"Hey Man! What does a brother have to do to get some fried chicken in here?!" a man shouted at the cashier
"Pay," the Asian American cashier said without batting an eye
"Man! I'm telling you I forgot my wallet at home, let me just eat in peace I'll give you your money tomorrow,"
"And I'm telling you, take your black ass to home cause if you ain't paying, you ain't eating,"
Then the hungry man punched the cashier in the face and a fight broke out, situations like this were happening all around the world in a far greater quantity than normal and I may have an idea why.

"Come again for big fudge?" Milo asked to the Ring
<<I have detected immense psionic energy originating from Muir Island that is causing the hate crimes around the world to escalate>> she repeated herself
"Unfortunately Ring isn't able to hack into security footage, if they have any, in Muir island from here, so I have no clue what is going on in there," I told him
"DUDE! Don't you remember?!" He asks with great
"Remember what?" I ask him, it has been a long time since I have seen him this worried
"Muir Island!" he said as if that explained everything
"I need a bit more context than that," I said to him
"You remember Shadow King right?" he said more than asked
"Psychic monster thingy?" I told him
"Yeah, he goes to Muir Island and takes over the minds of its residents,"
"... Shit that's bad, there are some powerful mutants there, but still, we are both immune to telepathy, we should be fine-"
"Fuck no! It's not the telepath nor weak ass mutants I'm worried about, I'm worried about HIM!"
"Again, who? Dude these comics were released before either of us were born, I don't think I read every issue."
"*sigh* Fine I'll spell it out for you, Shadow King has Legion under his control"
"FUUUUCK!"
"Exactly! How are we gonna deal with the Legion of all people?! He erases Elder Gods as easy as you and I squash ants. You need to be around the same level as Franklin Richards or above to deal with that one-man army of Omega Mutants." he said before sighing "I think we should stay clear of this shit man. This is waaay above our pay grade,"
<<Sir, I have recently detected the Blackbird, X-Men's plane, has landed near the Muir island,>>
"Which X-Men were on it?" I ask to her

"Do you remember which X-Men were- are there?" I ask Milo who nods in response
"I remember Xavier being there, so is Gambit, Storm, Psylocke, Wolverine and Forge. There was someone else, but I can't really remember." He said before remembering something else "Oh and Jubilee, God knows 90s X-Men brought that Walking Firework to everywhere they go."
"Great, so any clues who were on the island, besides the telepathic ghost and Beyond Omega Level Mutant."
"... Polaris, Colossus and Rogue. There were a lot more but no clue who they were- are. I do remember he is using Polaris to draw in negative emotions."
'Rogue is on the island? She shouldn't have met Gambit yet, right?' I thought to myself before saying "We can take out Shadow King for good, or at least for a good time, but I have no clue how to deal with Legion except let Xavier talk to him,"
"How are you going to take out Shadow King when he has every mutant in Muir island under his control,"
"Diversion,"
"How are you gonna do that?"
"Not me, you,"
"Me? You said I can't take on Abomination, how can I divert the attention of one of the most powerful X-Men villains?" he said then his eyes widened "Right… I'm so dumb. He is a telepathic parasite, as long as I keep up with his host he will be too busy to notice you, and considering I'm completely immune to telepaths and you have great resistance…"
"Exactly,"
"But why should we get involved with this, Xavier should be able to calm his son down and take out the Shadow King- Wait! Are you only thinking of going there for Rogue?" I didn't reply because that is 90 percent of the reason why I had chosen to go there, the rest is getting a better relationship with the X-Men and making sure Shadow King does not choose Legion as his next host body. "Dude are you fucking kidding me, you want us to take on a man that erases Elder Gods for some southern girl you can't even touch,"
I then look away sheepishly "Well I mean, we aren't gonna fight Legion. And I'm probably one of the only guys out there who can touch her, and she is not just some southern girl, she is the best girl."
"First of all, Storm is the best girl, blue eyes, caramel skin and that exotic hair. Second of all, how are you able to touch her?"
"Let's agree to disagree on the best girl, and I can touch her by creating a bio-magnetic field around myself, right Ring?"
<<Affirmative>>
"See, come on man, let's go save the world from a psychic parasite," I said "plus you owe me for dealing with your one night stands" he still was not convinced "and Storm is gonna be there, her hair is probably grown by now."
"... Fuck it, I'm in. But if I die 'cause of Legion, I'm so haunting you."

