Chapter 139: Dance Night (1)

~Yang POV~

"Morning mom!"

Waking up after the day that I found out mom is alive Jack agreed to let her take her back home after so long…

It feels really unreal…

Getting some breakfast prepared and coming inside I see mom is awake with Dad holding her hand as I make my appearance, "Hey mom… I got you a yannging breakfast for the day!"

"Hahaha!"

"That's my girl!"

Hearing mom laugh and Dad complimenting my joke I couldn't help but smile happily seeing them like this.

Dad used to be so sad in the past but with her here again… it finally feels like my family is moving on again.

While I began to place the food tray for mom she began to eat it with a Scroll ringing from Dad as he frowned, "Damn it… Signal Academy is calling in a substitute teacher I'm about to decline – "

However, he was stopped by mom placing her hand over his shoulder with a bright smile on her face as she spoke, "Tai… I won't be going anywhere. As much as you want to stay with me take this time to call your job taking a few days off for me anyway. And besides, I have some catching up with my little dragon and my rose."

*Che*

Kissing him on the cheek Tai tears up holding her hand again and speaking out happily, "Sniff… Still… I can't believe that you are really back Summer… after all that time searching for you and disregarding our children… I know I don't deserve this for – "

Before my Dad could speak Summer manages to shut him up with a kiss on the lips before departing slightly out of breath making Summer cry happily, "You aren't the only one. I missed you all for the longest time… for a very long and dark time of my life… the very hope of meeting you all and seeing my children grow up is what helped me through my darkest days…"

Tai was wiping off his tears as he couldn't help but respond out standing up and leaving before giving us his goodbye, "Your right dear. Now that you are back I promise to make things up for the lost time. Guess I should really thank the man I brought in to help with this. Even though he kept you hidden it was thanks to him that he healed you. I'll go ahead and talk to the staff about more days off. Goodbye and Yang please look after your mother."

Nodding and saluting at him I stood by mom with a bright smile on my face as I began to talk to her about well… everything that has been missing in our life.

Despite how much I wanted to know what happened to mom everyone including Ruby kept their mouth shut about it.

I want to know why, and I can't even get that much with even Ruby my own sister hiding it from me.

But…

It must be pretty breaking why though if she won't tell me why…

Every time I talked to mom, I felt like an eternity I'm talking or even given the chance to talk to mom about everything in our life while she cries happily for us.

Despite her missing in our life, I was scared that she would one day disappear again hence I'm not letting her out of my sight.

I will experience as much as I can and it was all thanks to him…

Smiling at that he is certainly someone that came out of nowhere and gave our family what we missed the most that everyone thought she was dead…

*Bump*

Feeling my heart bump remembering Jack and our time together him helping me save Ruby from the Grimm Ursai, volunteering to help look for Blake, risking his life with us to save Weiss, helping us finding Arthur, and coming up with a plan to save the day….

He's also very determined, brave, inspirational, a dork, and cool… wait what the hell am I thinking!

I'm the teasing master not… holy shit am I actually falling for him?

"Yang?"

"Huh?"

Glancing at Mom she began to touch my hand with a mischievous smirk on her face making me worried as she spoke, "Oh! I didn't miss this chance! Is my little dragon having a crush no… I know that look all too well. You have fallen for my savior didn't you my little dragon?"

Ack!

Getting shocked and surprised by my mother's claim she only squealed at this holding my hand while I turn beat red as she explains, "I knew you would fall for a good man! When I heard about you I was a bit worried about any boy coming after my little dragon heart but… if it's for my savior and this is me being biased I approve of you two."

Wha… what!

Internally screaming at this why and what!

Finding the words to finally speak what my mom means I try to defend that claim by me speaking out that his taken, "But… I mean I may like him mom but… he already taken with Ruby I don't know if it's right –"

That was when Summer shushed me with her finger pouting lightly before explaining to me missing a golden opportunity here making me blush further, "Shhh… Now Yang. You might never get a chance like him again in your lifetime. Yang for a Huntress we always want people to trust with our lives when marrying and with a man like him being single you need to take the chance to claim and share him with your sister."

