Turning my attention to Neptune summoning up a pair of water-like snakes coiling around him acting like a shield with Scarlet turned his attention along with Neptune turning their gazes at me.

Not hiding a smirk across my face turning my gaze at Neptune I couldn't help but call him out on his <Water Attraction> Semblance in action, "Whistle... Didn't know you have it in you Neptune. I see that you are taking this seriously using your Semblance."

Gripping my M.V.S. readying to strike with Neptune giving Scarlet the command to go away while having his attention on me, "Scarlet Sun's down. Go help Sage leave the leader to me if Sun failed as planned."

As planned?

Tilting my head oddly at this with Scarlet nodding what happened next soon caught me by surprise next.

*Swoosh*

*Splash*

I see Scarlet thrown away into the air with Neptune throwing him into the air away making me a bit speechless at how bold Neptune was with his own teammate.

*Splash*

But soon I recovered when the other tendril of water rushed at me having me defend using my own element of <Fire Manipulation> releasing a concentrated beam attack of fire colliding with Neptune's water tendril.

*Woosh*

Next, I was blinded by a steam of hot water evaporating into the air covering as a smokescreen with my vision blinded when I heard Port explaining Scarlet Semblance via the intercom system making me release the play of launching him into the air, "Wonderful maneuver of Team SSSN Neptune part. With him launching Scarlet with his Semblance <Gliding>. Scarlet Semblance allows him to maneuver in the air and land with a safe touchdown."

Ahh…

Makes sense now why Neptune threw him out while I keep my attention on Neptune sensing the water vapor in the air to change thanks to my own <Water Attraction> sensing control struggle.

When we finally gathered enough water between us I couldn't help but be impressed with the teamwork while I complimented them on their work, "Have to say Neptune didn't expect you to get over your fear of water? Care to explain what changed?"

Smirking at that Neptune readying his water into a solid ice trident with more water from the field advantage at his control replying, "Trust me the last few weeks have been the worst I met with. Being forcibly thrown onto the ocean beaches with my Team forcing me, words of encouragement, and some therapy help I can at least use my Semblance. At least enough to face you."

Smirking at that readying my M.V.S. controlling the water nearby I can say that this will be –

Hearing the sounds of the water changing to ice from Neptune being wary of me keeping his distance away with him speaking to me, "Yeah… nope. I'm not about to go close combat with you buddy. Touching you will drain my aura as you did with Sun so… I hope you don't mind being target practice."

Rolling my eyes at that one.

Not like Glynda hasn't tried that with me or my own clones shooting me down.

*Shiii*

Raising up his ice trident Neptune soon commanded more balls of water to form as each of them are pressurized inside me narrowing my eyes and pulling down his trident at the same moment the water balls release small water gun shots at me.

Each of those shots of pressurized water soon came at me while I use <Kami-e> to avoid each and every shot Neptune had while freezing the water to ice to try and stop me or use the ice's slippery properties to make me slip up.

Not a bad strategy honestly considering I'm at his home court advantage with him using his Semblance to the best within the element of his environment.

Have to say I'm pleased that Neptune is taking this seriously…

Although it's a shame he had to face me in the first round since I have trained hard for cases like these and any strong enemy in the future.

Like Team Four Star Piccolo has said passing on great wisdom...

DODGE!!!!

Casually avoiding each and every shot with ease seeing Neptune's lips twitch in annoyance how even with him using his Semblance to me it's not much effort for me to dodge.

But the effort is worth being complemented where hard work was due.

*BEEP*

Ugh…

I'm really starting to hate hearing that beeping sound while I keep my focus on Neptune with Port speaking out making me frown at the news, "Ouch! Lie Ren has been eliminated by aura level with Scarlet David and Sage Ayana tag teaming while providing support to miss Nikos. But what's this?"

*BOOM*

Hearing a loud booming sound with metal flying around changing the desert area where Pyrrha and Ren were I couldn't help but smirk at my magnet girl.

Magnetism in a desert area where sand can be controlled?

Pyrrha is right in her element.

Neptune cringed seeing he wasn't the only one whose right in their element of control.

Bet this wasn't part of their plans.

I can feel the magnetism change in the air and I hear Oobleck respond to the situation of events with Neptune cringing at the news, "Oh! It seems like Miss Nikos is using her Semblance <Polarity> to control the magnetism of the sand. With this turn of events, how shall Sage or Scarlet handle this new development?"

Easy they won't.

Pyrrha is a tough girl.

And speaking about tough I should focus on my own fight and use the ice field that Neptune provided to my advantage.

Adding and using the ice slippery properties made using <Kami-e> even easier for me to move ahead with little movement used dodging water guns that Neptune had while he finally threw his ice trident and used his real weapon out.

*Woosh*

Taking the ice-made trident right away from Neptune's attempt I began to turn it around and return it back to sender via <Telekinesis>.

