Snow, Sunrise, and Sunset
Emperor Carl knew he must step up a trap if Paige did come here with her daughters and wondered if Snow was 100% better after giving birth to twins. Rosabella sat up as Emperor Carl sat up, and they stood up as Rosabella spoke. "I want to see Snow because I haven't seen her since I was taken away from here, and I want to check if her twins are alright?"
Emperor Carl nodded and replied. "You do that while I check with my brother-in-law. I want to ask him if he knows any kingdoms where Paige and her family could go if they do come here. We must wait to hear from the judge after he has scanned the evidence we have gathered, and I hope we have good news."
Rosabella nodded and walked to the stables as Emperor Carl marched to his bedchamber. Emperor Carl sat at his desk and wrote a letter to his brother-in-law asking if he knew a kingdom that Paige and her family could go to." The letter was formal, informational, and asking for help.
Emperor Carl signed the letter and sent it off. Rosabella strode into the stable and over to Snow, Sunrise, and Sunset's stall. Snow saw Rosabella and trotted over to her. Rosabella hugged Snow and gave her a pat on the neck. Sunrise and Sunset walked over to them. Rosabella patted them on the neck and felt relieved to see them.
Rosabella allowed Snow, Sunrise, and Sunset to be as she skipped back into the Royal Palace. Rosabella aimed for her bedchamber, and Emperor Carl was walking towards her. Rosabella stopped to allow Emperor Carl to catch up with her, and they saw a guard rushing towards them with a pale face on his face.
Emperor Carl and Rosabella knew something was up as the guard tried to catch his breath. Emperor Carl saw the general of the guards marching over to them and knew it had to be Paige as he asked. "What is going on, and is it Paige?" The guard nodded and replied, "It is Paige, honourable King, coming here in two weeks. Because she has worked out, she and her daughters have been tricked. Logan had locked his mother and sisters in their rooms after he overheard the plan."
"Logan had informed Ian, Andrew, and James what he had overheard. James came straight here and is still outside of the main entrance." Emperor Carl glanced at the general and ordered. "Bring James here immediately, and we can learn more from him. (Emperor Carl stared at the guard and said.) Have a drink for six minutes." The guard saluted and walked away.
The general strode to the main entrance and brought James to Emperor Carl and Rosabella. James bowed before Emperor Carl and Rosabella. James stood and spoke. "Honourable King, I know it has not been two weeks at all, and Logan was angry our mother had worked the plot out. Logan wanted me to inform you of our mother's plan, but I want to double-check with you and Princess Rosabella if I am allowed to inform you both."
Emperor Carl peeked at Rosabella, and she nodded. Emperor Carl looked at James and replied. "Please, tell us what Logan had overheard and take your time." James nodded as he took a deep breath and stated. "This is what Logan overheard, and I am trying to get my head around it."
"'In two weeks, before the sun rises, everyone awakens. We will break into the Royal Palace and put Ella in the dungeon. We are going to get the blame on her and need to make proof that Ella should not be alive. Then, the Emperor must have one of two because he cannot have two wives simultaneously. He will do everything one of you two says by starting to behead Ella in front of the public.'"
"It just makes me sick to hear that had come from my mother's mouth, and my father is livid." Rosabella quickly grabbed the railing as her face was ghastly white, and Emperor Carl promptly grabbed her before she collapsed. James did not continue as he knew Rosabella did not expect to hear that her fake stepmother would try to get the blame for what she did on her and cling to Emperor Carl by reflex.
Emperor Carl glanced over his right shoulder and spoke. "James, stay here for the night. You can write to your father to inform him you are here. Tell the rest to the general and me tomorrow. You could have food brought to you and take your time. I need to take care of Rosabella and want to ensure she is safe."
James nodded, and the general led him away as Emperor Carl lifted Rosabella into his arms. Rosabella wrapped her arms around his neck as Emperor Carl brisked walked away to her bedchamber, closing the door behind him. Emperor Carl marched over to the bed and sat down as Rosabella's head exploded with anxiety.
Emperor Carl refused to let go of Rosabella, and her eyes were filled with tears. Emperor Carl rubbed her back as she was shaking like a leaf, and they knew they had to implement their plan. Emperor Carl wiped the tears away from Rosabella's face, and she buried her face into his chest. Emperor Carl knew Rosabella was finding it hard and gently spoke.
"I am guessing you did not expect to hear what James had informed us, and it looks like we must implement our plan. Does Luke know about the second house?" Rosabella nodded and affirmed. "Luke knows about the second house because he built it for me to use just in case something happens. Snow knows the route from Luke's house to the second house but does not know it from here to the second house."
Emperor Carl knew Rosabella was distraught and knew he must ask Luke for help. Emperor Carl hoped and prayed his brother-in-law would receive the letter. Emperor Carl stared at the clock and saw it was lunchtime.