What!

Getting shocked at this I began to ask mom why the sudden interest in me being with Jack and to share when she countered, she and Raven my biological mother did the same with Tai during their early days.

But the most evident answer from mom was that she spoke out with starry eyes at me, "Also… I want grandkids, Yang! Plus, Jack seems to be a very nice man. I want to see you two be married soon dear~"

"MOM!"

"Hehehe…"

Mom only laughed at me for that while trying to find it in my heart that I may have fallen for Jack because what he did for my family certainly earned a lot of goodie points and he has been working on his body which is really… oh my god… I'm really falling in love with the same person dating my sister…

I mean… Dad did share with our moms…

And… it could be very steamy hehe…

Maybe… no.

I mean…

Sigh…

Glancing at the only help that might give me advice on this with Summer smiling happily at this making me groan that life is unfair right now…

But… is it ok for me to find love through while searching for my biological mom…

~Third POV~

Pyrrha gearing up in a locker room as she thinks to herself blushing at the idea her mother gave her before breathing in and out, 'Shhh… whew…. I really hope my mom knew what she was doing?'

As she walks out of the locker room, she soon comes out to the other side of the arena while she is still exiting the arena.

When she finally appeared outside Glynda was there waiting as she voices out tapping her Scroll getting things started, "Hello Miss Nikos. Now any volunteers that wish to – "

Before Glynda could finish Pyrrha soon interrupted her asking in a bashful tone to her, "Actually Miss Goodwitch… I was wondering if I could choose my opponent for today."

At this Glynda nodded at this allowing Pyrrha to choose with a thankful nod as she calls out her opponents from the stands, "Thank you very much, Glynda. Now then… Jack Nights I wish to spar against you!"

Some of the audience gasped in surprise hearing this while the person himself was a bit surprised before agreeing, "Oh? Now, this is a surprise. Sure, thing just let me be there!"

Standing up and going towards the arena in the middle while their friends began to talk amongst each other.

Sun confused by this asks Ren nearby Team JNPR in a curious tone, "Say do you guys have any troubles with your team leader, or is it something with Pyrrha and Jack?"

Ren for his part shrugs his shoulders at Sun's response and replies with his own equally confused by this, "Not really. If anything, this is a surprise to us though."

Team RWBY nearby also watches from the distance confused with Ruby to ask Weiss next to her, "Say was there a reason why Pyrrha asked for Jack to be her opponent?"

At this Weiss could only shrug while being confused herself at the matter, "I'm not too sure Ruby. Although it is a curious match though if I'm honest."

Blinking at this Ruby remained confused while Yang smirks at this wondering about the fight between the Mistral Champion and The Hero of Remnant, "Glad you aren't the only one. I always did want to have a rematch with Jack since we came to Beacon. At the time he was a bit weak before… but now though? I want to see how he progressed."

Blake standing next to Yang nods her head in agreement recalling Jack explaining himself to be a civilian before becoming a Huntsman in training as he was scouted by Ozpin.

Thinking to herself amused by the idea of how the two will fight shakes her head as she began to think, 'Well… according to Yang Jack has fought a lot or less coming to Beacon. He certainly is no civilian after what we all go through. I'm curious to see how this will go.'

Having the same thoughts as the majority of classes wondering if the outcome of the fight between members of Team JNPR could go down they all saw Jack finally land on the arena platform.

Jack's eyes are filled with curiosity as he began to talk to Pyrrha with amusement in his tone getting out his Red Riot, "Ok Pyrrha hope to have a good sparring match. Although I do have to ask if you don't mind me. Any reason why you chose to fight me today just for curiosity's sake."

Pyrrha nods at this seeing her mother was right to assume Jack was curious as she began to reply to him with a gentle smile, "If you manage to defeat me I'll say… if you beat me that is. But if I one can I request something from you leader?"

Blinking in confusion at what Pyrrha meant Jack's curiosity peaked as he nodded in agreement.

