Chapter 24 Shooting OF The Music Video (1)

It was 7 am, Kara had just woken up feeling energetic for her music video shoot.

She took her bathrobe and went straight to the bathroom to have her bath.

Minutes later, she came out of the bathroom and went to her dressing room to get dressed for the video shoot.

Her makeup artist and stylist were already waiting for her patiently in the dressing room.

"You are here, that's great! We can get started immediately," The makeup artist and the stylist said to her chorously.

"Alright let's start!. We don't have much time!. She said to the makeup artist and stylist.

In no time the makeup artist and stylist started working on Kara.

"I heard You are shooting your video with Jake today?? The stylist asked Kara trying to start a conversation.

"Oh, Yeah! That's unfortunately correct," Kara answered warmly.

"Why did You say that?? A lot of girls throw themselves at Jake's feet, here you are about to shoot a music video with him and you are calling it unfortunate," The stylist said to Kara.

"Who does that huh??...Don't you at least have some romantic bones in your bone marrow?? The make-up artist asked trying to back the stylist's earlier words.

"Let me start by reminding you that I'm not a lot of girls." She stated.

"Meaning what?? The beauticians asked feeling confused.

"Meaning I'm one girl and this girl can never throw her feet at Jake! Never! She said to the beauticians firmly.

"Sorry guys, I'm late again," Lin Xialou said to Kara and the beauticians while dropping some bags on the couch.

"No need to apologize, we know you are always late," Kara said to Lin Xialou in a mocking tone.

"I was delayed by traffic, it isn't my fault that there was traffic on the way while getting here, is it?? Lin Xialou asked while trying to defend herself.

"No one is blaming You here, c'mon tell us what you got in there, we need to get Kara ready soon and fast, there isn't much time left! The stylist said to Lin Xialou.

"Oh, they are in there, check it out yourself," Lin Xialou said to the stylist while pointing towards the direction of the bags resting peacefully on the couch.

The stylist then walked over to the couch and examined the outfits.

"What do you think?? Lin Xialou asked the stylist anxiously.

"I think it's great! What do You think Kara?? The stylist asked while showing the outfits to Kara.

"I think it's awesome, it's wonderful, it's gonna blend perfectly with the theme of the music videos," Kara answered the stylist excitedly

"So, which one do You prefer to wear to the venue of the video shoot?? The stylist asked Kara anxiously.

"I don't know, you are the stylist, you choose," Kara said to the stylist nonchalantly.

"I think the pink gown is perfect, it should blend perfectly with the music video," The stylist said to Kara warmly.

"I for one think the gown has that vibe of a young girl in love" The makeup artist added.

"Okay let's go for the pink gown, Lin never ceases to amaze me with her amazing designs," Kara said warmly while smiling towards Lin Xialou.

"Well, I believe my work here is done, I'm looking forward to seeing you Kara, on the L.X Designs commercial coming up two weeks from now," Lin Xialou said to Kara with a smile while preparing to leave the room.

"Thanks, Lin! I hope I'll make a good ambassador for your company," Kara said to Lin Xialou who was already near the door of the dressing room.

"I know you will, I have faith in you, and besides You are the Princess of Pop, who else can make the perfect ambassador if not you?" Lin asked Kara while holding the doorknob of the dressing room.

"Thanks for believing in me, I appreciate," Kara said smiling brightly at Lin Xialou.

"You are welcome, see you in the commercials, bye Miss Kara! Lin Xialou said to Kara winking at her while leaving the dressing room.

Thirty minutes later the makeup artist and the stylist were done transforming Kara into a goddess.

Kara looked at her reflection in the full view mirror and she was amazed, the beauticians have done yet another amazing job for her.

She came downstairs and went towards the dining room to have a quick breakfast, before leaving for the video shoot.

"Good morning mother" she greeted as soon as she arrived at the dining table.

"Good morning, Baby girl! How well did you sleep?. Mrs.Katherine, her mom asked.

"I slept enough, how about you??..How was your night?? She asked.

"My night was peaceful," Mrs.Katherine replied.

"That's great, so what's for breakfast mom?? Kara asked her Mom anxiously.

"A lot! The cooks and chefs never cease to amaze me with their specialty when it comes to my stomach!. "Come, sit down and let's eat, the food ain't gonna eat itself," Mrs.Katherine said to Kara.

"Alright, Mom! But I hope You get fat, looking at all those fatty foods at Your plate, it's enough to get You fat," Kara said to her mom while taking her seat on the dining table opposite her mom.

"Not on this planet," Mrs.Katherine jocularly replied Kara.

And with that, the mother and daughter started to have their breakfast in a peaceful manner, one could even mistake them for royalties, considering the way they were eating their breakfast.

Ten minutes later they were done eating their breakfast, Kara and her mom came out of the mansion and went towards the driveway where their limousines were neatly parked, patiently waiting for them to arrive.

Joshua, Kara's head of security was seen giving orders to his assistant and the rest of the bodyguards.

"Make sure you stay on close range, observing the Young lady when we get to the video shoot," Joshua said to the bodyguards in a commanding tone.

"Yes, Sir," The bodyguards replied chorously.

"Good! Be sure to always report your status of the post you are assigned to," Joshua said again to the bodyguards in a commanding tone.

"Yes, Sir," The bodyguards chorously replied.

"I don't want mistakes with the Young lady boss protection, all possible security threats location must be mounted and heavily secured, remember I don't want mistakes! Joshua said again to the bodyguards in a commanding tone.

"Yes, Sir," Your orders shall be carried accordingly, the Young lady boss protection is our utmost priority! The bodyguards chorously replied firmly.

And with that, Kara and her Mom arrived at the driveway, where their bodyguards and limousines were patiently waiting for them while listening to the orders of their "chief".

"Good morning, Mrs.Stewart!

"Good morning, Young Miss Stewart! Joshua and the other bodyguards greeted as soon as they saw Kara and her Mom.

"Good morning to You too, boys," Mrs.Katherine responded warmly.

"How did y'all sleep?? Kara asked Joshua and the bodyguards respectfully.

"We slept well, Miss Stewart, thanks for Your concern," Joshua and the bodyguards responded cheerfully.

"Alright, enough chit-chat, let's get going, we are late already," Mrs.Katherine said to Joshua and the bodyguards.

"Affirmative Madam," Joshua replied to Mrs.Katherine with respect while opening the limo door for the mother and daughter to get in.

"Try to be easy on Your men sometimes, they are human beings, not supernaturals," Mrs.Katherine said to Joshua while entering the limousine alongside Kara.

"I will try to go easy on them, Madam, but not today, today is a special day for us, and failure or incompetence in protecting Young Miss Stewart is not an option! Joshua said to Mrs.Katherine while closing the limo door.

"Whatever," Mrs.Katherine said to Joshua while rolling her eyes inside the car.

And with that, Joshua got into the limo, turned on the ignition, and zoomed off heading to the venue of the video shoot, alongside the other four limousines containing the other bodyguards, accompanying Kara and her mom's limo as convoys.
