The Real War starts...

It was early morning with the sun barely risen as Logan watch the first year's base camp. Marking which students were losing points on his scroll. Resisting the urge to giggle, Logan smiled at how the test was structured. Thinking about it, it was incredibly easy for a student to lose points while being very hard to gain any at all.

.

The test in question focuses mainly on how the students react to a mission gone wrong. Be it missing team members, injuries, supply shortages, or an influx of Grimm. Though the Grimm influx would be artificial and heavily monitored by the professors. Points would be deducted for things that would be harmful or catastrophic, depending on what was done. Points could also be given should a person do any action that could potentially save lives such as building a decent wall/fence.

.

Cardin and his team lost a lot of points for that poor excuse of a fence.

.

Logan watched as those with minor injuries did what they could to help out around the basecamp, be it picking eatable berries from nearby or patrolling inside the fence if they could. Those that weren't injured guarded the entrances and patrolled outside the fence while keeping watch for any Grimm that could be lurking.

.

Logan: 'So far, so good.' Logan thought, then he saw something. 'Scratch that. Cardin what are you up to you waste of oxygen.'

.

Logan watched as Cardin and his only team member, Dove, walk out of the camp armed and with a backpack on Dove's back. Jaune came rushing out not long after they set foot out of the camp. Logan could see them arguing about something then Cardin swung at Jaune who ducked out of the way. Cardin then drew his mace and pointed it at Jaune, shouting something that Logan couldn't make out. But the looks of the few Faunus that we there, it was either highly racist or something that no one should say. Jaune stood there shaking his head and waved them off, telling them to go.

.

Logan: "Cardin, you are a royal dumbass." Logan muttered to himself as he marked Cardin and Dove on his scroll. If you don't get kicked out after this, I'm gonna send you home in a Tupperware container."

.

Back at the Professor's Hideout

Oobleck: "Mrs. Goodwich, you may have to rein in your Husband." Doctor Oobleck said.

Glynda: "I'm guessing that it has to do with Mr. Winchester." Glynda said without looking at the monitors.

Port: "And you would be correct." Port said while shaking his head. "By the way, I've been meaning to ask you. Are you taking Logan's name or is it the other way around?"

Glynda: "We haven't figured that out yet." Glynda said. " We agreed to figure that out when we have our wedding. Though, we might just combine our names if we can't figure it out."

Port: "I thought you two were already wed!?" Port asked.

Glynda: "We are according to the paperwork. We just haven't had the ceremony yet." Glynda informed them.

.

At the Frist year's basecamp

Jaune was angry. Simple as that. The reason? Cardin and Dove.

.

The two of them raided the camp's supplies and took what they wanted without care. Be it food, ammo, or medical supplies. They took what they could put into a backpack and ate their fill before leaving and saying a few choice words behind. If it wasn't for the remaining people of the camp needing help, Jaune would have gone after Cardin and Dove to just get the supplies they took back.

.

Five days' worth of food, enough medicine to treat a critical patent, and ammo none of Team CRDL could use. Jaune was thankful that they had stored the small amount of Dust they had elsewhere or that may have been taken by them as well. And for what? Nothing.

.

Ruby: "Jaune, you okay?" Ruby asked as she watched him put a dent in a tree.

Jaune: "Ruby, Cardin just took off with a mountain of supplies we needed." Jaune stated.

Ruby: "I heard." Ruby said calmy. "I was out scouting around, hoping to find some more people. When I got back, I was told about it."

Jaune: "If it wasn't for this test, I would have chased and gutted him." Jaune said, punching the tree again and making a bigger dent.

Ruby: "Trust me, if what I heard is true about what they said, Logan, will do it before you could even blink." Ruby told him. "That being said, if Team CRDL is still here after this year, Logan will make sure they won't be here next year."

Jaune: "True, Logan's been looking for a reason for them to get expelled." Jaune laughed a little. "So, did you find anything while you were out?"

.

Ruby: "Yep!" Ruby said, her cheerfulness exploding. "I found a camp with six more people, they should be here in less than an hour. I already cleared the way of any Grimm that I could find."

Jaune: "Thank Oum." Jaune sighed happily. "At least we'll be able to make up what we lost a bit. Anything else?"

.

Ruby: "I think I found out where the Professors are hiding." Ruby said seriously, her cheerfulness disappearing.

Jaune: "Where?" Jaune asked; his attention fully on Ruby.

Ruby: "About two miles from here due North by North-west." Ruby told Jaune. "It's well hidden inside a cliff face to the point you'll miss it if you don't know it's there."

Jaune: "How'd you find it? It couldn't have been easy." Jaune asked.

Ruby: "Sheer dumb luck." Ruby said while shaking her head. "I was using my semblance to make myself easier to spot and saw Logan coming out of it. From what I saw before he lost me, he looked as if he was scouting himself."

Jaune: "I doubt that it's the real hideout." Jaune said. "I highly doubt that Logan would make such a mistake. So it's either a trap or it's where they're keeping those they captured and it's a trap. It's just not enough to go on."

Ruby: "Fair enough."

.

Jaune: "I'm worried Ruby." Jaune said suddenly.

Ruby: "Why?" She asked.

Jaune: "When Logan showed up and told us this was a test, he told us about it." Jaune said and Ruby nodded. "But he didn't tell us how we were marked, or if those they captured were out, or what is our purpose out here. Just vague outlines of it."

Ruby: "So there's a chance there are hidden rules to it?"

Jaune: "Knowing Logan, there always is."

