Chapter 166: Relic of Choice (1)
~Third POV~
The Haven Vault, also called the Vault of the Spring Maiden, is a large underground chamber hidden beneath Haven Academy.
It housed the Relic of Knowledge accessible by the Spring Maiden.
Much like Beacon Academy, Haven Academy also has a Vault. It is a large cave under the school, accessible via a hidden elevator in the Grand Hall disguised as a statue bearing homage to Jinn.
*Tap*
Standing outside at the entrance to the Haven Vault during the night Jack goes towards the lever needed to access the vault, "Thankfully there is hardly anyone here because of the Vytal Festival. Should be thankful for that and making my way to the vault a lot easier especially since I have all I need to open it."
*Crank*
Pushing the lever down it soon activated the hidden entrance to the vault.
*Creee*
Soon enough an elevator soon appears Jack takes the moment to ride the elevator down to the vault using <Technopathy> to bypass using the key needed.
*Bump*
The elevator leads down to a large platform resting over a deep chasm. The bottom of the chasm features a pool of water and a cave wall with a small hole that leads to the lower parts of Mistral.
Waiting for his way down Jack finally lands safely thanks to the elevator going ahead to view the path in ahead of him.
The path on the platform leading up to the Relic chamber's doorway has three cyan circles on the ground with an ornate symbol in each of them that is illuminated with Jack leading towards the entrance of the vault.
The end of the platform features the door to the Relic chamber, an elaborate orange doorway situated in a rock wall. Behind it is a large tree with glowing orange flowers. The doorway is constructed out of golden fans layered on top of each other, and decorated with a floral pattern.
The door itself doesn't actually press up against the rock with a tree since there is a space between them.
*Shiii*
Opening his hand near the entrance of the vault Jack used <Kindred Link> to open a portal near Koromaru guarding Raven through the other end unconscious and sedated with enough sleeping drugs to keep her in place.
Going through the portal Jack began to grab Raven's arm pulling it forward touching the vault activating it just by Raven touching the vault signaling it would now open up with Jack returning Raven.
*Shiii*
The portal of <Kindred Link> closes off with Jack viewing the vault opening up before him as the floral pattern starts glowing and lights up while the layers of the fan rotate until the gateway can be crossed.
Viewing the inside of the vault when the doorway is unlocked, it leads to another dimension with a vast desert and three circular stone platforms leading to a stone pedestal above which the Relic of Knowledge formerly levitated.
Curiosity getting the better of him Jack used <Observe> on the other dimension wondering where it belonged, "Whoa… so this is what the Haven Vault looks like huh? I wonder what this dimension is anyway. <Observe>… huh?"
Using his skill <Observe> on the dimension itself Jack was honestly baffled by what he got in front of him of what the screen gave the info of what exactly the dimension was.
[Ever After]
[The Ever After is a world beyond Remnant that could be accessed via the void beneath the Evacuation Central Location or going through the Vaults leading them into different realms of The Ever After. This was created long ago by Ozma hoping to hide the Relic so with the Relic of Choice and Creation he made these Vaults hidden away so that not even Salem would ever find out.]
Jack's eyes widen reading the contents of the screen before swiping it away and heading towards the Relic with a narrow gaze ahead, "So Ozpin does know about what that place was in the Vol.9 trailer. I wonder how he got the idea to use this to create the vaults, to begin with. So many questions and yet… really won't matter in the end."
Ignoring the dimension in question Jack soon walks towards the Relic of Knowledge.
The entire location has an ethereal effect similar to a mirage fitting for the Relic of Knowledge Jinn inside of it.
The Relic of Knowledge is one of the four Relics created by the God of Light. It has the power to summon Jinn, who can answer three questions every one hundred years. It is commonly referred to as the Lamp.
The Relic of Knowledge has the ability to summon Jinn, who can answer only three questions every one hundred years. These questions can be about anything so long as they don't pertain to the future. It also stops time around Jinn and the user.
The Relic is a golden ornamented lamp with a blue sphere in the middle. Its size can shift according to the user, keeping the same ratio. Jack soon took the Lamp and after the Relic was removed the dimension seemingly stopped existing as only a gate remained.
However, Jack's eyes were now holding the Relic in his hand with him beginning to use <Fusion> to see what he can copy from Jinn immediately earning a smirk on his face when he saw the screens present in front of him.

[-Fusion Conditions-
Description: Jinn is a spirit that resides in the Relic of Knowledge. She can be summoned by the user calling out her name, at which point Jinn can answer three questions every one hundred years. You must use up all the remaining questions.]
Holding the Lamp in his hands Jack began to close the Vault and repair the elevator to make it look like no one would notice Jack immediately soon spoke out the words to activate the Relic fully intending to get her skill.
"Jinn."
*Shiii*
Suddenly everything has been frozen with birds, people, animals, and even air stopped in the instant when Jack spoke out the name using <Kindred Link> to return back to his base.

*Shiii*
Closing up the portal back to his home island the lamp started to erupt blue smoke and the relic deconstruct itself to transform into the Spirit inside the Relic.
