Chapter XXX

He told his children and mother-in-law that he would be visiting their camp for a while after lunch. Ronn's spirit wanders on the way to the Base, planning how he will tell his wife what he has done. He is hesitant or afraid to confess his sin, especially since his wife is expecting a child. He arrived at the Base with no plan, only fear and self-loathing. He would not have returned to reality if his assistant/acting CO and personnel had not paid tribute at the same time. He returned the salute, and the cook accepted his welcome dried fish. Everyone was overjoyed with his return; he had also been gone for nearly three weeks due to what happened when he returned home.

"Welcome back, Sir," his assistant/acting CO Ens, who has also become his best friend, said. Cabalquinto, Robert.

"Thank you, how are you here, are there any snores?" he replied and inquired of his companion.

"Last week, but it was only a minor incident," Robert replied.