Seeing this Glynda began to announce the sparring match going over the rules and acting as a referee for this match, "Very well then. As per the rules once your opponent reaches 10% of their aura you are the winner. Anything goes so long as you win. Remember in life there is no such thing as a fair fight as your future enemies won't give you the chance. And now…. BEGIN!"

*BEEP*

Listening in to the loud beeping sound of the ring the two stood their ground two analyzing each other waiting for the first to respond.

Merely smirking at her Jack was the first to begin the first move.

"Zooom!!"

Suddenly using <Constant Speed> skill to quickly rush towards with lightning dancing around Jack leaving a red blur just as Pyrrha twitches a bit recalling whose Semblance Jack was using avoiding a fast jab to the stomach, 'Ok that's Barry Semblance. Going for fast speed in close range….'

*Shiii*

Using her Semblance in return Pyrrha used her <Polarity> to try to control Jack's weapon Red Riot forcing him to stop briefly seeing the black color surrounding his weapon. Rushing in with her spear for a clean strike.

*Woosh*

Quickly responding to Pyrrha's spear strike Jack used <Bringer Light> for a quick movement speed to avoid the strike seeing a flickering light around his feet to avoid the oncoming attack catching Pyrrha by surprise.

Letting go of his weapon Jack observed from afar and reacted accordingly going in for close combat against Pyrrha rushing back in using the same method he escaped <Bringer Light> to move closer to her.

*CLANG*

A loud and noticeable sonic boom sound was heard when Jack's fist met with Pyrrha's Shield while coating his skin with <Metal Skin> but Pyrrha didn't notice as her shield blocked her view of it with Jack going for a quick leg swing midair attacking Pyrrha with some water particles materializing changing the molecules of them.

Pyrrha's eyes widen seeing the oncoming attack while Jack used <Telekinesis> to return his Red Riot gauntlets to him.

*Shiii*

Using her <Polarity> Pyrrha did something to surprise Jack as she took control of the metal of her armor to easily enhance and avoid the kick flying away from Jack as he uses <Bringer Light> to get some distance reequipping his weapon.

Jack was mildly impressed with Pyrrha's use of Semblance as he couldn't help but smirk at this as he spoke, "Whistle~ That's really impressive Pyrrha. When did you have the time to fly using your semblance?"

At this Pyrrha smiled getting praised by him as she responded unaware that the missed water attack began reforming thanks to Jack's <Water Attraction> turning into a sticky syrup-like substance, "Oh? You like it huh? I guess you can say it was the inspiration and drive after seeing you fight hard for us."

*WOOSH*

Suddenly getting Pyrrha by complete surprise using the small formed puddle of water began to jump towards Pyrrha catching her shield as she tries to but couldn't of how stickily it was catching Neptune's attention.

Jack began to use <Power Augmentation> to boost his control of <Water Attraction> as more water vapor that surround him began to change molecules into something more solid as he thinks to himself, 'While using <Power Augmentation> to boost my skills is crazy… but sadly I can't do it more than one skill at a time. The <Power Augmentation> is kick-ass but stupidly hard to control when I use it along skills, I'm not used to using master-level feats.'

*Splash*

More water began to appear surrounding the arena as Pyrrha was forced to get rid of the shield the sticky water began to consume it more entrapping it with water leaving Pyrrha with her spear gathering the crowd's attention.

"Whoa…"

"Damn…"

"This fight is crazy alright!"

The fight between Pyrrha and Jack was certainly something entertaining for the two but Neptune glances down his hands talking to himself clearly seeing Jack using his Semblance in action, "If… if I had trained with my Semblance instead of fearing it… would I be able to…"

Silencing himself Sun pats his best friend on the back of his shoulder with a smirk on his face talking to him, "No worries man. Maybe one day you can get to use it on that level. We got your backs, man."

Neptune smiles happily at the news and support from his friend.

Team RWBY was impressed seeing the result along with Ren and Nora seeing their friend's powers in action.

*SPLASH*

More water was beginning to form with Jack giving a Pyrrha smirk but she remained defiant as she spoke out to herself, "This would drain me a lot of aura doing this but… No way I would like to lose."

