Visions

I stood there for what seemed like hours before anything happened. Then all the lights went out, it was pitch black for a few mins before lights began to flicker to life again. My heartbeat was racing but the guard was calm and seemed like she was smiling a little, and they were trained to know when to act in these situations. She also felt okay through our bond, emotional but okay. The bond was hard to read sometimes like it was fuzzy, it was a little easier since I knew where she went now though. I kept my eyes trained on the spot where she went down the stairs and I started to see her shadow and hear her footsteps closer! I stepped forward but the guard crossed her staff in front of me and instinctively I snarled.
