guy has the balls to say that to his so-called, fans to a guy with no girls.
This guy doesn't respect the bro code at all.
And this is going to make a whole lot sweeter what's about to happen next.

Ok, the conditions are still the same I made sure to pay attention as Neptune takes out his Tri-Hard yes ironically called this as he spoke to me, "So… where's you're weapon dude? I mean are you really fighting me with your fists?"

Using <Deep Pockets> I began to take out one of the White Fang grunts swords I stole from the Black and White episode as I spoke out, "No worries man. I'm a literal walking inventory but also… I want a challenge."
As I took out my sword, I also took out some water guns Neptune froze on the spot seeing me carrying literal toy water guns from a kid toy store as Glynda and the whole student body looked at me confused.
I managed to have some Water Dust (Low) in my <Deep Pockets> in case these don't work.
I'm prepared enough to face off against the Water Boy today lol.
Some even laughed at me for carrying a toy weapon filled with glorious H2O water as Neptune tries to remain calm despite being stiff right now trying to make me back off, "Hey… Jack, right? Don't you know that I'm a Vasilias right? I mean having water against me is pretty dumb against a guy that can control water Semblance, right... right..."
My smirk still present didn't make Neptune any better as I gave a bullshit excuse to use it in front of him, "Sure. But I want to see if my enemy has an advantage as well as how I adapt to the situation at hand. So, give me a challenge."
Hearing the situation not going in Neptune's favor Glynda began to see what was going on as she continues to be speaking, the rules, "As per the rules once your opponent reaches 10% - 25% of their aura you are the winner. Anything goes so long as you win. Remember in life there is no such thing as a fair fight as your future enemies won't give you the chance. And now…. BEGIN!"

Hearing the beeping sound the first thing I did was aim my water guns at Neptune as his eyes dilated as I enhance the weapon coating it with my Aura as I talked to him, "Now I hope you give me a challenge Neptune. Now my special attack! Splash!"

Each shot that was filled with water was aimed at Neptune as he froze on the spot as began to run away like a coward with an honest surprise on my end to keep up the act, "AHHH! WATER!!! GET THAT AWAY FROM ME!! AHHHH!!!"
Stopping myself at this I honestly froze as the cool-headed Neptune ran away from the small puddles of water going near him as he ran like a hoard of Grimm was after him.
I was like what the hell did I witness written on my face?
I mean I knew this was happening but I was still like WTF did I witness in real life?
But otherwise, Splash was super effective.
Had to keep up the act as everyone including the girls saw this with frozen expressions on their faces Weiss turned stiff seeing this. But I was focusing on Neptune as I was the first of many to confirm something for the student body, "Uh…. Dude… Are you actually in fact afraid of water or something?"
Neptune froze at this as everyone just saw his weakness Sun was glaring at me from the stands as I held up my hands in defense replying to him, "Sun how the hell was I supposed to know this guy was afraid of water? Isn't his family supposed to be good at water control I was honestly looking for a challenge!"
I could literally hear Sun sigh at this as the whole entire student body froze hearing the words Neptune embarrassed at this spoke, "Uh… Miss Goodwitch can I surrender so I can recover what little pride I have left now…? Because I really don't want to fight him using water… please…."
Glynda pinched her nose bridge and begrudgery accepted as she scolded Neptune and me about the whole thing, "Sigh… very well. The winner is Jack Nights. Neptune, I would suggest you work on controlling your semblance and conquering your fear of water. Jack, I don't know if you were extremely overconfident or lucky but be sure to be properly prepared and not bring Water Guns bought from the Vale Toys Store."
I had enough shame to blush embarrassed by that.
Wasn't like I was very proficient in guns before this was a first for me.
At least till now, that is…

Hmm…
I wonder if I can raise my <Gun Mastery> by transforming it into a shift weapon would that raise its power or not?
Now that's an interesting idea to try out and… I need a new weapon soon since I have been busy with holding it for a while time to get me an upgrade also, I have been using my training to get some items.
Should be about time I start focusing on getting stats again.
