Chapter 21 Figuring Out The Identity OF The Strange Guy.

It has been a month since I last saw Jeffrey (Joffrey) working in the laundry unit of K.S Records.

"What might have happened to him?. I kept asking myself.

"Why isn't he coming to work??

"Is it because of what I did a month ago??

"Didn't he say he wasn't angry with me??

These were the question that was clouding My mind and I needed answers.

I have been thinking of how Jeffrey was so in similarity with the strange guy this past month.

His smile was very similar to Jeffrey's smile.

His way of laughter was no different from Jeffrey's laughter.

Even the sound of his voice was also similar to Jeffrey's voice.

"Why are they both similar yet strangers to each other?? I asked myself.

This Jeffrey in question was having a dark brown hair color, while the strange guy that confessed his so-called love for me was having a black hair color, making them look like unidentical twins but this was just my theory, I was still determined to dig up more clues in connecting the dots.

I was still in My own thoughts when Becca came to My room yelling for me to come downstairs to meet someone very important.

"Kara! For the love of God, get Your ass down here! Becca said to me as soon as she came inside My room.

"I'm coming, why are You yelling?. I asked Becca slightly irritated.

"Someone is waiting downstairs to meet You! Becca said to me in a shrieking tone, making me wonder why she was this excited.

"Tell the person I'll be down in ten minutes! I said to Becca while picking my bathrobe and heading for the bathroom to have a quick shower.

"Okay! I'll be sure to buy you some time, but you better get dressed up soon and fast! Or you will be losing an opportunity of a lifetime! Becca said to me while exiting my room leaving me alone in the large room.

"Lose an opportunity of a lifetime?? I asked myself inwardly while raising an eyebrow.

"What could she be talking about?? I asked myself yet again not able to find a suitable answer.

Clearing those questions out of my mind, I went straight to the bathroom to have my bath, ten minutes later after having a clean bath, I went to my dressing room and picked up one of My L.X Design gowns, put it on before heading downstairs to meet this important guest Becca was talking about.

Descending the stairs, I saw My Mom and Becca sitting together, facing a figure I couldn't see clearly due to the far distance.

Getting nearer, I was shocked to see four men in suits standing upright at the back of a middle-aged woman without even a smile on their face, I looked at My Mom questioningly demanding to know who they were but she just smiled at me.

"Come, Baby girl! Please I want You to meet her Imperial Royal Majesty!

"Empress Margareth Mountbatin Tagaryean!. Empress of the Echancian Empire!. My Mom said to me as soon as I came to their midst while smiling brightly.

"Empress???... I asked My Mom totally shocked, I couldn't believe an Empress would be in my house in broad daylight, no wonder Becca was insisting I get dressed soon and fast.

"But what could she be doing here?. I asked myself while advancing to her side to extend my greetings and respect, at least she is an Empress and she deserves this much before I could get to bombard her with my questions.

"Good Day, Your Imperial Royal Majesty! I greeted while curtsying respectfully.

"Good day to You too, Princess! Empress Margareth responded.

"Please take a seat! I know You have so many questions about the reason I'm Here?. She said to me, gesturing for me to sit down while I just nodded My head feeling nervous.

"I and Your manager alongside Your Mom have been discussing about You having a concert at Chadcia, the Capital of the Echancian Empire! Empress Margareth said to me warmly with a pause.

"I know very well that You are still a high school student, hence Your concerts holding here at American states, and I'm a lover of education and I don't joke with studies," She emphasized further.

"But Your mother told me ever since Your secret was out, You've been homeschooled! Empress Margareth said further to me warmly.

"That's it! I exclaimed inwardly when the realization hit me.

Jeffrey and the strange guy are one, I wouldn't have been able to figure it out if Empress Margareth hadn't mentioned My secret, I could remember when I was still having a double identity, I had a wig to separate My celebrity self from My normal self, only those who could observe Me properly would be able to know that I am the celebrity Pop Princess and the normal teenage girl.

But none of them could figure it out, not even Tracy My best friend, or Oliver, because they were all thinking inside the box, instead of thinking outside the box.

This thought made Me conclude that Jeffrey and the strange guy are the same people, perhaps he might have worn a wig just like myself when I was still having my double life!. I thought inwardly.

I was still in my own thoughts when I heard My Mom coughing on purpose, trying to bring Me back from the clutches of My thoughts.

"Ahem! Ahem! Ahem! Ahem! I could hear My Mom coughing on purpose, turning my attention to her to see if she's okay, she glared at me with the eyes that say "If You screw this up You are dead."

I shuddered in fright when I thought of My Mom punishing Me if I should screw this up.

"So, What do You say Kara??

