"You could at least consider demoting him to omega," Ronald, one of the council members, suggested. "He might still be useful to our pack."

"I'm having him killed!" Alpha Charles made his stand as firm as possible to the Council members. "Sparing him would open the door for many other people to try their licks, since the consequence will be just getting demoted to omega servants."

Everyone at the table was silent, as Alpha Charles's point was valid. With that, it was evident that there was no saving Lucas from what the alpha had in mind for him.

"Nothing like this has ever happened in the history of our pack," Finn, yet another one of the elders, spoke up. "We need to handle it in the best possible way we can, to avoid having to—"