*WOOOSH*
Suddenly wind of blue smoke began to pick up with Jinn soon revealing herself.
The Relic as it floats a short distance away, and cyan smoke emanates from it. Suddenly, the lamp is enveloped in the smoke, and from it, a giant, semi-nude feminine figure emerges. Her skin and hair are colored blue and decorated with gold jewelry and ornaments.
The figure stretches and moans as she has been awakened once again. This is Jinn, the aforementioned being inhabiting the Relic of Knowledge.
Jinn soon began to speak out in front of Jack then realization struck her when the knowledge of Jack entered her head surprise in her voice, "Wonderful. Tell me, what knowledge do you seek? I am Jinn, a being created by the God of Light to aid Humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. I've been graced with the ability to answer three questions every one hundred years. You're in luck, as I am still able to answer two questions in this era. But then again you would already know, didn't you?"
Jack could only smile in agreement laughing lightly talking to Jinn in a respectful tone, "Haha. Yeah. You wouldn't be the first but then again no one could expect me from another world though."
Jinn for her part playfully talked to Jack feeling a bit curious about the stranger from another world, "You would be right. Despite the body belonging here, your very soul is from another world. If anything, I thought I would know everything about what happened, and yet…"
A smile soon appeared across Jinn's face with a bemused expression on her face Jack thought of his plan causing her to be surprised, "Oh… I see now. You have a lot planned and it cinches with me helping you out. I truly have to admit humanity is really scary given what you know. However, I can't really say I'm not impressed by your thinking of what they can do as well as know things that would or not happen."
Jack could only agree with Jinn's words of his plan going to work only left him with a sigh of relief wasting no time asking the first question, "Ok first things first. Since I lost my clone with Hazel teleporting away. Ahem! Jinn could you show me where to find the locations of The Domain of Light and Land of Darkness physically guiding me where they are through your time stop."
Jinn smiles at this soon revealing the locations with Jack immediately marking down where to find them with glee.
Jack nods but soon smirks when Jinn reveals a certain location, he needs to get to… The Domain of Light with The Land of Darkness is shown.
Jack merely smiles at this seeing the God's Domains but that is when Jinn chipped in that The Domain of Light is locked with an explanation to open it, "Before I guide you to the domains here's a little tip about them. Despite The Domain of Light being presently filled with Magic... it has been sealed away by Ozma using the Relic of Creation with a Vault that can only be opened by using one of the Relics present. Guess you are a lucky young man. With one of the questions used by this era, I have one left. Do you wish to continue?"
Jinn followed waiting to finally hear Jack's question in freeze time making her smile at his choice of words, "I hope you don't mind taking my last question while we go to our destination. For my question Jinn… I want to know everything of how I got myself into Remnant by Gaia and everything she has given my [The Gamer] ability and all of its limitations."
Jinn grins at this.
Activating <Constant Speed> and <Power Augmentation> on it he focused his speed all the way to Salem's current home dealing with the Grimm right away.
Suddenly, Jack finds himself alone in a blank white space but not ahead of him seeing his in the present time going through the seas of Remnant as he goes listening over to Jinn's narration of everything going on, "Once upon a time there once was a young spirit during the age of Gods and Magic. This young Spirit is named Gaia the spirit of Remnant that the Brother Gods reside."
The white void soon began to depict everything relating to Gaia and her beginnings and struggles throughout the age along with her time resting her own powers.
However, Gaia learned everything and heard all that steps on the land of Remnant crying over and over seeing her own children of life killing or being killed off by Grimm with Jack witnessing the gruesome views of Gaia's point of view.
She merely cried and tried to help but with the lack of magic, she could only do so much before she was forced to slumber again with enough energy to witness the carnage that the Brother Gods left on Remnant. On her feeling, the pain the Brother God of Darkness scorches her spiritual body representing the planet of Remnant.
When scorched Gaia had pained grief of disbelief that the creators were fooled and harmed her in denial that her creator harmed it but with time came to terms with it… and resentment to them in the process.
Next Jack soon sees the events of how God Brother of Light left Ozma the guardian to do against Salem and their expanding Empire only till how it all ended with Ozma and Salem fighting each other at the cost of their daughters dying in the explosion making Jack frown seeing them die like that.
Gaia was shocked viewing their actions but soon felt as if history was repeating itself over and over again witnessing everything man's actions have done to Remnant with Jack finally reaching his destination.
The Grimm lands or better known as the Domain of Darkness.
Going forward he continues to listen to Jinn narrating what happened to Gaia.
Gaia next saw the Great War with her witnessing everything man has done and her children suffering from it simply choosing to move her spirit head away from it all going towards the Vale Vaults by passing them simply going through with her corporal body.
There inside an ever-changing maze within Vale's Vault lies the Relic of Choice getting Jack's attention and listening to Jinn's narration, "Thus Gaia decided to use the Relic of Choice to find the suitable ending she wants. The suitable end she desperately needs. Glancing at the thousands of outcomes using it she then began to find out she could gift her power nay, gift [The Gamer] to change everything using the Relic of Choice as its fuel source fusing within the [The Gamer]."
