A few hours later, the girl was sitting on the bed, sobbing quietly. She had covered herself with a blanket, and Mridul was sleeping next to her. The girl felt pain all over her body, and her eyes were filled with tears. She started to get up, but as soon as she was about to leave the bed, Mridul pulled her back. "You belong here, with me," he whispered, his eyes glinting with a dangerous light. She tried to pull away, but he was too strong.

"Please, let me go," she finally managed to say, her voice barely above a whisper, tears streaming down her face.