"Zzzzt!"

Calming herself inside the dome of water inside with Jack catching him by surprise again Pyrrha Semblance <Polarity> began to shift around her as her natural aura color soon turned pure black.

Jack unaware quickly used <Observe> to gather what information was going on with Pyrrha as he saw her wasting her Aura like crazy and soon gained a shocked expression but smile as well in the process.

Soon the <Observe> screen showed off what it was detailing in front of him.

[Pyrrha Nikos Lv.110 – Mistral Champion]

[Currently, Pyrrha is using a new technique she self-taught herself to never be touched again after the Starro incident and doing so caused her Semblance <Polarity> to evolve. The current Skill she is using is <Magnetic Aura> the user can release and surround themselves in/with a magnetic field for defensive and/or offensive purposes, possibly becoming almost untouchable and granting them various abilities/attacks. The aura may also give the user enhanced physical capabilities such as speed, strength, and durability.]

Showing off her <Magnetic Aura> to Jack she soon began to gather the tiles of the floor around her forming and changing shape as she needs it to control their magnetism she expresses a tired look on her as it drains her aura faster.

*WOOSH*

Soon enough Pyrrha began to throw the tiles at Jack in a fast speed but not fast enough Jack countered it changing, his skill to <Petal Burst> quickly avoiding the attacks but doing so releases the water dome to fall on them.

*Splash*

A large tidal wave soon appeared to fall down with Jack materializing himself above Pyrrha calmly using his <Petal Burst> to control his molecules after the time of practicing them releasing a vibrating sound shown on his arm.

Pyrrha's eyes widen seeing Jack coming close as she releases her <Magnetic Aura> to go for a <Magnetic Blast> releasing magnetic energy over a Jack causing great damage and/or delivering great shock waves of pure force.

*CRACK*

But before Pyrrha could release it Jack slammed his fist into the very air it soon expresses a literal air breaking apart catching Pyrrha by surprise soon followed after that a shockwave that rang out throughout the whole arena as any nearby was affected by it Pyrrha being the one to take the brunt of it.

Soon enough before Pyrrha could fall down she was suddenly taken in princess style by Jack quickly apologizing to her, "Ah! So sorry there Pyrrha! I didn't think that attack would be that damaging!"

Hearing him apologize Pyrrha felt a bit shaken but relatively alright with her Aura already healing her with Glynda not looking too pleased by the destruction, "Ahem! The winner is Jack Nights, and he is rewarded with quick detention for destroying the arena. I hope you can explain yourself, young man."

At this Jack immediately lets Pyrrha down and tries to apologize to Glynda making Pyrrha laugh a bit seeing the interaction as she talks to herself, "Hahaha… I guess he won't change much. But I was really hoping that – "

"Pyrrha!"

However, her words were cut off when the rest of her friends soon came forward to see Pyrrha and relatively sigh in relief seeing she was ok.

Next was when Glynda began to talk to everyone carrying a crying Jack completely defeated voicing her end of the class, "Now then everyone… thanks to a certain someone I would have to call the end of class for the day. Now then I hope all of you enjoy your time at the dance and the interview of a lifetime. Good day and dismissed."

Pyrrha could only sigh at this with everyone leaving but not before Ruby soon tapped on her shoulder beginning to talk, "Hey Pyrrha… do you like Jack?"

"Ah!"

She jumped up in surprise at that Ruby getting the confirmation needed with Pyrrha quickly apologizing, "I'm sorry Ruby I know that you and he are dating and I just but – "

However she was soon interrupted when Ruby interrupted her whispering in her ear getting the redhead attention her eyes widen speaking quietly to her, "No… you… you are fine with sharing him? I mean… are you sure? I don't want to intrude – "

Ruby only nodded at this as she takes her hand going over to where Glynda is taking Jack with a deep breath to herself, "Uh huh. I want Jack to be happy, but I also don't want you guys to be sad either… it's just he needs persuading. Hopefully hearing you might consider his opinion… hopefully…"

Pyrrha for her part nods but internally is happy to have a chance.
