Runaway Male Bride: Tell Me Your Secret

When Riley's brother informed him one evening that he would be auctioned as a bride and married off to the highest bidder, he did not think twice and vaulted out of the house and escaped. On a moonless night, while still on the run, the wounded Riley met the enigmatic Draco. The cold and aloof head of the Sy Business Empire. Then everything changed from the moment Riley's clear watery hazel eyes collided with Draco's cool grey ones.

I Stole Your First Kiss?

"Here's an antiseptic cream. Apply it on the wound." Nurse Bless said to Riley, handing him the cream.

Riley accepted the medicine, thanking the nurse. However, he was confused when the nurse looked at him oddly, not releasing the box immediately.

Riley blinked, then looked at the nurse curiously. "Nurse Bless?"

"Uhm… You should apply some also," the nurse advised him looking embarrassed. Then using her index finger, she pointed at her own upper lips before she added, "Your lips are bruising."

She looked at Riley meaningfully and then at Draco before turning away, giggling.

Dumbfounded, Riley unconsciously touched his lips. Then the meaning of Nurse Bless' words dawned on him. "I-it's not like that…" he tried to say. However, it was useless. Nurse Bless smiled at him knowingly, her eyes twinkling as if saying: so naughty.

Resigned, Riley gave up clearing the misunderstanding and went back to Draco's side. When he saw Draco, he couldn't look him in the eye without recalling Nurse Bless's assumptions in his mind.

Draco noticed the boy's unusual aversion. "What's wrong? What did she say?"

"N-nothing. Let me put a cream on the cut." After saying that, Riley dragged Draco to a chair while he remained standing, opening the medicine box. Then his brows furrowed. He realized he forgot to ask for a cotton bud to use to apply the cream. Riley could use his fingers, but this was for Draco, and he couldn't do that. So, Riley turned around to get one from Nurse Bless.

Understanding the boy's actions, Draco grabbed Riley's wrist to stop him. "Just use your fingers. I don't mind."

But I do! Riley objected to the idea. "But it's unsanitary."

"It's fine," Draco said. Then pointing at a bottle of sanitizer on the table, he added, "Use that."

After using the sanitizer to clean his hands, Riley squeezed a small amount of cream on his fingertip. Bending over, he gently applied it to Draco's lips. As he did, he began to notice the little details about the man, like every curve and edge of Draco's gorgeously shaped lips. Then that indentation between his nose and upper lip, which Riley thinks looked perfect on his face.

As all that came into Riley's mind, Draco was equally distracted. The boy was standing between his legs. His inner thigh grazed against Riley's.

Also, the boy was so close that Draco could count the number of long lashes creating shadows on the boy's face. And he itched to smooth out that lovely naturally contoured eyebrows, currently scrunched together in concentration.

Then there were the boy's distractingly moist lips that even the slight bruising couldn't lessen its allure. It kept tempting Draco. Especially every time Riley moistened them with the tip of his tongue.

He wanted to taste it again, to suck it, to feast on it.

Draco felt like a beast. He really should reign his thoughts.

Engrossed, Riley's finger kept rubbing over Draco's lips, his mind returning to the scene earlier. This mouth had touched his. Did they kiss? And his heart raced. Thinking about it now, he liked the feeling.

What?!

Suddenly, Riley stopped. He got scared of his thoughts. He's going crazy! What's going on with him?!

Riley abruptly stood up. His heart was beating like a drum. Stammering, he said, "I-it's done. We should go now."

With trembling hands, Riley tried to put the cream back into the box. But Draco took it and pulled him to sit down.

"We'll go after I put some on your bruise," he declared, cleaning his hands.

Riley wanted to decline, but Draco held his chin steady, not giving him any chance. Then with apt fingers, he smeared some of the medicine on Riley's bruise.

The moment Riley felt Draco's feather-light touch, he shivered. Embarrassed, he tried to pull away, but Draco's grip was firm.

Draco noticed it. "Don't move yet," he said. Then asked him, "Are you feeling cold, Little Riley?"

Not knowing what to say or how to explain his reaction, Riley did not respond. He clenched his hands into a fist, praying for control over his senses.

What is wrong with him?! Riley was confused about why Draco was affecting him this much, even making him lose his mind; think unthinkable things. That was something entirely new to Riley. It was a little daunting.

After a while of not getting any response, Draco stared at Riley. He saw the boy's flushed cheeks and downcast gaze. Suddenly, he felt like teasing the boy.

"Was that your first?" Draco asked Riley casually, putting the medicine away.

"Huh?" Not comprehending Draco's question, Riley clarified.

"The kiss a while ago. Your first?"

The blush that tainted Riley's cheeks couldn't be any redder. He was surprised by the sudden question. But Draco was relentless, waiting for his answer.

"Yes," Riley finally admitted, albeit bashfully.

With a mischievous smile, Draco asked, "So, you did consider it a kiss, Little Riley?"

Anxious, Riley tried to explain. "I-I mean… I wasn't really… It's not…" But he couldn't complete his sentences.

Draco hid his smile. The boy was obviously agitated. But he just couldn't resist teasing Riley.

"So, I stole your first kiss? Hmmm?"

Riley felt like crying. The boy discovered today that Draco was a merciless man. Dejected, he nodded his head to satisfy the man's curiosity.

Laughing loudly, Draco rubbed the boy's head. As ever, the boy pleased him very much. His face was already hurting from all the smiling he did today. He was glad he went with the boy.

Standing up, Draco moved to exit the room. Riley followed behind with his head bowed low.

They had walked a small distance from the clinic when Riley heard Draco say, "Don't worry Little Riley, you stole mine too… So, we're even."

Riley's head snapped. His surprised pale hazel eyes met Draco's dancing grey ones, and everything seemed to stop. At that moment, the swaying leaves of the fire tree above them froze. The fluttering wings of the bird about to take off suspended. Even the people around them halted.

Then Riley caught himself smiling. And Draco smiled too.