.

With Logan

Logan smiled as he listened in on Jaune and Ruby's conversation, having snuck in with his [Aura Pulse]. As he stood above the two of them in the tree that Jaune had punched twice already, Logan had a devious idea. Using some ash he colored pink, he made a pink hand grenade without the pin and spoon. Before either Jaune and Ruby could move, he dropped it at their feet. As the two looked at it in horror, Logan dropped down.

.

Logan: "Bang." Logan said as the two of them jumped at his voice. "Miss me?"

Ruby: "Logan-" Ruby went to shout but was cut off by Jaune putting his hand in front of her mouth.

Jaune: "Why are you here?" Jaune asked with a strong tone of voice.

Logan: "Easy there Jaune-y Poo, I'm not Pyrrha. That tone won't work on me." Logan said, trying to get a rise out of him.

Jaune: "Why are you here?" Jaune asked again, ignoring the comment while Ruby giggled at it.

Logan: "Fine, fine. I'll tell you." Logan said. "I happened to overhear your conversation about there being hidden rules to this test. And I can say, you are correct."

Ruby: "That doesn't explain why you're here." Ruby said as she realized why Jaune acted as he did.

.

Logan: "How else are us professors supposed to know what happens in your camp?" Logan asked as he shrugged his shoulders. "Anyway, since I'm feeling nice, I'll answer any three questions you may have about the test. And no, not each." Logan told them then stopping Ruby from asking a very obvious question. "Please keep in mind there are things I can't say or I'll get in trouble. I rather not lose my paycheck."

Jaune: "How are the professors grading us, what are the marks for those who fail, and what is the test based on?" Jaune asked all at once, making one question with three things for Logan to answer.

.

Logan: "I see I taught you well." Logan said as he smiled at Jaune's quick thinking. "Starting with the first part, it's a point grade system where points are taken or added with a passing baseline. Second, I can't answer that as the professors keep track of all the students participating. Third, it's similar to the entrance exam you guys had when you were placed into teams." Logan informed them while counting with his fingers. "Next question."

.

Ruby: "Are those that are captured out, where are the other first years located, and are there hidden objectives to this test?" Ruby asked, understanding what Jaune did with the first question.

.

Logan: "I really did teach the two of you well. But I'll say it now, this is the last time I'll answer a question like that." Logan chuckled. "First off, no, those that are captured are not out. Second, I can't tell you as that is one of the objectives. And lastly, there are multiple objectives and I can't tell you them."

Ruby: "Thanks anyway." Ruby said with a small smile.

Logan: "Sorry, I have a job to keep and a wife to keep happy." Logan chuckled. "Last question."

Jaune: "Are there factors going against us?" Jaune asked after a bit of thought.

.

Logan: "That was something you should have asked first." Logan stated as he laughed. "Yes." That was all that he said before vanishing from sight in front of Jaune and Ruby.

Ruby: "I hate when he does that." Ruby grumbled after Logan was gone.

Jaune: "Try sparing with him when he does that every two minutes." Jaune commented.

.

Logan left after talking with Jaune and Ruby, having already done what he needed to do inside the basecamp. From there, Logan bounced around to where the remaining scattered students were and harassed them a bit before moving on. Killing a few Grimm that would be too much for them to handle here and there as well as using normal firearms to deal with them, though it still took a few shots.

.

As he made his way towards another basecamp that was set up, Logan came across Yang and Blake. Logan really wanted to mess with them, but they were getting ready to bathe in a river so he just left a note carved into a tree where they could see it. Shaking his head, Logan left the two of them as he continued towards the second basecamp.

.

About halfway to the second basecamp, Logan felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up and his [Presence Detecion] go off. Wrapping himself in a thick cover of ash and blocking where his instincts told him to do so, Logan managed to mitigate a large portion of what hit him. But the power behind the hit was far more than enough to send him flying through two tresses and be embedded into a third. Logan groaned as he pulled himself out of the tree and faced what attacked him.

.

Logan: "Oh, you gotta be sh*ting me." Logan groaned as he saw what hit him. "I'm seriously gonna beat Port if he left the hideout door open again."

.

In front of Logan stood Mulberry's Exo-suit with a Grimm Geist controlling it. And in its hands was Lucifer with a still smoking barrel. As Logan pushed himself to walk forward, he felt something warm drip down his arm and face. He didn't need to look to see it was blood. Logan quickly bought and took a few Arua recovery pills from his [System: Store] as he readied himself to face the Geist with what he had.

.

As Logan went to charge at the Geist, his Preasance Detection went off again, and Logan blocked an attack from the right. As he did, Logan felt his aura block an attack from carving up his back. Logan quickly made a flame whip and forced the two that attacked him towards the Geist. Of the two that attacked him, one was the corrupted woman he met long ago when he went after the Kanibal tribe and the other was a slender-bodied woman with long, straight black hair in a 'Hime' cut with blood-red eyes.

.

Logan: "Wel- what the?!" Logan went to speak, only for his voice to come out sounding like gravel in a blender.

Hime Woman: "Hmm, too bad I didn't get a complete touch~," The Slender-bodied woman said with a sickly smile. "You would be much better off than looking like that."

.

Looking down at his arm, Logan saw that his arm had withered. The skin was a sickly pale white and the arm appeared to be skin and bone. Logan immediately looked at the Hime woman and noticed that only one of her hands was without a glove. The other had a half-glove covering it and was holding another half-glove.

.

Logan only had one thought. Shite.
