After she left, I was very tired and drifted off to sleep.

The disgusting odor emanating from my father-in-law was all too familiar. With a bold theory in mind, I knew I needed to conserve my energy to test it out.

A few hours later, I was awoken by a series of frantic knocks on the door.

I called out to my mother a few times, but there was no answer. She must have gone out to buy groceries.

Worried that it might be an emergency in the neighborhood, I hastily opened the door.

To my surprise, I found Jade standing outside with her baby bump visibly showing.

What an unexpected visitor.

It appeared that Jade came in person because my in-laws failed to retrieve the house.

Her determination saved me the trouble of visiting her.

She almost forced me into the living room with her bulging belly, knowing that with it, no matter how much I detested her, I would not resort to physical confrontation.
