~Third POV~

Elsewhere in the Solitas continent a truck drives along a long, straight road in the middle of the tundra with Ruby speaking out loud after being graduated as Huntresses along with her friends and few months training, "Not that I'm bored, but why can't we just use an airship to take these supplies to Amity?"

Ruby and Penny Polendina are sitting in the front seat, while an AK-200 drives. Ruby stares ahead sleepily as Penny speaks out, "The components for Amity Tower's construction are far too heavy. All that weight would require precious Dust we should be saving for the launch itself. And the Grimm that will come after."

Ruby begins to come closer to nodding off to sleep in a tired voice, "It just makes for long... very long... supply runs."

Penny smiles and looks out the window. In the distance, a pair of penguins watch the truck, squawking as she spoke out happily, "At least the tundra is scenic."

Ruby begins falling asleep, soon leaning over to Penny's shoulder as she spoke out in an unimpressed tone, "Totally."

"Ruby!"

Ruby is startled awake from Penny's own voice as she happily talks to her, "I just wanted to say how excited I am to be working with you in a professional capacity. As friends!"

Penny grins excitedly just as Ruby laughs with her friend, "Me too, Penny."

Like that the two began to talk to each other about their lifestyle along with Qrow and Clover playing their card game in the back seats of the truck.

Ruby gives a thumbs up. In the back, Qrow is playing a card game with Clover Ebi, who sets several cards down on the supply crate they are using as a table as the two guys talk about their presence being important bringing others inspiration.

While enjoying their ride Qrow and Clover get up and head to the front of the truck with Qrow speaking out, "What's going on? Grimm?"

Clover began to respond in a serious tone already realizing what's going on right away, "No. Worse. You two with me. Penny, stay put and keep an eye on our six. We may need an element of surprise."

P. Penny nodded in understanding already agreeing right away, "Affirmative. I will plan for six possible outcomes.

The three look at Penny, who smiles confidently as Robyn Hill and Fiona Thyme are standing in the middle of the road in front of a sheet metal barricade built in front of a small canyon as Robyn speaks out, "Alright ladies, time to show them our teeth."

The truck comes to a stop, and Clover, Ruby and Qrow exit out with the Ace Ops responding to Robyn attempt to block them, "Robyn! Well, if it isn't Mantle's hometown hero. Is there a reason you're blocking an official military transport?"

Robyn merely acted innocent responding to Clovers words in a halfhearted manner, "Clover, I'm so glad you're here. Maybe you can help me understand why this truck that's supposed to be taking construction materials to fix Mantle's outer wall, is on its way to the middle of nowhere? Are you lost?"

Clover laughs at her response trying to dissuade this point of conversation as per his mission to keep secret, "It's pretty easy to get turned around out here in the tundra, everything looks the same. Thanks for checking up on us though. We'll be on our way now."

Clover starts to walk away just as Robyn sighs hoping for him to be honest with her, "I was hoping you'd play it straight with me. What's Ironwood doing with Amity at the old SDC mine?"

Clover stops and turns back to Robyn giving her a lie, "Oh, that. Just giving her an annual checkup."

Robyn not believing his words not for a second backhandedly responds to Clover's lie calling it out, "The next Vytal Festival isn't anytime soon. Only automated drones and a few select Atlas scientists are allowed out here. And Amity's getting invaluable resources we need in Mantle to protect against Grimm. Seems like more than just a check-up."

Clover shrugs at this crossing his arms noticing a fact Robyn was spying on Amity, "You've been scoping it out."

Robyn being more determined to help Mantle and wanting to figure out more what's going on around with Atlas attempts on repairing it, "We can't fix the wall without the supplies on these trucks. I think Mantle deserves to know what they're being used for. It doesn't have to be difficult. Just tell me."

Robyn walks forward and extends her hand with a smile, but Clover denies it shaking his head in denial, "I'm going to have to pass on that."

She frowns, then smiles again as she turns her attention to Ruby and Qrow trying to get some info from them instead, "How 'bout you, pipsqueak? Five o' clock shadow? Either of you want to tell me why Mantle's being put at risk for Ironwood's pet project?"

Ruby responds trying to explain their reasoning for their purpose, "We're trying to help Mantle. We need—"

But that was as far as Ruby could say as Clover told her to be quite interrupting her by responding to Robyn, "That's enough Robyn. As a potential Councilwoman, you should probably focus on the election instead of harassing Huntsmen. Now, it's time to let us pass."

