chapter 1: Little Girl

"Mom, are we there yet?" Lynn's childish voice attracted the attention of her mother, who was speaking to Lynn's father.

"Yes baby, we will reach there soon."Lynn's mother Amanda said to her five-year-old daughter.

Lynn immediately sat back in her seat after getting her mom's confirmation.

Her mother said they are going to Lynn's father's best friend's house after a long time.

Its been five years since Lynn's parents went to another country to expand their family business, and they are back in the states after everything got settled there.

Lynn is looking outside through the window of the car. She was looking at the mansions passing by, at the new things. The buildings and the roads were new to her from her country before.

Soon they reached the mansion.

"Lynn. look, we are here at Uncle Richard's house." Amanda said to Lynn.

Lynn stared at the gates opening. They have finally arrived. Lynn began to feel excited as she didn't go anywhere other than the hotel room and some restaurants after coming to this country. Their mansion is still undergoing some remodeling so they are still staying at the hotel owned by their family.

Lynn hopped out of the car as the driver opened the door.

"Slow down, Lynn. You are going to fall if you are not careful."Amanda said while Laughing at her daughter.

"But Mom, it is so boring to stay in the car. I haven't been out since I came here," Lynn said while jumping up excitedly.

"Okay baby, now slow down," Amanda said while shaking her head.

Lynn is looking curiously at the couple exchanging greetings with her father.

"Hello Blake, Long time no see. How are you, man?" The man said to Lynn's father while bumping his hand lightly at Lynn's father.

"Hi, Richard, Good to see you," Blake replied.

Both couples were having a little discussion outside when Lynn's father suddenly called Lynn to come to him.

Lynn went to her father and held his hand.

"Richard, Lily, This is Lynn," Blake said.

Then blake held Lynn in his arms and told her, "Lynn, This is Uncle Richard and aunt Lily."

Lynn was shy because she suddenly became the center of attention and hid in her father's arms.

Lily was squealing while looking at Lynn.

"Oh my god Amanda, Lynn is so cute. Ahh… my eyes became purified by just watching her." Lily said being a bit dramatic.

Lynn blushed after hearing Aunty lily's words. Lily felt shy since it was new for her, back in her country she didn't go out much and stayed at home.

The adults laughed at the shy Lynn. Lynn became even more embarrassed as her cheeks became even more flushed.

Lily teasingly looked at Lynn and said, "Okay now, Let's go in. Lynn, I have prepared lots of delicious food for you, and let me introduce you to my two little sons. I know you are going to love playing with them."

Everyone went inside together. Lynn was still in her father's arms and was looking at Lily since she told her she is going to introduce her to her kids.

Lynn knows that the older kid is the same age as her since her father told her about him on the way and she is excited to meet him since she didn't have any friends of her age before.

Soon they entered the living room.

There was a kid on the sofa.

Luke, a 5-year-old with an angelic appearance, watched Lynn's fascination with a hint of curiosity in his clear blue eyes. His black hair framed his innocent face, and his small, button-like nose gave him an irresistibly cute look. Despite his childishness, he exuded an aura of quiet confidence that intrigued Lynn.

Lynn has always liked everything pretty. she got attracted to the boy as soon as she saw him.

Luke was also looking at Lynn curiously even though he maintained indifference outside. It was his first time seeing someone as pretty as Lynn.

Lynn adorned herself in a simple yet charming white dress that perfectly complemented her innocence. With her twin tails gently swaying and framing her cherubic face, she resembled a delightful little dumpling, radiating an undeniable cuteness that could melt even the coldest of hearts. 

There were never any Little girls who came to the mansion before.

"Dad, Put me down," said Lynn.

Blake put down Lynn while looking at her amusedly.

Lynn didn't know what to say since it was her first time meeting him and stood where she was.

Lily looked at Lynn who wanted to go to the boy but was hesitating and called the boy with a small smile, "Luke, come here."

Luke immediately jumped up from his sofa and came to his mom.

Lily first introduced Luke to Blake and Amanda.

Lily squatted down to the kid's level and introduced them to each other, "Luke, This is lily, Uncle Blake's daughter, and Lynn, this is older my son, Luke."

Luke saw that Lynn was looking at him without blinking.

Normally if it was any other kid, he would have blushed by now but Luke was acting a bit indifferent and just said, "Hello."

Lynn looked at Luke and also said "Hi."

Luke immediately became silent and was not speaking anymore.

Lily looked at Luke and let out a sigh.

It has always been like this, Luke has always been smarter for his age and didn't hang out with other kids. It's not like he is disgusted with them or anything but it is just that he always thinks differently from them and their thought processes are different.

Lily hopes that Lynn will be able to be friends with Luke.

"Luke, why don't you take Lynn to your playroom and play with her," Lily said.

Luke gave his mother a 'Really, Are you making me do this' Look but still let out a small sigh in defeat.

He looked at the little girl before her and just said a single word and started walking.

"come."

Lynn looked at her mother when she saw her nod, she immediately became happy and started to follow Luke.

The adults saw both of them going to the elevator to go to the first floor.

Lily and Richard let out a sigh.

Blake and Amanda Looked at both of them and know their concerns and said with a smile.

Richard explained Luke's situation when he spoke to Blake last night.

"Don't worry, Richard," Blake reassured his friend. "Lily has faced a similar situation with Luke, always a bit ahead of his peers. Let's see how they get along."

"Yeah, I hope they become good friends," Richard said, a weight lifted off his shoulders.

Lily and the others looked at each other with smiles and went to the sofa to sit and chat.

Luke took Lynn to the first floor, after passing through a lot of rooms they finally arrived at Luke's playroom.

Luke was glad that at least she wasn't like others who came before.

Luke's experience with other kids was pretty bad. His parents always thought he didn't have any friends due to him being smarter than any of them and not accepting them due to his high IQ but, that was not the case. He would like to have some friends of his own. Even if his IQ is higher than most, he was still a kid and would love to have some friends. But, the condition doesn't allow him.

Since their family was richer than most of them, the kids would either try to butter up to him or would try to become his follower, they were not like friends at all. Some older kids even tried to go to the study room to get some documents ordered by their parents thinking they could fool him.

Luke glanced at Lynn and thought since both of their families are on the same Level. She at least wouldn't try to butter up him.

Lynn was also looking at Luke who was lost in thought.

Luke said, "you can play with anything you want in this room."

Lynn glanced at the room, the room is equipped with all kinds of things, electrical games, toys, puzzles, plushies, even some robots, you name it, it has everything.

Lynn heard this and went to the table which has wooden puzzles. Lynn picked up a puzzle and started solving them one by one.

Luke raised an eyebrow and went to Lynn to look.

Lynn didn't say anything since she entered the room.

Lynn's eyes were sparkling looking at the puzzles. These puzzles are new to her. This was the first time she saw these puzzles and became bent on solving them.

Lynn started solving them.

It was Luke's first time seeing someone solving them. He soon became interested in her.

Luke looked at Lynn who was immersed in solving the puzzles.

As he saw Lynn solving them one by one his eyes were sparkling with joy as if he found someone similar whom he could share his interests with.
