Chapter 7 - Progression and entering the Beacon grounds

When he was younger, Nephrite imagined himself being transmigrated into various novels, shows and animes. Of course RWBY was one of top worlds he would go to if he had the choice.

He imagined himself as Jaune or even a girl attending beacon and fighting Salem. Knowing about Cinder's plans or even having a fellow enemy/friend transmigrator. He dreamed about many things.

Yet he never imagined himself in a body of a 6 year old with Neo being his only company after arriving.

A world that revolved around things that aren't simply about fighting Grimm had given him another look at mundane life.

He had seen it from many perspectives. From a dishwasher to a renowned chef, from there he went further and maxed 3 more jobs.

'Jobs' He thought as he opened a tab that showed his progression.

[Description: Many do not consider this as a path at all and yet they rely on it daily. A small cog in the whole system yet an important one nonetheless.]

[Description: Path usually treaded to explore a world of 'taste'. An incredible path that doesn't end at all. Some chefs throughout the dimensions are considered alchemists thanks to their knowledge and skill in this incredible world. World that transcends and reaches every intelligent civilization.]

[Painting & Drawing Artist LVL: 30/30]

[Description: Path usually treaded to explore a world of 'imagination'. It grants one the power to express their thoughts on a deeper level. Some artists across dimensions could even create Universes with life.]

[Gardener LVL: 30/30]

[Description: A Path of pure beauty and tranquillity. Some gardeners can even create illusions that calm or even confuse others.]

[Teacher LVL: 50/50]

[Description: Perhaps a path more important than any other. It gives an opportunity for the young lights to shine brighter in the world. A heavy responsibility that may decide the path of many. It could bring a spark needed for a change or it could be doom for many.]

The teacher job was the most interesting of all. The more jobs he would max. the more subjects he could teach. The job itself worked as an efficient way to teach others.

He could still teach others but with the job maxed he could do it much better. It also had an interesting mechanic. The more energy or rather enthusiasm he shows toward the subject in question the more effectively he can teach.

If he teaches with a monotone voice, the students would easily get everything and would perform well. But if he used some enthusiasm and energy the students could eventually rival the best of the best.

[Description: Once mastered the painter can even paint with their eyes closed at the peak level. Can express any imagination on the canvas.]

[Drawing skill LVL:15/15]

[Description: It is said that the master drawer does not need paper as anything can be drawn upon with enough skill and strength.]

[Gardening skill LVL: 15/15]

[Description: One of the most unknown Paths and has been treaded by very few. A Path with no seeming potential can turn even the strongest with no emotions to an emotion filled beings. Transcendent beings can even gain enlightenment.]

[Plant knowledge skill LVL: 18/???]

[Description: Representation of every living plant in Remnant and beyond. To this day not all species on Remnant have been documented yet. This skill can be obtained by multiple professions.]

[Impart LVL: 20/20]

[Description: The ability to fluently and effectively give user's students skills and knowledge. At maximum level user can invoke enlightenment if the student is lucky enough.]

[Teacher's Aura LVL: 1/1]

[Description: This skill can potentially scale to infinity. It depends on the quality of the teacher to bring out it's effects.]

He gained quite a lot of skills over the years and the one that baffled him the most was the Teacher's Aura.

it was seemingly powered by enthusiasm but oftentimes could be manifested through many means. Generally as long as a teacher tries hard enough it is materialised.

After the decade long journey where he met many new people he finally arrived at the gates of Beacon.

Not as a huntsman student but as a huntsman self-taught trainee. Everyone that doesn't have a background of either a school like signal or from an experienced huntsman/huntress is considered 'Self-taught'.

And now he and Neo stood before the gates of the Academy. Beacon wasn't just big. No, it resembled a small city of it's own. Their school grounds could house over 50 000 students easily at any given time.

And at it's peak it is said that it housed over 75 000 huntsmen/huntresses students. It was a magical sight worthy of one of the 4 official huntsmen/huntress academies.

Though only half of the students were usually in the academy itself and majority of those were first and second year students.

First two years prepare you both academically and skill wise. The third year is meant to give students experience against Grimm in a semi-controlled environment and fourth year students experience life near the frontlines.

As Nephrite stepped through the gates of the Beacon Academy a system notification sounded.

[Ding! User is of age and has fulfilled a requirement to unlock Combat related job tree.]

[Ding! User has received the huntsman student job.]

[Processing every past skill and job. Granting a unique skill formed through the accumulation of Sixth senses. Eliminating every other sixth sense skill... Elimination complete. Skill generated.]

[Description: Gives the user the ability to 'sense' things previously unseen. Like a computer running in the background the user's perception is drastically improved and user's senses can be controlled at will.]

[Description: A skill that gives the user the ability to understand the essence of the subject being taught.]

[Description: Way to manifest the power of the soul. User doesn't have sufficient knowledge and experience to 'unlock' the skill yet.]

[Upon graduating unique combat professions may show up depending on the user and his actions.]

Quickly reading through the messages, Nephrite grinned and walked through the gate.

'Aaaah finally.' He thought to himself. Earlier this day the magical effect of the 'Age manipulation' had fully worn out and disappeared.

From now on he would normally 'age'. He did a good job with his secrecy and as long as one doesn't dig too deep they won't find anything. And there were 2 people that knew about his skill.

Neo and Coco. Coco finally confronted Nephrite after she started attending Beacon. After all she had seen him throughout roughly 5 years and he did not change one bit.

The only person that may have a clue was probably Summer Rose that he hadn't seen since he finished maxing his Chef job.

But it didn't matter that much anymore. He could become strong. After he did some testing with Neo he matched his physical status points with hers and dumped the rest to the Aura category.

Nephrite had to stop walking as an unprecedented feeling washed over him. His Aura reserve became huge. He didn't know how much yet but he was eager to find out.

After all this is why he wanted to live in a world like Remnant! A place where the power ceiling is way higher.

Neo gawked at Nephrite as she felt his Aura. He just stepped through the gate and it magically awakened!

Nephrite just patted her head and simply said. "Don't worry about it." She nodded and they started walking once again.

After the incident there were some tensions but gradually Neo matured a bit. She also chose the same weapon as she did in the original RWBY.

It was actually Coco's input that prompted her to have such weapon. It was also a bit more advanced and she could use dust to create a kind of a bullet from her parasol.

Nephrite on the other hand was going to claim his weapon after they get through basic qualifications.

The basic qualification was actually pretty simple and yet had one large hurdle.