Robyn merely narrows her eyes at him but responded in an determined tone challenging them almost, "I think you've misjudged the situation. One way or another, these supplies are going to get where they're supposed to go—Mantle."

Clover merely smiles at this trying to be civil about the whole situation unfolding, "Then I suggest you do that through the proper legal channels as a Councilwoman. If you get elected."

Robyn smiles as this made Clover tenses his hand, and Ruby and Qrow put their hands on their weapons….

*Woosh*

Suddenly, Penny flies out from the back of the truck and lands on top of it, her swords levitating around her talking to Robyn, "Robyn Hill. I would like to politely ask that you call off the Huntresses approaching the rear of the truck."

Clover, Qrow and Ruby look back at what appears to be absolutely nothing behind the truck just as Robyn laughs being caught red handed, "Alright. Joanna, May!"

Two people fade into view behind the truck with Robyn looking up at Penny questioningly, "The Protector of Mantle, huh?"

Everyone remains tense for a moment, ready for a fight. Robyn sighs, and Fiona opens the gate on the barricade. Penny comes down from the truck, and she, Ruby, Qrow and Clover start walking to enter the truck.

They enter the truck and drive through the canyon but Clover stops and looks back speaking to Robyn in a friendly manner, "Good luck at the election."

Robyn's Happy Huntresses gather around her as she watches the truck drive away as Fiona talked to Robyn lost what to do next, "What now?"

Robyn merely narrows her eyes at the direction of Amity where the truck is heading towards responding to her partners, "I want to know why Amity Colosseum is suddenly so important. Whatever it takes."

~Jack POV~

"I can't believe you did that…!"

"Talk about drastic measures Jack."

"Couldn't stand one day without pissing off an authoritative figure can't you?"

Shrugging from Penny, Pyrrha, and Ruby's responses I replied to them in an uncaring tone considering our situation, "Meh. Not the worst thing I did but figured we get through the political issue right away. After all they dug their own graves not getting people what they want to reconnect to Remnant."

They sigh at my responds as I play around with my Scroll talking to them a point why we need to hurry along and fixing it, "Also the sooner we fix the CCT here the sooner we could reconnect Remnant right? Plus, I'm not taking chances of these old farts playing with people's lives. Although I'm not sure if any of them are in Salem's pockets feeding her information needed. Never know we could have a Lionheart situation."

Listening to my reasoning why I proceeded to go ahead and do this method they understood what I meant.

Since Salem have won in this Remnant during the Fall of Beacon who's to say those in power are truly people that we could trust?

Especially those within the Vale Council Members could already be in a pact with Salem's group with the promise of they could survive by listening to her words.

With my <Observe> skill kind of shut down a bit since I'm in a new world it doesn't mean I can find out the old fashion way?

Two things I happen to frequently do well at surprisingly enough.

With them understanding me Pyrrha was counting her fingers while I raised an eyebrow at her asking, her in a curious tone, "Say Pyrrha why are you counting your fingers for?"

Hearing my voice Pyrrha merely replied back with a shrug and expecting look on her face as she talked to me, "I'm just wondering when how long it is going to be for Glynda to come out and try to threaten you again. And that's honestly concerning with how many times you get in trouble with her on a daily basis. Should I keep a tally score?"

About what I did earlier?

Nah.

I mean I'm doing her a favor as I arrogantly responded back to Pyrrha with a raised eyebrow at my words, "Nah. I mean I did it in the name of helping people if anything she would be thanking me. I mean reconnecting Remnant again fixing the CCT would be easy for me."

Ruby and Penny both gave me blank expression on their faces when they listened to my words.

It's not every day I mess with Glynda consequently and I don't do it on purpose either it just happens.

Shrugging –

*THUD*

Slamming open the door immediately prepared for the worst with everyone soon getting their weapons pointed out we all stop to see Glynda come out with her eyes twitching but remained calm before speaking, "Deep breaths Glynda… you took care of Team RWBY bullshit with Ozpin giving them free actions… you can deal with ONE annoying teenager. Now then… Jack care to explain that stunt you pulled…?"

Crying dramatically at this Glynda composes herself before glare at me soften speaking out with a smile on her face, "Well then mister Nights. You just got what you asked for. You and the girls are coming with me along with a select few Huntsman to reclaim Beacon Academy and fix the CCT by tomorrow morning. I hope you got the adventure you four asked for."

Welp.

Guess we got work ahead of ourselves huh?

No time like tomorrow to save the day.
