Chapter 9 Press Conference (1)

It was Monday morning and the sun had just risen from the East.

Kara was still sleeping in her king-size bed that was worth sixty-four million dollars, she had slept in late after having to stay up all night writing her new songs for her new debut album.

She had already debuted before but that was as K.S, now she would get to be known as Kara Stewart, so she had to quickly write out songs for her new debut album with the name Kara Stewart.

She was still sleeping, probably not having any plans of waking up when Rebecca entered her room.

"Kara rise and shine! it's a new day," Rebecca said while opening the curtains of Kara's luxurious bedroom, allowing the bright sun to shine inside the room, illuminating the whole room.

"Hmmmm i....s i.....t m...morning yet?. Kara asked Rebecca, half awake.

"Yes it is, and it is also the day of your press conference," Rebecca replied to Kara warmly.

"O....oh w....what time is it?. Kara asked Rebecca.

"It's past seven," Rebecca replied Kara

"Okay! Kara replied while covering her body with the duvet, trying to go back to sleep.

"Miss Kara, please......

"Don't call me by that name "Miss! Kara quickly interjected Rebecca.

"Just call me "Kara" Okay?. Kara said to Rebecca while getting up from her bed.

"Okay, Kara! Rebecca replied Kara warmly.

"Good! I know in my heart that we are gonna be friends, so let's start seeing each other as friends," Kara said to Rebecca while smiling brightly.

"Okay, I understand," Rebecca replied warmly.

"Kara please you have to get up, and have a bath, then head to the spa room, to get a body spa, so you can look fresh for the camera, and also your personal stylist and makeup artist are downstairs waiting for you to come down, so they can prepare you ASAP for the press conference," Rebecca said to Kara who was about to go back to sleep.

"Okay! I will be heading to the bathroom for a quick bath, and after that, I will head to the spa room to get my body massaged and also fix my pedicure and manicure, after that, I will come downstairs so they can start preparing me for the press conference," Kara said to Rebecca while getting up from the bed and heading towards her walk-in closet.

"Okay, I will go downstairs and inform your stylist and make-up artist that you would be down shortly," Rebecca replied Kara while heading towards the door of Kara's room.

"Oh yes! Please do, and please apologize to them on my behalf for my delay," Kara said to Rebecca while putting on her bathrobe.

"I'd be sure to do that, Rebecca replied warmly while exiting Kara's room.

Going inside the bathroom, Kara stopped in her tracks and asked Rebecca the time the press conference was to start.

"10 am, the press conference would be starting by 10 am," Rebecca replied Kara standing outside Kara's room facing the staircase.

"Okay, Kara replied back to Rebecca.

And with that Kara got inside the bathroom to have a bath.

Meanwhile, Rebecca came downstairs to meet the stylist and make-up artist.

"Ehm ladies, Miss Kara just asked me to apologize on her behalf, in respect to her delay, she said I should let you know that she would be down with us shortly, please don't be angry," Rebecca apologetically said to the stylist and the make-up artist.

"No we are not angry at all," The ladies answered chorously.

After about thirty minutes, Kara came downstairs looking fresh and radiant like that of the morning sun.

"Ladies welcome, I'm very sorry for the delay, I slept in late last night, that's the reason for me being late, I know according to the schedules that I gave you, I'm supposed to be down an hour ago, I'm very sorry," Kara apologetically said to the ladies as soon as she got to where the two ladies were sitting down.

"It's no problem at all Miss Kara," the stylist and the make-up artist said to Kara chorously.

"Thank you very much for your understanding," Kara said to the stylist and the make-up artist.

"It's our pleasure," The beauticians replied chorously

"So shall we?. The beauticians asked Kara.

"We shall," Kara replied back.

And with that they immediately started beautifying Kara, they didn't need to do much work because Kara is already an epitome of beauty.

After about one hour the stylist and the make-up artist had finished modifying Kara into a goddess.

The make-up artist did a great job in making Kara's face up.

The stylist on the other hand-braided Kara's blonde hair beautifully, leaving some hair strands to flow down to her back gracefully.

