Chapter 43

The king cleared his throat to start his story, "Long time ago, there was a phoenix called Lytius he was the king of the phoenix clan, he was the most powerful phoenix and the most feared, he was really handsome that anyone would die to be with him, nobody ever got the chance to tell him how they felt because they were scared to see his reaction. He knew well all those that had secret crush on him but he didn't say anything as he wanted them to make the first move. Lytius wasn't really bad, he wasn't as cruel as they think he is.

He never fell in love with anyone because he didn't like that they were scared of him, he wanted someone that was bold enough to face him. There was a time he was injured and he went to the stream to clean himself up. He suddenly tripped over a woman and they fell on each other.

"What do you think you are doing?" Hayden asked, she wasn't scared of this man.

Lytius seemed amazed by her courage, no one had dared talk to him like this, not that he really minded, he was surprised that she had talked to him like this.

"What are you going to do to save yourself" he asked her and she scoffed at him. He gently roamed his hands around her as he grabbed her breast.

Hayden slapped him across his face and his eyes widened in shock, this woman had dared to hit him, he was really surprised by her courage.

"Let go of me, right now!!" she yelled and his hand left her body as she pulled herself up. He lifted one hand up asking her to pull him. She eyed him before she pulled him up.

"You are really beautiful" he said as he admired her body, how come he hadn't noticed her?. He said as he caressed her cheeks, she slapped his hands away from her face as she glared at him.

"What is your name?" he asked.

"Why do you care?" she asked him as she started walking away.

"You turned your back on your king?" he asked her and he heard her scoff, he watched her back as she left. He admired her for her courage, she was truly his type, he just wanted to make her his, that was all he could think of.

The next day, Lytius went to look for Hayden, he didn't see her as his shoulder slumped in disappointment. He came the next day and also the day after it but he couldn't see her. He was really sleepless, he wanted to find this woman at all cost and make her his before anyone else did.

He found her by the stream again as he watched her from afar, he wanted to know where she lives. When she was ready to go, he started following her.

"Is something behind me?" Hayden asked herself as she turned her back to check but saw no one, she continued moving. Lytius was quick to hide behind a tree when he saw her turn. He sighed in relief as he touched his chest, his heart was thumping loudly and he didn't know what it meant, he had never felt nervous in his life. He kept following her and he stopped when he saw her entered a wall.

"What the hell did she just do?" he asked himself, he quickly ran to enter the portal before it closed.

He looked at the wall that he just managed to pass through, he nodded as he smirked, he turned his head but he found her staring right at him with her sapphire blue eyes.

"You were following me?" she asked him, he scratched the back of his head as he nodded.

"Yes, I didn't mean to do that, I was just curious to know where you stay" he half lied, he knew he was having sleepless nights about this woman, he had tried to kick her off his mind but he couldn't, he kept remembering her beautiful face and her perfect body. He just wanted this woman.

"Now you know, leave already!" she yelled at him.

"Are you sending me away?, that wall is not going to open" he said, she turned her back to him and she started walking with him by her side.

He kept asking her question about herself, she would answer and then she wouldn't. She just seem to answer whenever she liked, she was being disrespectful, she knew about that but she wasn't going to change because of a king called Lytius. She scoffed as she said his name again. Lytius kept visiting her everyday and their relationship grew from being friends to lovers...

"You are here?" she asked as she hugged him.

"You did not come for three days now, is anything wrong?" she asked him as worries was clear in her sapphire blue eyes.

He leaned in on her as he pinched her nose and she puffed her cheeks at him.

"I have something to do, well I am here now, aren't you going to give me a reward?" he asked her and she smiled at him.

She leaned in on him to give him a simple kiss but he held her head firmly with his hand as he delved deeper into her mouth. He kept kissing her as he dropped the basket full of berries that he had brought for her on the ground. He kept kissing her as he sucked her lips and she moaned. He roamed his hands around her as he carried her to the bed.. He started loosing her dress.

"What are you doing?" she asked him, but he kissed her again not wanting her to speak. His eyes was clouded by desire he wanted her, he wanted her right now!, he had stopped himself from forcing himself on her because he wanted her.
