Ella behind us and You two behind her
"Ella is right. It is not every day that you are allowed to stay at a Royal Palace, and this is the first time that we have been to one. Emperor Carl said that Ella deserved to have the bedchamber she is using right now and that you two should be in the kitchen, not her."
"Your stepfather is livid, fuming, and furious. His daughter has treated us with respect, kindness, and caring. But what did his daughter get from us: forced to do the housework, wear rages, get blamed for something that she did not do nor was in the room and beaten up."
"Your stepfather said that Ella deserves to be here instead of you two, and she earned to stay here. We must wait until dinner, and you two must stand behind Ella. You two are not allowed to stand before her and have already had your chat with Emperor Carl. We must wait and see who he is going to talk tonight."
Anne and Sarah stayed with their mother until Luke returned from the garden. Luke stormed into the bedchamber and chided his stepdaughters. "Do not you two even start or think about it because you two are already in big trouble! Emperor Carl spoke to me before your mother, and I left the dining room and you, Anne, with him."
"That me and your mother stand next to the dining room door. Ella is behind us, and you two are behind her. If you two think you should be in front of her, you will be wrong. If you stand before Ella, you two will not enter the dining room until you have stood behind Ella, as we must wait and see tonight's meal."
"I was allowed to see Ella this morning, and she looked shattered and bruised. She was glad that I was allowed to visit her, and we spent some father-daughter quality time together as it was the first time in a long time that we had that chance to have it. We have one more night to stay here and must see who will decide to stay here."
"Now, you two must stop misbehaving, and Ella can stop apologizing on your behalf as you must apologize on your half." Anne and Sarah knew that they must stand behind Ella (Rosabella) whether they liked it or not. Anne and Sarah went to their bedchambers.
Fred, Lucy, Julia, and Emma helped them four prepare for dinner. Angela, Ellie, and Gemma helped Ella (Rosabella) to get ready for dinner. Luke led Paige, Sarah, and Anne to the dining room. Ella (Rosabella) got hold of the silver and gold shoe she had brought and got a strange feeling that she would be wearing it.
Angela, Ellie, and Gemma helped Ella (Rosabella) as they led her to the dining room. They (Luke, Paige, Sarah, and Anne) waited outside as Ella (Rosabella) walked over to them, and Luke helped her stand behind him and her stepmother. Ella (Rosabella) hides the shoe so her stepsisters do not see it.
Sarah and Anne were about to stand in front of her when Luke quickly turned around. Sarah and Anne quickly stood behind Ella (Rosabella). Emperor Carl came to the dining room with the six people who sat with them twice before and saw what had happened.
Emperor Carl placed his right hand up, and the six people stopped. Emperor Carl strolled to Luke, Paige, Sarah, Anne, and Ella (Rosabella). Ella (Rosabella) did not make eye contact with him; she bowed and did a short curtsy before him.
Emperor Carl saw her and bowed before her. They stood, and Emperor Carl affirmed. "Rosabella will be sitting on my right-hand side at the dining table; it is her turn tonight. Rosabella, may I have the pleasure of escorting you into the dining room and to the chair where you will be sitting?"
Anne, Paige, and Sarah could not believe their ears as Emperor Carl offered Ella (Rosabella) his right hand. Ella (Rosabella) nodded as she took it, and he led her to stand before her father and stepmother. Ella (Rosabella) knew it was her turn to sit next to Emperor Carl and took some deep breaths as she was nervous.
The dining room door opened, and Emperor Carl and Ella (Rosabella) led the rest in. Emperor Carl led Ella (Rosabella) to their seats, and everyone else walked up to their seats. Ella (Rosabella) felt nervous about sitting next to Emperor Carl but knew that she could show her stepsisters how to behave at the table and sit next to Emperor Carl.
Sarah sat two chairs away from Ella (Rosabella), and Anne sat next to her father's left-hand side. Paige sat on Luke's right-hand side, and the six people stood before the chairs. They all sat down and had food. Anne and Sarah knew this was their last chance to behave appropriately at the table.
Paige kept an eye on her daughters and Ella (Rosabella) even though she only needed to keep an eye on her daughters, not her stepdaughter. Paige saw that Ella (Rosabella) behaved beautifully while her daughters failed to act perfectly. However, Paige felt relieved that Anne and Sarah had apologized to the men for their misbehaving.
Luke knew immediately that his stepdaughters had failed to behave for the third time. He felt delighted that his daughter had acted wonderfully and did not have to apologize to the men on her stepsisters' behalf. The six people knew that Anne and Sarah tried to behave but failed.
Emperor Carl knew that Paige, Sarah, and Anne had no idea he had placed guards in front of Ella (Rosabella)'s bedchamber. After dinner, Ella (Rosabella) knew she must stay behind, and the six people left the room as Emperor Carl called.
"Julia and Emma." Julia and Emma walked into the dining room. They curtsy before Emperor Carl, Ella (Rosabella), Paige, Sarah, Anne, and Luke. They (Julia and Emma) stood, and Emperor Carl ordered them.
"Take Sarah and Anne to their bedchambers. If they say to you that they want to be in the bedchamber that Rosabella is using, they say that Rosabella deserves to be in the kitchen rather than in a fancy bedchamber. Just shake your heads and tell them they have one more night here before returning to their house."