"Are You going to agree with My ideas?. Empress Margareth asked me warmly while looking at me inquisitively.

"I'm so sorry, Your Imperial Royal Majesty! I wasn't quite paying attention! Please forgive me! I said to her apologetically.

"It's okay Princess! I was saying that since You are being homeschooled, You could just hold the concert for a night and return to America the next morning! She said to me while smiling warmly.

"Oh, I think that could work but.....

"Please it's My daughter's birthday three months from now! Empress Margareth quickly interrupted me.

"She's about Your age and she's a very big fan of Your songs! Empress Margareth continued.

"She always wanted to attend Your concerts and meet with You face to face but His Imperial Royal Majesty, Her father, forbids her from leaving the Capital to a foreign country because of her age! Empress Margareth said to me in a convincing tone.

"Not long ago, I saw her praying to Zeus begging and crying to Zeus profusely, asking him to touch her father's heart, so he could allow her to travel here, so she can be able to witness Your concert before the year runs out.

"When I saw her in that state, I felt pity for her, so I decided to come here Myself and beg You to please consider holding a concert in Chadcia, the Capital of Echancia Empire.

I wanted it to be one of her thirteenth-year birthday gifts that she will cherish! Empress Margareth said to Me in a sad tone.

"Okay, I'll do it! I said to Empress Margareth warmly.

"You will?? She asked Me still not believing what she was hearing.

"I will! I'm sure I'll be done with the recording of My music album, and the shooting of My music videos, and the shooting of My commercials, before the three months to Your daughter's birthday elapses! I said to Empress Margareth while smiling brightly.

"Thank You very much, Kara! You just made a young girl's wishes come true! Empress Margareth said to me while smiling gratefully.

"You are Welcome, Your Imperial Royal Majesty! I said to Empress Margareth.

"Here! This is the sum of two hundred trillion dollars! I want You to use it in preparation for the concert, but if it isn't enough You can let Me know by sending an email to My email address!

"And I'll be sure to respond immediately! Once again, thank You very much for helping Me make My daughter's wish come true, I really appreciate! Empress Margareth said to me while smiling gratefully.

"You are welcome, Your Imperial Royal Majesty! I'll be sure to let You know if I need anything else! I said to her while smiling brightly.

"See You at Chadcia then! Empress Margareth said to Me smiling brightly while preparing to leave.

"See You at Chadcia too Your Imperial Royal Majesty! Hope You have a large Stadium because most of My fans might come there! I said to her jocularly.

"The Chadcia International Stadium was built to accommodate the entire Empire along with one additional continent.

"Apart from the Royal Palace of Enchancia, the Stadium is the biggest building ever to be built by mankind, so, I think it would be enough to accommodate Your fans! Empress Margareth said to Me with a warm smile.

"Alright if You say so, Your Imperial Royal Majesty! I said to her while smiling brightly.

"Besides those of Your fans who might be less fortunate to attend Your concert will still be able to watch the concert video on YouTube right?? Empress Margareth asked me.

"Yes, they will be able to! I answered her warmly.

"Alright, I'll be taking My leave now!. I have to meet with Your American President Alex Bryan, he must be getting restless by now, wondering when I'll be showing up! Empress Margareth said to Me while heading towards the door leading to the lobby of My mansion.

"You also visit the white house?? I asked Empress Margareth.

"Yes, Princess, it's one of the houses of world leaders I visit when called upon! Empress Margareth said to me.

"Wow, that's so cool! I said to her back.

"Thanks! I'll see You later in two months, bye for now! Empress Margareth said to Me as soon as she got into her limousine.

"Bye! I said to her with a bright smile while waving at her departing convoys.

And with that, I got into the mansion and started discussing with My Mom.

"Mom! Can You believe it???

"I'll be performing at Chadcia in favor of the Empress herself! I said to My Mom with an excited tone while shrieking in happiness.

"For a moment I thought You were gonna ruin it because of Your annoying thoughts You always think about! My Mom said to me with a stern voice, indicating that she's mad with me.

"Mom, I'm sorry, I was just thinking about something important! I apologetically said convincingly to My Mom.

"We have to start working on recording and producing Your music album soon and fast, You saw the huge amount of money she just gave You right??. Becca said to Me in a questioning manner.

"Yes, I did, and guess what Becca?? I said to her.

"What is it? Becca asked Me while raising an eyebrow.

"You just guess! I said to her happiness totally enveloping my voice.

"You know I'm not good at guessing, so let's not waste much time on that! Becca said to me.

"What is it?? Spill! She asked me anxiously

"You could have at least tried to guess! I said to her while pouting, pretending to be annoyed.