-- Muir Island, Archie's POV --
"You know the plan," I told Milo
"Yeah, yeah, keep Colossus busy while you seal SK away," he said
"SK?" I ask
"Shadow King is too long for a name," he explained
I shrug "Alright man, we can call him SK, but don't forget to keep Xavier alive at least until David is calmed down. If he goes haywire and Daddy X is not there to comfort him odds are the Earth will be gone, maybe the Universe."
"Yeah, yeah, just drop me in the forest, I should be able to find him and protect him." He said as I dropped him in the forest.
Okay now "Ring, locate Rogue first,"
<<Affirmative>> she said <<Ms. Rogue is located 200 meters from your location>>
"Thanks Ring," I said as I flew towards Rogue's location, she was rushing at Forge who was standing on top of Wolverine with the intent to kill him.
I created a Force Field around Forge that blocked Rogue's punches.
I then blasted her with a blast powerful enough to knock her out.
Forge looked at me with his gun aimed at me,
"Are you under Shadow King's control?" I ask, he lowers his gun
"No, who are you?" he asks
"Green Lantern, I helped you guys out in Genosha," I said, from the look on his face he knows of me.
"I heard of you, and your friend," he said as he walks next to Rogue he places some kind of a device on her
{Ring Scan the device} I thought relayed it
{{Affirmative, the device is a telepathic wavelength blocker}} she thought relayed it back
"Why are you here?" he asks me "And is your friend with you?"
"I'm here cause I detected immense psionic energy from this island and the hate crimes has risen greatly due to it, I wanted to stop it,"
"I see," he then injector her with something "This should cancel telepathic influence on Rogue,"
A few minutes later Wolverine woke up. He tried to jump at me but my shields blocked him long enough for Forge managed to tell him I 'appear to be on their side'.
While Rogue was sleeping I took a good look at her, she had long curvy auburn hair with a streak of white, her face was absolutely gorgeous, had double DD breasts, and a very round, firm looking ass.
After a few minutes of my staring at her Rogue wake up,
"Ah- Where am Ah?" Rogue asks out loud,
Her accent was really cute
"Rogue, you are in Muir Island, a psychic entity named Shadow King took control of everyone on the island, our friend here, Green Lantern managed to knock you out, and then I injected you with microscopic neurosynaptic buffer, which puts you back in control of your own thoughts and actions, I used it on Wolverine seconds before you showed up." wait, that is something awesome, I can definitely use it in the future.
{Ring can you scan what is left of the buffer and add it to databank,}
{{Affirmative… it appears to be a telepathy canceling and blocking buffer that works for roughly 30 minutes, depending on the recipient}}
"And who are ya Sugar?" she asked me with a smile that made my heart skip a beat
"Green Lantern, newly awakened mutant from Brooklyn," and now it is time to make a VERY good first impression. I reached to her face took an eyelash that was on her face, "You had an eyelash, *phew*"
"Ya- ya touch me?! How?" she all but shouted
"My powers-" before I could finish my sentence Rogue pulled me and kissed me with ferocious passion, she only stopped when Forge fake cough
"Sorry Sugar, it's not everyday Ah found someone that Ah can touch," she said to me looking away in embarrassment,
"Um… Don't be, a pretty girl kissing me is always welcomed, just let me buy you a coffee after this whole thing with Shadow King is over," I told her and she nodded her head.
"Alright, I'll hold you to that promise, Sugar" she said with a wink.
That was… far easier than I thought, I guess spending all your adult life not being able to touch anyone would make you desperate… Am I taking advantage of her situation? A little. Should I feel bad for doing so? Probably. Am I going to? No.
*Breep*Breep*Breep* an alarm sound was heard by all of us
"What's that?" Rogue asks
"Proximity Alert." Forge said "I set up motion detectors around us, someone's coming, fast-" he was cut of when a scream attack hit us
"Banshee!" Rogue said,
My Auto-shields had protected me, "Forge, get your buffer injector ready," I said as I flew at blinding speeds and formed a bondage like construct around Banshee, making him unable to move and/or scream.
He tried to scream but the construct around his mouth made it impossible.
Forge then appeared next to a boud Banshee "Alright Irish, this is gonna hurt a little" he injected Banshee through the neck "The synaptic neutralizer should be kicking in right about… now"
"Forge?" Banshee asked as he got out of control of Shadow King "What in heaven's name are ye doin' man?"
"What comes naturally for the X-Men, Irish… We're saving the world." Wolverine answered
"Care to join us?" Forge asked, "You can start by telling us how we can infiltrate this island, and tear down the Shadow King's little throne!"
"Easier said than done, I'm afraid, the King's creating a psychometric backlash all across the world. He's causing hatred and' prejudice to' boil over, an' absorbing that negative psychic energy to feed his lust for power."
"Absorbin'? How?" Rogue asks him
"He's using Lorna Dane, Polaris. Somehow, somewhere, her power mutated. The poor girls become a type of human catalyst for negative emotions the Shadow King took her and made her a nexus between our world and the Astral Plane. Disrupt that connection and we'll disrupt him. To bring this madman down, we may be forced to kill one of our dearest friends in the process!" Banshee explained what he believed to be their only option, luckily I had another,
"Actually, I have a method on how to take care of Shadow King, potentially forever." I said out loud drawing everyone's attention to me.
