First kill... Kinda

"You know, this is one of the worst times you could have shown up, Rave."

I chuckle at the raven that just landed on my shoulder. I was sitting on a roof, looking down into an alleyway.

I was wearing a muscle shirt, which was currently hugging my form, and my hair was let down instead of being spiked backwards like usual. For my bottom half, I was wearing black cargo pants and black combat boots.

In my hands, I was holding a skull-shaped gas mask, the forehead of the mask was absent, and its eyes were red to mask my silver.

Summer said that my eyes were "Special", I ain't risking some powerful asshole coming for me because I have a secret Sharingan.

It could be equipped with a strap that wrapped around my head... If Im being honest, it reminds me of someone's mask, but I can't remember who... Probably a side character, but whatever.

The raven on my shoulder squawks once and stays where she was perched.

Sighing, I place the mask on my lap and take out the thin but tight gloves and put them on. Taking the mask I put it on, bringing the straps right above my temples which circled around to my crown and free my hair that managed to get caught under them.

Taking the dagger that was clipped to one of my belt straps, I hold it tightly.

I can't have my scimitars with me, even if I am more competent with them, if someone sees me, I can't have the connection to be made between the mask and my real identity.

I slouch slightly, seeming shorter than I am, for a fourteen-year-old, I am quite tall, 5'9 and I can still grow, when the growth spurt kicks in, I should be at least Qrows hight.

"Alright, see you in a bit, okay?"

Raven flew down on the roof as I stood up. the red eyes of my mask didn't hinder my vision at all since there is no tunnel vision.

I already checked for any cameras around this place and there were none, probably were some cameras inside the buildings but I did not care about that for now.

Closing my eyes, I basked in the feeling of my semblance covering my body and then came the feeling of weightlessness. Opening my eyes again, I couldn't see my body anymore, just a gathering of smoke. With an equivalent of a sigh or whatever smoke could do, I glided down to the alleyway.

As soon as I was close enough, I turned back and landed in a crouch.

Looking up, I saw Rave landing on a nearby rooftop. Rolling my eyes, I sprint off, looking for a possible target.

-Raven POV-

What does he mean by "One of the worst times to show up"?

Flapping my wings, I watch him from the sky. This turning into smoke ability is new, even to me. Usually, he trains without minding me, but I guess he keeps some secrets close to his chest.

Now the question is: What is he looking for?

No, the real question is, why is he running at a wall?

He jumped, turning into smoke and used the momentum of the jump to reach the edge of the roof.

So this form is less affected by gravity, most likely why he isn't using it to fly. If he could fly his fire attacks would be more effective...

...

...I lost him.

In my monologue, I lost him.

Giving a bird's equivalent of a sigh, I flap my wings a bit harder to look for him.

Seriously, what a troublesome child.

-Roy POV-

"So, how much did you get?"

"I got the total of two hundred and forty Lien. Those peasants are not worth much, are they?"

I rose an eyebrow, the way they are talking meant that they are from the upper-class district or are working for someone there.

"Yeah, he won't be very happy about it, but what can we do, he will probably assign us to another part of the town."

...Hmm... Or they were just looking for a gang and were enough of assholes to call others peasants.

Well, whatever.

If they don't have an aura, too bad, If they do... Too bad they met me.

Twitling my dagger around, I turn into smoke and glide down close enough for them not to notice since I was in the shadow and... you know, They had their backs turned to me.

Raising my leg, I sent a kick toward one of them.

Surprising all three of them. Taking advantage of this, I get a hold of one of the two still standing and threw him to the other, knocking them both down.

The one I attacked first was already in the middle of standing up, so I grabbed him by the collar and rammed him against the wall.

My instincts flared and the hair at the back of my head, I knew that I had an aura, I knew the blades did not affect me anymore. I was basically untouchable by any conventional means.

That didn't stop me from twisting my body, swinging my dagger and cutting off an arm at the elbow.