*Woosh*

Oobleck soon made a comment about the attack while I analyze Neptune and react to this calmly, "Oh dear folks it seems like Neptune is at the receiving end of his own attack. Adding <Telekinesis> to the list of Mr. Nights skills folks. Yet can Neptune change the tides?"

Ha!

Change the tides.

I get it.

*Splash*

When I returned it back Neptune changed it back to water splashing at him with annoyance as he had no choice but to prepare for close combat using his mechas Tri-Hard trident mode with me clashing with my M.V.S. clashing with his weapon.

*Clang*

Moving each movement parrying spear strikes with my sword redirecting it while he fights mid-range as I try to get closer to him each step while he keeps his cool.

*BEEP*

But it didn't last long when we both heard the beeping sounds of the intercom system announcing that Team SSSN's other members weren't doing so well by Oobleck, "Ough… Sage Ayana and Scarlet David are both eliminated by ring out and aura level! However, Pyrrha herself is eliminated by Aura level for over-exhausting her aura. Thus, leaving only Jack Nights and Neptune Vasilias left to who wins or loses."

Seeing that we both have a lot on the line it was time to get this fight to a close.

I get close range getting closer to Neptune before he finally attacked raising his arm up, "Now!"

*SPLASH*

*SWOOSH*

Sensing something off I immediately used <Time Stop> for a second.

But a second is all I needed.

In <Time Stop> I used <Soru> to quickly get behind Neptune when I saw the ice I was under turn into a water bubble trying to capture me then turned ice only to notice that Neptune missed when he finally realized the attack or plan he had missed.

Not bad.

Heh.

At least I can safely assume the other characters trained hard to defeat us which makes me feel a bit relieved about what's coming up next.

Team SSSN changed plans against us in the event we were teamed up and possibly used their semblances to the best of their abilities maybe with Sun trying to wear me down as much as possible leaving me exhausted while Neptune provoked us any way they could get an edge.

Brilliant planning and using the facts of general knowledge of my relationship with Pyrrha and Nora with Ren to get a rise out of one of them to force either one of them to fight Neptune in his element surprising us when he can in fact use his Semblance getting Nora out as he did.

Heh.

Looks like everyone trying to defeat us with plans and tricks is just part of their goal to get an edge over us.

Truly remarkable and scary at the same time but what was to come through just right to motivate them all for a true war-like experience and adapt.

Ending my <Time Stop> everything soon returned to normal again with me seeing motion returning.

Placing my hand onto his back getting Neptune to flinch seeing where this was going with me into a shooting stance complementing Neptune, "You did really well Neptune. I can see you can go far using your Semblance but… no offense dude I'm taking this win."

*BOOM*

"Ahh!"

Ouch…

Using <Rokugon> on him sending a devasting shockwave attack attacking him and sending him flying to the wall of the arena with Port beginning to give us the win, "And that's the match! Neptune is eliminated by ring out! Team JNPR is victorious! As expected of our dear Heroes of Remnant! Everyone gives, a round of applause for those that fought and tried their hardest!"

*CLAP*

With that everyone soon clapped at our win with Pyrrha coming over tired helping her while we won the fight.

Feeling a hug from Ruby along with the rest of Team RWBY soon coming over taking the hug and flexing my arm at our win boasting a bit, "Yup! Even though we fought hard Team SSSN also fought just as hard. Got to admit I was surprised with Neptune using his Semblance though."

Nora pouts at that speaking out about the way Neptune used his Semblance, "Hmph! Neptune got lucky is all. If he wasn't at home field advantage with bodies of water, I could take him and his legs with him. Hmph!"

Hahaha!

Nora pouts being sore about losing while I nervously laugh at that with Ren patting over her shoulder while talking to everyone on our way to our dorms, "No worries Nora you can get him next time. Anyway, leader, I'm guessing you and Pyrrha are going to represent us for the doubles round?"

Nodding at that in agreement Yang took that moment to smirk proudly at this whipping her fist in the air overconfident, "Heh! I and Weiss are going to represent Team RWBY in the doubles round. Who knows we might have to fight each other in the finals. Maybe this time we can settle the score a long time ago Jack?"

Smirking at that I remember the time when Yang used to beat me in our spars when I was lower-level learning how to throw a punch all those months ago.

Man…

It kind of feels like forever since then.

Lots of things changed since then and even so many crazy things have happened in that short span of time.

It truly feels like a long time ago since then.

Damn it Yang…

She's making me feel old thinking of the past.

Everyone's eyes widen except for Ruby when they shout out loud in clear surprise, "NO WAY YOU LOST TO YANG!!"

Hehe…

I guess Yang is clearly taking this moment to gloat but also feel offended thinking about my skills, but it has been a long while since I need to take care of dealing with that small issue of taking care of that record with Yang.

Well…

Here's hoping I settle the score with Yang when we finally meet up for the final single rounds soon enough.
