Chapter 1:Arcanium; The Entity

The world that was once beautiful and full of vitality.

The world that once housed one of the most beautiful and strongest races in the whole universe.

The world that once used to be the beacon of magic, especially runic magic, one of the ancient and versatile types of magic.

That same world was sapped out of its vitality, drenched in the bloodstains of the life it gave birth to.

The beacon of magic, "Arcanium", was a thing of the past with almost all the inhabitants of this world either brutally killed or forced to leave this once beautiful world.

The culprit for such destruction of the once lively world, it was just one entity birthed by the world's underbelly that housed death and desolation, covered by the beautiful and cheerful facade that could fascinate any other entity in the vast universe.

ROARRRR....

The only living creature here was the entity birthed by the dark underbelly of the world.

It roared for the last time before lifelessly slumping on the ground.

It had killed trillions and destroyed several worlds before finally being killed by the supremes that took care of and controlled these Worlds.

"They controlled the world but weren't the masters of the world they controlled."

The now lifeless body of the entity feared by even powerful supremes now lay motionless with its runic body devoid of any vitality. It was surrounded by around ten people, supremes whose world it had destroyed before finally getting killed by those angered supremes.

The battlefield was filled with bodies of several billion warriors with hundreds of supremes in the mix.

Every dead body was sucked dry of their vitality, even supremes that were supposed to be immortal beings having gotten the same fate as others in the battleground, their bodies mere husks of their formal self.

The atmosphere was bleak with almost every supreme dead and those who were alive all had varying degrees of injuries on their bodies. Some were missing arms, some were floating without legs on their bodies, some were missing almost half of their bodies and one was unfortunate enough to have his head decapitated.

The main reason for such a bleak atmosphere wasn't the death of their comrades but the flickering arcane rune that was covering their injuries, stopping them from regenerating the wounds on their bodies.

Although they were immortals and could regenerate from almost everything, the mere presence of this flickering rune in their injuries was able to disrupt their abundant vitality from healing themselves.

The unique thing about this rune was it could devour their vitality, simultaneously destroying any regenerated body parts, rendering them incapacitated except for recuperation that required eons. They could only rely on the hope that the rune would naturally dissipate from their body, given that its creator, who had engraved it upon them, was deceased and devoid of vitality.

"Sigh, It was not the battle we had expected." One of the supreme, the only female of the ones alive looked at the beheaded supreme with concern.

"Who could have guessed, that demon had already grown stronger than us in mere millions of years?" The decapitated supreme, who was also the strongest supreme left alive spoke while shaking the elemental head he had just conjured. He was also the leader who had rallied several billion warriors to battle against the "Demon" they were talking about. Also, The flickering rune that was disrupting him from regenerating was the strongest of all of them.

"Now, What do we do about his body?" It was the question that even the strongest supreme couldn't answer too as the body of a demon in front of them wasn't something made up of flesh like theirs, it was made up of runic energy.

And, the runic energy was the ethereal form of energy that was the greatest reason the world of "Arcanium" was held as a beacon of magic by almost every supremes in the universe.

"Hmm, We will use 'The Oracle's Labyrinth' to hold his body and let it rest in the eternal shrine for eternity." one of the supremes with 12 pairs of wings answered this question while holding the small seed the size of a pea on his hand. This even shocked the leader of the group as it was the most protected and revered supreme treasure of the race he belonged to.

The small seed looked ordinary except for the fact it had a complex design carved on its surface that writhed and wriggled changing the design engraved on its surface without stopping. The carved design was "The Oracle's Labyrinth" they were talking about.

It was one of the supreme treasures that was formed naturally by the universe and could trap anything inside it for an indefinite amount of time unless the sealed creature was able to clear the labyrinth or someone was strong enough to destroy the treasure from outside. As for clearing the labyrinth, it was impossible even for the strongest creatures once sealed inside due to the ever-changing nature of this treasure.

While they were talking amongst themselves, the body of the creature they were talking about flickered for one-tenth of a "Zeptosecond" before returning to its original state.

BOOM....

As the body of the creature flickered, the once beautiful world of Arcanium also flickered for the same amount of time before..... It was no more.

The destruction of Arcanium left everyone stunned, as they could still sense the pulsating presence of its core even as they were conversing among themselves, moments before it shattered into fragments.

"Had that 'demon' already been recognized by the world of Aracnium as its Master?" This was the question everyone had in their mind because a world as powerful as 'Arcanium' would only get destroyed if its core had recognized someone or something as its master, and the master died.

And also because they were vying for the chance to subdue the core of this world and become its master to ascend into a higher realm of power becoming the true overlords of the universe.

"Why? You say..."

Well, Because, every core belonging to the world is a magnificent creation of the universe that not only held immense power but also promised to enhance their strength and facilitate their ascension into higher realms of power. It was also eternal and could reform itself as many times as it gets destroyed by any other reasons other than the death of its own master.

Apart from that, there wasn't another method to destroy the core of any world, let alone one of the strongest cores, even if the most powerful creatures in the entire universe desired to do so. They were also compelled to persuade the core of the world into acknowledging them as its master if they wanted to become stronger than they already were.

Or, they could try and refine the world that hadn't given birth to its core and wait for that world to give birth to its own core. It was a tedious and grueling process that required both luck(to find a world without a core) and time(Patience and a long enough lifespan to refine that world) in the first place.

Looking at the empty void that Arcanium once occupied, they hurriedly tossed the dead body of the creature inside 'The Oracle's Labyrinth' before leaving towards their respective clans. The duty to send the supreme treasure was given to the supreme from the Angel race as the eternal shrine belonged to them.

While they might have left the void, the ethereal minuscule consciousness belonging to both the world of Arcanium and the runic creature zapped in and out of reality for some nanoseconds before finally disappearing from the void.
