"Look me in the eyes, Hazel" Yuka breathed and she stiffened. "Look me in the eyes and tell me you don't hate me. Tell me how you really feel about me," he said and she squeezed her eyes shut, her heart aching.
Hazel gazed into Yuka's eyes. She didn't have to search his eyes. The pain in them was clearly visible.
"We can't be together, Yuka. I get it. I'm trying to get over whatever it is that I felt for you. So, please don't ruin it. I know I shouldn't be here, but I came here because I craved for the comfort this garden has always given me. At the moment, I don't hate you. I don't think I can ever hate you, Yuka" She said and reached out to hold his hand.
"You have to stop beating yourself up about this. It won't change anything" she breathed. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze. Then, she walked away, not sparing him another glance.
