Chapter 91

"That was why your mother's life was given for yours…" the creature's words kept ringing in Hayden's ears all through the sleepless night.

He couldn't live with the fact that he had escaped death at the hands of the man he had thought to be his father. It had been the biggest shock of his life that the Alpha could have wanted him dead so bad.

Night had passed without Yvette showing herself, and that had him curious. At the same time, he was glad that she hadn't come, as he wasn't sure what he would have done to her if she had showed her face to him.

The sunrise didn't thrill him as much as it did. He had quite an awful feeling that another attempt would be made on his life, and with that, came thoughts of trying to run away from the fortress.

But then, where was he going to run to? That question burnt hotly in his mind as he could almost feel his end drawing dangerously near with each passing moment.
