17 Chapter 17

Inside a room in the Inn was Ruby looking over her system screen, her eyes were wandering around while her finger occasionally swiped upwards. Apart from the status screen she wanted to find out what other things have changed, numbers were changed to letters, lowest being E- while the highest is EX.

She doesn't know how high EX is but if the parameters are accurate it should be higher than the four letters before it. She thinks while looking at the D- in her stats, next she goes to her Inventory. Instead of the usual ten slots it was instead tripled with thirty slots to put things in, after that she closed her inventory and looked at the new option in her menu screen.

The [Skills] tab, if she remembers correctly the techniques she learned counts as skills as well. She clicked on the tab and was greeted by a long list of what she could do, from what she could see the highest rank she got is C- in Swordsmanship while the lowest being her Magic, Every spell besides Buff and Debuff spells she has is ranked E- while the two are ranked D+.

At least she's not completely useless when it comes to magic. If she was then her mana would be a waste, she looks at the [Title Effects] tab but didn't open it. She already knew her title's effects, why would she open it again? She hopped out of the bed and grabbed her sword, armour, and bag. Put it on and left for the next floor.

That was originally the plan but somehow, someway, trouble comes knocking on her door.

"Are you sure this is the room she's in? That elf might have lied for some quick cash." Her hand stilled as it hovered over the knob, Ruby frowned. Enemies? No, I didn't feel any ill intent from them.

"Should we knock first? I mean like, it's common courtesy to do so. Especially if it's your mission target that you've been searching for years." Target? Okay so they're baddies, "We can finally get the money Summer com-"

She did not need to know anything else, once Summer left the female's mouth her foot was already kicking the door down with her hand drawing her sword.

The two people Infront of her jumped back with their weapons drawn, Ruby's eyes were filled with rage. Somehow, the name Summer snapped something in her mind.

'I'm not going back, NEVER.' Ruby quickly cast random debuff spells on both people and ran, shouts were heard behind her but she couldn't hear them any longer.

'I need to go up, they'll never catch me there.' With that Ruby sprinted off to the last sighted location of the Floor Keeper.

58th floor Inn - Blake Belladonna

Waving away the dust from her vision, Blake looked at the broken door infront of her, to be quite honest. She thought this mission was going to be easy, like how could she think that a fifteen year old knew spells? Oh wait, one just ran from her.

Judging from the heavy weight on her shoulder, it must've been a debuff or something. Wait- Adam got hit by the spells too, she turned to the bull faunus laying on the floor.

"Are you okay Adam?" Blake asked worriedly

a groan answered her question before a hand was stretched out, "Weiii~"
