Chapter 30: The First Step (4)

Chapter 30: The First Step (4)

~Jack POV~

Seeing that Pyrrha took my hand and we were done shaking I saw Weiss bitterly smile at this as a though occurred to me.

How about I Joseph Joestar trick her.

Deciding to play around with her I spoke out what I recalled in her thoughts in a lecturing manner, "Now Weiss being greedy in classroom drama is a bit of a bore don't you think? I mean your expression already said it all with 'This will be perfect! The smartest girl in class combined with the strongest girl in class! Together we will be unstoppable! I can see it now! We'll be popular! We'll be celebrities! We'll get perfect grades! Nothing can come between us now!' kind of attitude hmm?"

Now Weiss looked a bit shocked as she probably thought I read her mind as Pyrrha laughs at our interactions before she spoke, I replied first, "And no I don't read people's minds miss Schnee I'm just a good guesser. Though having Telepathy would be a kick ass Semblance to have."

Clearing her head, a bit she tried to use this moment to make me digress of having Pyrrha as an ally as she spoke speaking down to me as I was genuinely ignorant with all my answers being silent much to her dismay with Pyrrha knowing the reason why, "Jack, is it? Do you have any idea who you're talking to?"

Oh and this my dear friends where we begin a scrum debate.

I've seen my fair share of Danganronpa V3 to where this is going.

I might enjoy this play of back and forth.

Challenge accepted Schnee!

"Nope not at all."

"She graduated top of her class at Sanctum..."

"Oh cool."

"Won the Mistral Regional Tournaments four years in a row..."

"Oh, that sounds nice."

"This is Pyrrha."

"Huh? No kidding."

"She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes box!"

"Wow! Having her name in a box sounds cool! But I never ate that brand plus the reviews says it's bad."

*Gasp*

Weiss gasped at this as I easily countered her words of discouragement with simple nonchalant or don't give a fuck response.

If I wanted to be annoyed by a Karen I would've stayed back in Earth.

Weiss clearly getting annoyed how I didn't care about her response thus far still tried, "So, after hearing all of this, do you really think you're in a position to ask her to be on your team?"

Pausing a bit, I merely shrugged at this not carrying much as I decided to give the girl her humble opinion, "Hmm… not sure. I'll let Pyrrha decide on that but if she did then I think we make good friends. And also, on a side not are those cereals good or not? Haven't tried one before?"

"You… you are kidding right…?"

Weiss was left stun how I didn't care as my focus was more on the breakfast cereal as Pyrrha replied to me, "Oh my. It seems you being reckless is true Jack. I have to admit though me neither the cereal it isn't very healthy."

Sighing out loud at that in defeat I asked Pyrrha another question about important breakfast flakes, "Really? In that case know any good brands that are healthy?"

"Hahah…"

Pyrrha was laughing a bit as I smiled seeing that the whole conversation was changed into topics of breakfast.

I kept on ignoring Weiss till I finally sigh glancing at the distance much to her dismay as I spoke to Pyrrha directly asking to be on her team, "Hmm. Say Pyrrha when teams begin to merge would you mind, I be on your team? I would rather the girl herself speak about what she says rather than her peers speak for her. Of course, if you wouldn't mind Pyrrha."

That was when Pyrrha with a thoughtful expression began to speak to me much to Wiess's horror on her face, "Well I suppose I don't mind. If the chance does happen of course it would be good to have a good ally like yourself onboard. But that depends where the chips fly of course."

Nodding at this I agreed…

Depending that I would let the chips decided my fate.

With that I heard the sounds of the announcement playing on the intercom system as we all heard Glynda's voice, "Would all first-year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Again, all first-year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately as the Bullhead is coming to the site."

Taking that as the sign that we all have to leave to the destination, "Well looks like it's about to start let's get going already."

With that, everyone in the locker room got already started their initiation as for my part am nervous about how things will go.

But all I need to do is specifically avoid the parts of the deadly Grimm by having Ruby and Weiss come along with Pyrrha and me to have the least amount of danger we bring to ourselves.

Hopefully, my amount of LUCK will help me out.

If not boost whatever stats the situation called for.

I'm glad I had the time to grind for my stats for the time being or rather train my skills in the progress.

I used my time wisely of what I could do and use the best of what I thought at the time to be more important.

And I choose my items from daily rewards and skills more important than leveling up since what I needed is to polish them to the best of my abilities.

Polish I did.

As for the remaining stats I had I began to raise them on some stats that I thought needed to be carefully observed to level up during this test.

And speaking about stats.

Status.

I have spent the majority of my time to increase my stats as much as I could before the end game was approaching me as I needed to rely more on my skills in the end polishing them to be useable.

I focused more on my physical aspects as much as I needed to hopefully survive this test.

And getting items from the Daily Rewards was also good as I have few Healing Potion and Aura Potions (Low) on the standby in case everything goes haywire from here.

Hopefully everything I have done up to this point won't be a waste.

And in a event I do use up my items I had enough foresight to get this ready.

[Please choose the following rewards:

-Reward #1: Status Recovery

-Reward #2: Stat Points +3

-Reward #3: Random Item Box]

Yes, my Daily Quest at the ready to either get a Stat points, quick recovery, or item.

Depending on the situation of how this test will go and my canon knowledge diverging from what I know it's best to have a backup plan on something like this to fall back on if things goes south.

Going around where everyone else is heading towards the entrance gate of the Bullhead ride as every other Beacon Student brandish there weapons.

All warriors in their own justifiable right to be able have a chance to stand with everyone here but for me?

Turning my head to face the entrance of the Bullhead with uncertainty in my future.

I used to be a normal guy that was one day sent here in Remnant or RWBY how you say and have expected things to come only for the opposite or unusual to have occurred.

And yet I stand here today.

Wither I fail or succeed doesn't matter in the end.

But if I fail plot of RWBY will be derailed by a lot.

However, in the end of the day it really doesn't matter because me existing already destroyed a self-preconceived motion about the whole path there is.

Since I'm in for the long haul of this better to get this over with.

It was time for [The Gamer] to do what they do best at?

Time to Game on.