"I'm sorry I didn't try to guess what You wanted to say to Me, like I said I'm not good at guessing, so, You better tell me what it is You wanted to tell me or forget it! Becca said to me while preparing to go upstairs.

"I just figured out the strange guy's identity! I said to Becca while shrieking in happiness.

"You Did?? Becca asked me still not believing me.

"Yeah, I did! I said to Becca while smiling brightly.

"When did You figure out his identity?? Becca and My Mom asked me chorously.

"It was during our conversation with the Empress earlier! I said to My Mom and Becca while smiling brightly.

"Wow! That's great news! At least You will be able to focus on Your album without any distractions! My Mom said to me warmly while smiling brightly.

"I guess she's no longer mad at me," I thought inwardly.

"So, how did You figure out his identity from our conversation with the Empress?? Becca asked me anxiously.

"Yeah! How did You figure out his identity from our conversation with the Empress??...Was it the time You spaced out?. My Mom asked me anxiously.

"Yeah, it was during that time I spaced out! I answered My Mom warmly with a pause.

"I have been digging out clues about his identity but I was meeting a dead-end till Her Imperial Royal Majesty mentioned about My secret been revealed in the cause of our discussion.

"I remembered seeing Jeffrey frightened for a moment when I told him he remembers me of someone I know.

"I remembered how he swiftly dismissed the idea of Me telling him he remembers me of someone I know saying a lot of people says that about him, about him being familiar to them and backed it up with the question "Do we in any way have the same hair color??

"I remembered him telling me that he could be the doubleganger of the person I was referring to!

"And I fell for his lies with the feeling of there was something more to him, I left him alone and didn't pester him anymore thinking I'd be able to figure his identity out myself!

"Well, I wasn't able to figure it out on time because I was thinking inside the box instead of outside the box, I was trying to connect the seen evidence instead of the given clues until Her Imperial Royal Majesty mentioned about My "secret," before I was finally able to figure out his identity by using myself as an example, thinking of how similar we are when it comes to deceiving people about our real identities.

"I then remembered how swiftly I dismissed ideas of people trying to figure out My identity when I was still having a double life

"I remembered how I do back My claims to being entirely different from K.S as at then telling whoever thinks I'm her that they must be ridiculous, just to sweep that thought away from their minds and this was exactly what Jeffrey did when I told him about the idea of him being familiar to me.

"I knew he might have worn that black hair wig to My room that day he confessed his love for me but gave up on the wig when I didn't give him a green light. I explained to My Mom and Becca.

"Well, it looks like You are ready to give him the green light now because I can see a girl in love right here with Me! Becca said to Me in a teasing tone.

"No, I'm not! I'm not in love with him! I lied to Becca swiftly.

"Yes, You are! Your blushing face tells it all! Becca said to Me with a teasing tone.

"Fine! What if I'm in love with him?? I asked Becca while sighing in defeat.

"You, guys date, when You are older, You get married and produce beautiful nieces for me! Becca said to Me again with a teasing tone.

"(Sigh) How am I sure he's still in love with Me??...Like he hasn't given up on Me already and moved on with some more matured girl?? I asked Becca sighing deeply while going to the wine cellar to get some wine

"When You guys bumped into each other and stared at each other, did You feel any Sparks??...Like fast heartbeats, or the urge to kiss him right there?? My Mom suddenly asked me after being quiet for some time, making me to stop in my tracks.

Turning back I said to her:-

"I did feel hot all over My body like I was suffering from some kind of fever, and My heart was beating fast like it was going to just jump right out of My chest!

"Well, that's it! Since You went through that experience, it only means one thing! My Mom said to Me warmly while grinning widely.

"What thing does it mean?? I asked My Mom feeling confused.

"It means You both are in love with each other! My Mom and Becca said to Me chorously while grinning widely.

"What?? He's still in love with Me?? I asked My Mom still not believing her assumptions.

"Kara, My Dear! I was once like You!. I was once in love with someone just like You are in love with that laundry staff now. (referring to Jeffrey)

"You might lose him to someone else if You don't show him Your feelings now, because when a guy keeps chasing after a girl for love and the girl isn't giving him a face, he might move on to another girl who might have wholeheartedly given him a chance to love during his time of chasing the former! My Mom said to Me warmly.

"You think he loves me enough to wait till I'm all grown up?? I asked My Mom.

"That's left for You to figure out Yourself in Your adventures, telling from the way he looked at Your pictures in My office on the day of his employment, he must really love You!. My Mom said to me warmly while smiling brightly.

"I hope so, Mom! I said to her in an emotional tone.

And with that, we kept discussing other things till it was nighttime
