Chapter 2: Tutorial

~Jack POV~

Darkness was what I only saw as I see myself falling down some kind of void of sorts as I fall down.

Not with my body mind you but instead with my soul.

*Tap*

That was when I tapped down on a glass floor with my soul forming into my normal body as I see the glass window floor take the shape of a shattered moon as I don't get my meaning why I'm here.

Still though I get the feeling that I died when I came here.

Just a gut feeling for sure though.

Although what happened next, I began to hear voices outside my head almost sounds feminine when I heard it.

'So little time… take your time…'

'Don't be afraid.'

'The door is still shut to a new path you must discard the old.'

'Now step forward. Can you do it?'

As I began to step on the window floor, I began to observe the area a bit more as I walk forward in the middle then the unbelievable happened.

*Shiii*

Three pillars soon appeared before me as they shined with light that in each of them have a different item attached to them.

'Power sleeps within you.'

'If you give it form… it will give you strength.'

Going towards one of them I took on one of them from the alter was a sword.

'The power of the warrior. Invincible courage. A sword of terrible destruction.'

*Shiii*

It was absorbed into me as I'm having some Kingdom Hearts vibes from this, but I ignore the feeling at the moment.

I began to go towards the next one.

At the next alter I went towards the one near the sword that took the form of a shield and what followed next was absorbed into my soul.

'The power of the Guardian. Kindness to aid friends. A shield to repel all.'

And finally, going towards the last one I got a magic wand but…

'The power of the mystic. Inner strength. A staff of wonder and ruin.'

*Crack*

Suddenly the glass window below me broke apart as I began to fall further down the darkness as I began to dive down as the wand I had was no longer with me as I held my sword and shield together.

Shame I didn't get my wand but guess I have to make due.

Hopefully that won't cost me my MP bar…

I just jinx it didn't I?

The further I did so the more I saw a ever growing picture coming towards me.

When I got a clear view of it I saw this one had gears on the window glass floor as I began to land down safely as I got a feel from the area.

*Shiii*

Suddenly I find myself holding the same weapons I got before with a shield on left, holding my sword on my right, and the staff on my back as I hear the voice again.

'You've gained the power to fight.'

Holding the sword, I began to move it around as well as use my want to switch to my shield as it took on a shining hue as I kept my guard up.

That was when I heard the disembody voice once more again.

'All right! You've got it!'

'Use this power to protect yourself and others.'

"Roar…"

My senses were up as I heard a loud growl of sorts in the area as I prepare my sword and shield in hand as I see… Grimm?

What the hell are Grimm doing here from RWBY?

Actually what is exactly happening to me…

To answer my questions the voice responded to me in not the one's I wanted answered.

'There will be times you have to fight. Keep your spirit burning strong.'

"Roar!"

*Clang*

They rushed towards me as I prepare myself as I began to move around carefully as a Beowolf tried to attack me as I blocked with a shield and ready my sword as I made the attempt to stab it through the head.

I missed.

It moved backed but I didn't let it as I used the momentum of my soul or body to propel myself gaining enough speed from the ground as I twirl my hand to get the sword as I made a spinning motion flying cutting the Grimm up.

*Boom*

*Swoosh*

I see something is up but…

'First tell me more about yourself.'

'What's more important for you?'

Hearing that question I thought a bit more on this taking this situation seriously but if I had to choose…

"Friendship. There is only one man can do so much but with other friends' miracles could happen than one person is capable of by themselves."

'Is Friendship such a big deal?'

'What do you want outta life?'

Hmm…

That question has many meanings to go about this but if I had to choose…

"To be strong. Strength is what matters to most as you can do what you can without the worry of others ever threatening you."

'To be strong huh?'

'What are you afraid of?'

What I'm afraid of now that's a question that has many but to not so many answers at the same time.

How does one define their own fears I guess.

But if I have to say what I'm truly afraid of the most then…

"Being indecisive. I would hate to make a important decision not knowing an alternative or fuck up a person life because of my actions."

'Being indecisive? Is it really that scary?'

'You want friendship.'

'You want to be strong.'

'You're afraid of being indecisive.'

'….'

'You're adventure begins in the dead of night.'

'Your road won't be easy, but a rising sun awaits your journey's end.'

Well, ain't that foreboding but sure.

At least from the sounds of things I might get my happy ending assuming I work hard enough for it.

'The day you will reach it is both far off and very near.'

*Shiii*

Next ahead of me is a staircase filled with glass platforms as I began to just go along the ride of this magic filled path.

At least that's what I'm supposed to do right but when I did I see that the path surrounding me seems something out of that trailer I saw from RWBY and crew being in Candy Land or Wonderland version.

At least from what I can safely judge in the area as far as I can see clearly.

The more I follow towards the next glass floor as I entered the black void returned again as I see the glass window floor more clearly this time with a castle with a girl stuck inside of it as I glanced around the area.

Next, I hear the voice again as I turn around to see yup… my own shadow is against me.

'The closer you get to the light, the greater your darkness becomes.'

*Pop*

Next soon after I see my dark half began to pop out of itself as it began to form Grimm like bones around itself acting as armor having a Grimm shield, and sword in it's hand while having a staff like my own on it's left side of the shield.

Oh that's so not fair.

Why does my dark half have magic.

Well…

No use arguing about it now time to fight this evil or dark me.

Holding my stance up I get the feeling I won't go down that easy since it's well… my dark self.

'Don't be afraid.'

'And don't forgot…'

*Swoosh*

*CLANG*

We both clashed not waiting for each other response as we used our swords to fight as I try to frown fighting each other if were truly the same.

*Clang*

We both clashed heavily at each other as this is leading me nowhere as we both knew that we won't give each other the chance to fight on.

Lifting my sword and as the other me uses his wand to amp itself up with whatever magic it had as I prepared to counter attack and so did my shadow we both gave our all to see who's going to be the last one standing as there could only be one us.

*SWOOSH*

*CLASH*

*Swoosh*

Clashing at nearly the same time I rushed towards him and just as the beam of magic or mana comes but what I did was pull a 180 Ultra Instinct Omen Goku move right here.

*Fwoosh*

Jumping on the beam using my shield as a surfboard catching the shadow me by surprise managed to land a lethal blow as my shadow swinging my Dream Sword as I managed to land a blow…

*Splat*

But not without getting some wounds on myself in the process…

Feeling the drips spreading across my chest of white or slimy goo as I felt my soul of a body chest bleed as I saw my shadow destroys itself down into atoms.

My win other me.

Hopefully the next we meet it would be under better circumstances as I felt the fatigue of my body getting to me.

*Shiii*

*Squish*

Like that I saw the darkness consumed me but I let it as I didn't have any strength to continue resisting against it.

But for an odd reason I couldn't explain it felt natural to me so I no longer bother resisting for the time being.

I couldn't help but just accept it even though I didn't know why.

As I did so I began to hear the voice I have been listening to all this time return again as I began to fall down the darkness of the void that surrounded me as I heard it spoke to me.

'—But don't be afraid.'

'You hold the mightiest weapon of all.'

'So, don't forget… You are the one that will change the fate of all in Remnant…'

[Ding!]

[Due to not obtaining <Dream Staff> MP or Magic is not available unless given!]

[Analyzing….]

[MP bar is replaced with Spirit Energy Points or the Aura Points to be used!]

[Due to obtaining <Dream Sword> and <Dream Shield> [The Gamer] Soul will be boosted!]
