Chapter 43: Our Weekend Ends
We got off the boat and jumped in the water to get to the lighthouse. The boat wasn’t far from the lighthouse, so we were able to swim to it. The water is a bit chilly, but we sucked it up and swam to it. The lighthouse was just what I had expected it to be, beautiful! We hung out at the lighthouse for about an hour then we got back on the boat.
We sailed further down the lake, the sounds of the water are just so relaxing to hear. You can hear some of the small waves from the other boaters that go by. Once we got to an area where there is open water, no other boats, we docked the boat and hung out there for a while. We just laid back and looked up at the sky. John then got the picnic basket out and set up a picnic for us on the boat. He took out a bottle of wine and the sandwiches that I made. He set it up on the small table on the boat and we sat there and ate.
