"Mia..Why are hickeys on your neck" Laura said straightforwardly earning a cough from Mia, Carlos who seemed to be walking past the room to his work site paused on his tracks.

"Ehm....It's nothing" Mia knew she had let her guard down this time.

"Are you kidding?Nothing?" Laura questioned as she raised one of her eyebrows indicating she needed an answer.

"It might be a bite not an hickey"Mia lied.

"Oh! Now I get it"

"Get what?"

"What else!! I can't believe you are refusing to tell me the fact that you had a one night stand "Laura said grinning widely as if she had won an award.

"What!!!!!!...." Mia stood speechlessly as she thought of how she found this friend of hers.

"That would be it right,seeing all the hickeys and faint unfamiliar scent.... There are many possibilities of a one night stand "

"Ehm...I want to change"

"Oh I see" Laura said giving her a teasing glare, before she gave her a space to change.

Mia wore the clothing brought for her by Laura.

"Thank goodness" she thanked her stars as the clothing was casual and not revealing.

Meeting room.....

One thing that had never for once happened surfaced in the meeting room as President Yang who was always punctual was an hour late for the board meeting,leaving his ever curious employees astonished and curious as to what caused his delay.

Everyone seemed to have different opinions pertaining to his lateness to the board meeting as they shared their opinions and views about his lateness to each other.

"Could it be he had to attend an important meeting?"

This seemed possible to the employees

"But President Yang doesn't seem to go against his schedules more or less having a real quick meeting,Come to think of it we haven't caught a glimpse of him today which seems unusual " Another employee voiced out.

"That's true" One of the employees showed his agreement.

"Or could it be that our boss had gotten married and decided to keep it from us and the public?" Another employee chipped in making the others burst into a fit of laughter

"That was absurd,Marriage? President Yang? We shouldn't buy that" The youngest among all chipped in.

"I really think President Yang would rather remain celibate than get married"

The same thought seemed to pass through their minds.

The opening of the door just for them to see the devil and the devil's assistant (Sam) walk in was enough for them to remain silent and put a pause to their discussion.

But something seemed different this time.

What was it?

Their boss seemed to be in good mood and the always cold and unfriendly atmosphere of the board room was different than usual instead it was tension-free .

Oblivious of the curious eyes of his employees, President Yang took his seat as he gestured for the commencement of the meeting.

Seeing the employees took no action in starting their presentation

"Are you all called here to slack-off?" He couldn't help but say.

"President Yang, our apologies" The employees finally regained their composure and apologized for the less attention they had given to him.

The marketing director stepped forward as he prepared his presentation, Unlike all other days he seemed to be more confidence since their was air to breathe in the meeting room as it was not the usual hostile environment.

"Start" President Yang instructed.

"A very good day to all, As we all know, Xander Corporation has always been second to none, It's known for good stocks and services, even for it's shares,So the creation of more branches especially in other countries would bring more popularity to the marketing products and Moreover,There will be gains...Hence I have created some documents concerning the presentation"

"Mr. Arnold....Why do you think it's necessary to create more branches after having three other branches, Isn't this popularity and isn't profit earned?" President Yang asked.

"Of course sir, it's true we are earning more profits but we can't hide the fact that the three branches are within the country, Sir, Why don't we make Xander Corporation available in countries like Paris,Spain,London it could enhance even more communication"After saying this he pointed to the document displayed on the projector as he gave detailed explanation concerning his presentation.

"I see, what a nice presentation " President Yang couldn't help but comment making his employees dumbfounded

"Was he being sarcastic"

It was visible he wasn't though.

"The meeting has come to an end and Mr. Arnold, I'll put your ideas into consideration but that doesn't mean I agree to it" President Yang said before walking out.

Only then did Mr Arnold, the marketing director heave a sigh of relief, the meeting room might be tension-free but the face of the devil could make one court his death.

The employees soon dispersed to their various departments

***President Yang cabin

"I never knew you were jobless"President Yang couldn't help but say seeing his so called friend in his office .

"It seems you are done with the board meeting..Wait a minute.."Disregarding his words, Carlos replied.

"?"President Yang raised a questioning glare...

What should he wait a minute for?Was Carlos yanking his legs?

"You seem to be in a good mood today"

"How does that have to do with you being jobless?"Alexander Yang said.

"Oh... come on, don't you get it, you should know I got news for you"

"I'm not interested... Obviously the news would be as dumb as you are"

"I heard Mia slept in your lodge,Wait, weren't you in your lodge last night?" Carlos grinned as he passed Alex a teasing glare.

"It seems you lost your way" Alex said trying to avoid his questions.

"Since you won't tell me, why don't I go check on Mia"

"You can... Why would I care?" Of course he cared, he also knew Carlos asking Mia or checking up on her was a waste of time and efforts. Why would Mia say what transpired last night? Wasn't it equal to her getting awkward?

"Man, you are so brutal"

"Since I'm not the jobless one here, I'm busy"

"Having hotels,clubs simply means I had been hardworking since young age unlike you who is 30 and still working " Carlos said.

"If you think what you said made sense, I'm excited to say that it made no absolute sense".

"Then answer this, how did Mia get love bites on her body?"

"She got bitten then...Since it's a bite"

"Oh I see"

"You can scram now"

"Not so fast, what about your marriage" President Yang of course knew what his so called friend was talking about.

"Soon" That's all he could say to the ever-gossiping Carlos