It wasn't long before Lin Xialou, the famous fashion designer and also the CEO of the famous multi-trillion dollars fashion company called the "L.X DESIGNS" arrived at the Stewart Mansion with a custom-made gown for Kara.

She was also Kara's personal designer.

"Hope I'm not late?. Lin Xialou asked as she came inside Kara's dressing room.

"No not at all, infact you are just in time," Rebecca answered Lin Xialou.

"Okay! I'm glad to know that I wasn't late, Miss Rebecca! Lin Xialou said to Rebecca.

"You are Kara's new manager correct?. Lin Xialou asked Rebecca.

"Yeah you are correct, Kara replied Lin Xialou.

"Okay, so step aside ladies, let me get to work." Lin Xialou said to the other beauticians.

And with that, she quickly got Kara dressed in the custom-made gown she had specifically designed herself.

The gown that is worth the sum of two hundred and fifty million dollars was light blue in color designed with seventy carats of blue diamonds adorning the gown gracefully and elegantly.

In no time Kara was transformed into a goddess of beauty, the light blue gown she wore embraced her curves perfectly making her look stunning, adorning her neck was a three hundred and fifty million dollars blue diamond necklace made with over one hundred and ninety carats of diamond, accompanying the gown and necklace was a light blue stiletto and an L.X Designs handbag to match.

She really looked gorgeous and the beauticians were beyond proud to see their creation looking so amazing on an amazing young girl.

The proudest of them was Lin Xialou, she was very happy to see that her creation suited the princess of pop KS or Kara Stewart.

After making sure everything was in order, they came to the dining table where breakfast was immediately served by the Stewart Mansion Head Butler.

After they had finished having breakfast, the stylist and the make-up artist left after bidding Kara goodbye.

Lin Xialou came to Kara and said:-

"Kara, I know you've got a lot of things to do as a singer, but I'd very much like for you to be the ambassador of L.X DESIGNS Please!.

"Okay, but are you just giving me this privilege because we are friends?. Kara asked Lin Xialou.

"No Kara, you've been our ambassador since you were eight years old, way before we even became friends, but I was waiting for the right time to finally endorse you as the L.X DESIGNS Brand Ambassador," Lin Xialou said to Kara while smiling brightly.

"Okay, I'd be honored to be your company's brand ambassador," Kara said to Lin Xialou while smiling gratefully.

"It's okay I've already arranged for the event to take place five weeks from now, Lin Xialou said to Kara.

"Okay, I'll be there Lin Xialou," Kara said to Lin Xialou.

"Thanks for accepting to be our brand ambassador Kara," Lin Xialou said to Kara while smiling gratefully.

And with that they both pathways, Lin Xialou went back to her company, while Kara went to her garage lobby where her limousine was waiting for her.

Standing beside the limousine were Joseph and Joshua her personal bodyguards, waiting for her patiently.

Joshua has been appointed as Kara's new head of security, while Joseph was appointed his assistant.

Standing with Joshua and Joseph were six other bodyguards with an earpiece in their ears for communication, eyeglasses on their faces for scanning civilians for any weapon that could be a threat.

These bodyguards were both elite bodyguards, from the U.S Army extracted and hired by Mrs. Katherine, Kara's mom.

Kara has a total of ten thousand loyal elite bodyguards bound by oath to her, to help keep her safe, if peradventure they were ever to lose their jobs, no way can they return back to the U.S Army, because they have been bought by Mrs. Katherine Stewart and also they were made to sign life contracts.

They looked smart and graceful wearing their plain black suit, with pistols on their waist side.

"Hi, guys! Hi, Joshua! Hi, Joseph! Kara greeted her bodyguards, as soon as she came to where they were standing at.

"Good morning Miss Kara." They greeted Kara with respect.

"Please take me to K.S Records which is serving as the venue of my press conference," Kara said to Joshua, her Head of Security while getting into her limousine.

"Right away Miss Kara," Joshua replied to Kara.

And with that they zoomed off towards K.S Records, the venue for the press conference, with three other limousines containing her other bodyguards, escorting her from the front and back as convoys.
