Running Away With The Alpha's Heir

"I'll never Love You! I'll never be yours!" Lisa screamed at the man who could end her life in an instant. She didn't feel fear at that moment, all she could feel was contempt, lust, and the strong urge to slap him across the face. Klaus leaned in, his lips mere centimetres away from hers. His warm minty breath caressed her nape, and while she felt the urge to push him away, she couldn't resist him—his temptation. "You can't fight me, Lisa. I own you— you exist for my sake, when will you understand that?" * * The life of Lisa Thornberry changes when the Alpha suddenly snatches her away from the arms of her lover, claiming that she was his mate. He forcefully weds her and forces her to carry his child against her wishes. However, when it's time to present the heir of the clan, Alpha Klaus's rebellious wife and his son are nowhere to be found. Will he be able to find her and reclaim his throne? Or will Lisa make him pay for using her?

Escape?

Lisa

My eyes widened expressively in shock and I attempted to pull away from his hold. However, he pinned me down in place with his body weight, his warm breath caressing my open cleavages.

"Please just let me go.." I pleaded and a mocking laugh broke past his lips.

"Let you go? Are you insane?" He asked and I fell silent. Even though I wanted to deny it, I could feel the pull between me and him. We were mates indeed, and I knew there was no way he was letting me leave this place.

"I'm sorry..." I whispered softly as tears rolled down my cheeks. I wondered what I'd done that would cause the moon goddess to curse me with such a fate. I've done nothing but do good, yet fate has constantly been against me. It had taken my parents away from me, and now had stolen my lover and life away from me as well.

At that moment I had no idea if I even wanted to stay alive anymore. It was best to die and be at peace rather than spend my whole life being a sex slave to a man who had no shred of concern for my well being.

"You're bold thinking of another man in my presence." He read my mind and I recoiled in fear. "I'll give you one piece of advice, forget about everything else. Your life belongs to me now, and you exist to be with me. It's your destiny, and the sooner you accept it, the better for you."

I nodded to his words, and only then did he release me from his grip. "Get yourself prepared, dinner is in an hour." He informed before turning towards the door and finally making his exit. However, Maeve remained in the room with me, her hateful eyes boring into the depths of my quivering own. I had just met this lady, yet she had such immense hatred for me. I understood that wealthy people have a superiority complex, but I could tell that this hate wasn't born from the difference in our status.

"Who do you think you are?" She asked in a menacing tone as she approached me.

I stared at her with a confused look in my eyes. I had no idea what she meant by that question, and I was going through an internal conflict just trying to figure out what she meant.

"I don't understand. Is there something I did wrong—" She cut me off with a slap to the face. Her hands circled my throat, and forcefully she pinned me to the wall. I was an omega, compared to this woman, I was nothing but a weakling. I struggled, but her grip was strong, and she was steadily squeezing air out of my lungs.

"Your whole existence is wrong! You're not going to steal him away from me! Klaus is mine and mine alone!" She yelled out while her grip continued to tighten every passing second. I had no idea who she was, but one thing I was sure of was that she was crazy. The Alpha didn't care one bit about me, how on earth was I going to steal him away from her?

"I'm going to give you two options, either kill yourself or run away from here before morning. If I catch a whiff of you here by the break of dawn tomorrow, I'm going to k—"

"What do you think you're doing Maeve?" Alpha Klaus's deep cold voice arrested her instantly. She immediately let me go and retreated at once. "She's my mate, if you harm her, I'm going to make sure you regret it." He cautioned with a cold demeanor, one that had Maeve shaking in her boots.

"We were just getting to know each other. It was nice meeting you." She lied before casting me an evil stare and running out of the room.

Alpha Klaus gave me another cold look, his eyes steadily urging me to stand up and stop being so weak. I rose from the ground and walked towards the bed, and only then did he walk away.

Once on the bed, I folded myself and buried my face in my knees while my tears continued to flow endlessly. After an hour of crying and cursing my miserable life, a knock came to the door and a maid walked in to inform me that dinner was ready.

She introduced herself as Anna, and informed me that Alpha Klaus had appointed her to be my personal help. She spoke with a soft tone, and was a lot friendlier than all the people I've met so far.

Forcing up a smile, I followed Anna to the dinning room where everybody was already seated. Klaus sat at the end of the rectangular table, and beside him was a man I couldn't recognise. On the left side of the table sat Maeve, her eyes red with hate as she watched me approach.

"Goodday, Lisa.." The man beside Klaus greeted with a smile.

I returned the gestures before replying, "G.. Goodday." After greeting the mysterious man, I turned to meet Klaus's eyes fixated on me. I quickly lowered my head before settling down on my seat. We had dinner in silence, the only audible sound being that of the cutleries colliding against one another.

After eating, Anna led me back to my room, her face bright with a comforting smile. Klaus constantly watched me, and while it made me uncomfortable, I was certain his presence was the only thing keeping Maeve from squeezing life out of me.

I went to bed the moment Anna brought me back to my room. I needed to escape from this painful reality as quickly as I could—but that wasn't my only reason for retiring so early. I intended to follow Maeve's advice and keep away from Klaus. I needed all the rest I could get because I had decided that once the clock struck midnight I was going to escape from this castle.
