Chapter Thirty-Six

"Well, hello Lance." I say to the figure that entered the infirmary. He looked depressed but perked up when he saw I was here.

"Hey Rosie! How have you been? Arthur is still in trouble for going to town, and their discussing getting him a personal escort to curb his adventurous nature. Or at least know when he has vanished." I laughed at the last part and he pulled up a chair to my bedside and sat to talk.

"Well, what have you been up to this last week? Being punished?" I tease and he laughs and shakes his head.

"My parents were cool with it. I was scolded a bit for bringing you along, since your still recovering, but they were fine with it once I said we had let you rest a bit in-between everything and we would have carried you if you got too tired." I laughed at the easy going way he said it. His parents were famous for their apathetic attitude to dangerous things, and only got irritated when you dragged others into it. And it was only ever to the extent of being irritated.

"Anyways I'm glad you got out of trouble by blaming us, it was our fault anyways." I laughed and remembered how I pleaded my case. I had said the two of them forced me to go with them, and hadn't had much of a choice in my weak state. They had accepted that answer and I was allowed to go-to the infirmary and rest. I reached to my side table and pulled out a silver amulet.

"Here, this is much more powerful then the other one. Low chance of being seen through." He laughed and took it before placing it around his neck and tucked it under his buttoned shirt.

"I just think it's funny they immediately believe Arthur would be senseless enough to kidnap you. Well, he probably would now that I think about it..." I laughed at his contemplating expression before he suddenly grinned at me.

"Oh, I got premission to take you to go on a walk too! So let's go and have a little fun!" I blinked in surprise but almost instantly smiled again, I honestly didn't believe my mom gave permission, it must have been the King or Queen. They both kept telling her to stop babying me, and let me wander around with a guard and not be in the infirmary Twenty-four-seven. I didn't want a guard though, but the King said he was going to arrange one for me too since his son was likely to drag me somewhere again.
