Sarah's Work

Alaric carried Ethan to a very remote town on the borders of the Empire. It had standing walls and a pretty solid foundation, and it overlooked the people traveling through.

This town was used as a rest stop for travelers and other folks who just got through the monster lands. It gives the soldiers a break, too, in case there were any complications.

Ethan's breathing had steadied out, but Alaric knew that he was still exhausted. He went to the front gate, and the guards checked them for any illegal goods.

Ethan always put his gun into his world whenever they were traveling to a city, and Alaric basically pulled his weapon out of thin air, so they never had anything on them.

"You may enter," one of the guards said, and let them move into the city.

Alaric nodded his thanks and carried him through. He went to the first inn he found and decided to stay there for the night.
