Destroying What was Created

Putting those souls asides for now, Michael needed to get rid of Window. While it is probably the most powerful undead around, it had become quite a nuisance with its refusal to acknowledge him anything other than a prey.

Due to its incredible physical prowess, Michael was unable to confront it directly. He needed to touch it to expel it from his world through his power. But with its absurd speed, grabbing hold of it was quite impossible for him.

Since that was the case, there were a few other options available to Michael. One option would be to make use of the demon form that he had acquired from Balthazar.

Demons should be superior to any undead in term of physical attributes, but then again, Window was not just any undead.

It wouldn't hurt to try, however. And if anything goes wrong, it could be easily fixed as long as it were to happen within his world, where he was practically God.

Even Anna and her friends could be fixed but not with Window roaming around and slaughtering every living things purely out of instinct.

Therefore, Michael spawned a demon into his world with the only demon soul available. Without using a demon soul, the demon would be just a mindless husk, easily dispose of by anyone with some sense of self. In addition to that, the demon would not be able to make use of its magic without a soul.

While Michael could take on the demon form himself and fight Window personally, it was unnecessary when he could just spawn the demon and allow it to fight on his behalf.

There was no need to get his hand dirty, or so to speak.

Since the demon was his creation via a spawning command, Michael could assign its personalities and traits and desires and more. In fact, he could finetune it to his liking, from minor or major details such as the number of scars on its body to how deep its voice should be.

None of that was necessary, however, so Michael just went with randomization. It was a waste of time to customize the creature when its sole purpose was to take down Window.

Unfortunately, it came as a surprise to Michael at how quickly Window took the demon out. In terms of physical strengths, Window was far more powerful, but in terms of powers, the demon should have been able to subdue Window.

Magic was indeed very powerful, but if a spellcaster could not cast a spell quickly enough then it would not be of any use. Casting speed was more important than having vast magical energy. Although, vast magical energy granted the spellcaster several advantageous, including boost in casting speed.

In any case, the demon's defeat was not because it could not cast spell quickly enough. It was because it could not cast any spell at all despite having incredible vast amount of magical power.

Michael looked into that and learned that while magic did exist in his world, it was in a raw primordial state. Without a magic system in place, magic could not be utilized by anyone or anything.

There were no preset magic systems available for Michael to make use of, and he had no idea how to even program one from scratch. It took forever to craft the physic engine for the world, allowing feats displayed by Window.

As such, it would take forever to craft a magic system from scratch.

Michael just did not have the time to do that, especially when he desired to return to Earth as quickly as possible. His Earth, not some other Earth since there were apparently more than one Earth.

He made a note to consult a physicist about that in the future.

It might give him insight to the greater universe that he was now apparently part of.

Michael checked what systems were available to him, and they were all systems that his company had created, including the ones that had been discarded due to change of plans and directions. Since those systems were incomplete or faulty, he could not make use of them.

That did not mean there were no system currently active that was not of help to Michael. For one, he could disable the physic system, but that would wreck his world. It would not necessary kill Window.

Michael resorted to using the coordinate system instead. That system kept track of everything within his world in relation to everything else. Teleportation within his world was actually sending a request to this system, telling it to make changes to a specific coordinate.

With a console, Michael could change the coordinate of Window. He did so, sending it straight to the sky. The moment that Window teleported there by Michael, the gravity system took hold, sending the monster plummeting to the earth.

For any normal person, falling such an insane height would have turn them into mush. For Window, it was merely an inconvenience. The damage was very minimal, and thanked to its natural regenerative ability, the damage was negated within a second or two.

This meant that Michael could not keep sending Window plummeting to the ground. Thus, he decided to send Window into a nearby volcano.

Fire was a weakness to all zombies, and while Window was a powerful undead, it was still essentially a zombie and therefore still susceptible to fire damage. The damage had to be greater than its natural healing factor, however.

Luckily, it was, but only slightly. That means Michael had to drop Window into the volcano repeatedly to finally kill it.

Michael decided anything more than a hundred times was too much, so he just teleported the undead amalgamation straight into the hottest magma chamber on the planet. Not actually a planet since his world wasn't exactly round. It was more like a plane of infinite size.

In any case, the moment that Michael gained a grand monster soul was the moment that Window had finally been killed. It only took about an hour.

That hour was not wasted, however, as Michael went through all the discard systems. He managed to find a magic system that he and Linus had programmed a long time ago, and it was in a working state even if it was very primitive.

It took a while for him to understand the logic of the magic system. It would have taken a lot longer if there weren't comments and annotations all over the place.

"Thank you, Linus," Michael thanked his friend before activating that magic system to test.

I hope that you enjoy the chapter.
